  1. The away team loot not being shared is really bad. The looting range of the ship needs to be something like 1km. It's absolutely not fun to have to exit and run around to get everything. Then even if you do that currently, the cost of reparing wreckages is... exhausting, to put it mildly. I'm used to farming in free to play games but your update is more grindy than some of the most pay to win asian games. Please do something about it.

  2. DE isn't going in the right direction lately. The game is more successful than ever and they have almost no servers to pay for yet they're aggressively increasing monetization slowly but surely. No more catalyst alerts then this... I'm not sure what's next and I don't want to know. This game got popular because it was F2P done right, the day this becomes false is the day it puts a foot in the grave, and when it happens there will be no one to miss it like all the greedy games out there. 🙄

Right now this is extremely concerning.

  3. So why can't we get her parts now and have to wait while it's already in the cash shop? That's a practice I can't condone and encourage. First the terrible grindy, uninspired wolf battle pass that removed catalyst alerts then this, when are you going to stop that crap?

  4. It's too grindy and i hate it. Also, too much random junk task that ask me to repeat content i've been done with for a very long time. No, sorry, i am done with plains of eidolon, simaris, invasions and so on, and I refuse to go back to that for a measly 3k points to get some useless junk. If that's all the content team can come up with this game is in trouble.

  5. Ember is fine, it's just not as good as a press 4 to win warframe anymore, and that's okay. Press 4 to win should NEVER be an option. If anything, other press 4 to win ones should get the Ember treatment. Ember is still an excellent glass-cannon warframe with abilities 2 and 3. Damage buffs are at least on par with Mirage.

    1. Kockbacks.
    2. Staggers.

The new archgun mod will let you ignore both, it's here for that.

All in all i'm enjoying the fight, with the proper gear of course. Most warframes are viable as long as your team cleans the trash.

Edit: the mod is a common reward of p3.

Have you got a link for your image? It does not show for me.

How would DE fix the issue though? The only real option would be a complete overhaul of the affinity system (that could end up penalising people).

    • It is not unusual for me to take unfranked/low level gear to high level places. They are good for levelling after all. Of course, I am MR25, so they are modded; and I generally go with the intention of contributing.

Let me clarify a few things. I have nothing against people bringing one lvl 0 weapon along with two good ones in any kind of mission. In the same vein I'm not opposed to people bringing lvl 0 things in non combat missions like sortie spy. I've done that myself in the past. What really bothers me is two players leeching off me and another guy because they don't want to bring their glorious lvl 0 weapon to some lith spy fissure or hydron instead and queued for arbitration because why not. The result is 20 minutes in a defense mission when it should be 13 to 15.

The topic here is max level content, not your everyday mission. That's supposed to be the "ultimate" challenge warframe has to offer yet people are encouraged to bring their worst gear. That doesn't sound like great design to me.

DE, you have to do something about that. High level missions are magnets for xp leechers and they take twice as long to complete due to people bringing that kind of crap. Arbitrations, sorties and elite sanctuary are full of players taking their lvl 0 gear expecting a free ride, resulting in a very upsetting experience for the fool who's bringing decent equipment.

  9. They have done this already. Some weapons are stronger than other and it's only based on their mastery requirement. They aren't old, they're lower tier. For instance the boar prime is almost as old as the game but it's an excellent shotgun sitting at MR 11.

If the devs can just prohibit rank 0-29 gear. It should stop some leechers.

A kick function has no chance of happening sadly. Still hoping for it tho. lol

I'm not too hopeful about a kick but requiring lvl 30 gear and warframes in lvl 60+ content (I'm adding sorties and kuva flood to the list) would be really welcome.

Brozime is a huge dummy but the 4CP is squad is still meta. You will do more EDPS with a 4CP squad 6 hours into Arby's Vs an armored faction than a no CP steel charge squad even with 4 Saryns/4Mags.

Nobody stays that long in survival missions except a handful of players so I wouldn't say it's really an argument. The average player will NEVER benefit from CP on a well modded mag or saryn.

yes, her 1 stacks, but it doesn't scale, it will take you a long time to charge that 200k you're talking about, which makes it kind of useless in actual gameplay. the shield is nice, but very rarely you will be shot from only one direction, and in high levels, she is quite fragile.

this brings me to her 2, the range is abysmal, 6m default range basically means you must stay stationary, which is usually a bad idea in warframe, even with the shield up, the healing rate is somewhat decent, but again, the main issue here is scale-ability, and in lvl 80+ 44 health/s is really not a lot.

it's seems that you didn't notice my main "complaint", she is not viable at high levels, not in terms of dps and not in terms of survivability.

I saw this video after I posted my comment, it basically says the same things and more, and yes, you got complaints about lack of synergy.

    ,

I don't even know why you're quoting this guy. His builds are terrible. When I used to watch his content, he was using corrosive projection on Saryn and Mag lol. At least take advice from people who do understand game mechanics.

If your title is how you feel about it then the warframe is totally fine. None of them is supposed to be good at everything.

  13. Use hush or something similar, then no aggro will be drawn. My deth machine rifle can already play lvl 20 to 30-ish missions for me, what else do we need?

The problem with that kind of feedback is that nobody properly mods sentinel weapons so it's incredibly biased. Add a primed cryo round and some plain damage mods to them and you will see damage going up dramatically.

  14. It's not just Saryn. There are two categories of warframes, the well designed ones like Excalibur, Nidus, Atlas or Harrow, strong but they have clear limits, and the others like Saryn, Volt, Equinox, Nova or Limbo, with theoretical limits that are never met because of their immense scaling or stopping power. A few warframes are in between like Mesa too. The second category is poorly designed not because they're too strong per se, but because they haven't been designed with 3 other players in mind. Team play is by far the most common scenario according to DE's data so it's the one that should be the priority.

If you take a Nidus or Excalibur in a lvl 150 survival, you will still do your job as a damage dealer but not to the point that the rest of the team can just AFK in a corner with trinity giving you about 22589 energy every 30s or so. Nidus and Excal are team players. They're very strong, they do a lot of damage, but they will never either freeze a map entirely or wipe it entirely, which is clearly a press 4 to win scenario. They need some support like a moderate amount of CC or some heals, or some sort of damage mitigation. When I play a press 4 to win warframe, even in a very high level environment, I do not need the other players to do anything at all. I do a couple things and damage is raking up passively - I even kill stuff I can't see, which is taking care of NPCs that aren't even a threat, preemptively.

There's been interesting attempts at migitating that in arbitrations but the drone solution isn't ideal. First the drone is trivial to take down then once it's gone it's back to press 4 to win - or press 1 and E to win in the case of Saryn.

Ultimately the question shouldn't be "do I want to wipe the map" but "should I be able to make core gameplay elements (such as killing enemies) entirely unavailable to the rest of the team", and IMO a good game designer should absolutely draw the line there and make that impossible in any scenario.

When I started playing back in 2013 we didn't have that problem, warframes were support platforms for guns gameplay, and while some variety is welcome things have gone way too far in 2015-2016. DE is obviously stepping back and showing timid signs of learning from past mistakes but first they're still doing this very mistake occasionally like Saryn's infinite damage scaling, then there's old mess to clean up and stunlocking massive numbers of NPCs to the point that they are irrelevant should also be added to the pile, because it is also removing a core gameplay element from the game (danger is important!) at the detriment of other players. Hopefully one day someone at DE wakes up and removes infinite scaling and map-wide CC but since Saryn has been reworked in 2018 it shows that some people at DE take "thinking outside of the box" a bit too literally and completely miss the point and create monsters who obey to no rule, which is the core of the issue right here.

As long as you ignore the time/platinum, endo, and kuva that goes into acquiring and creating a useful riven, that is true.
So, basically every practical gameplay mechanic that makes Rivens distinct from other mods.

It doesn't really matter how much you value these things, by nature rivens are not an investment. By nature. Because they change over time. If you treat them as such you are doing a mistake that is going to backfire eventually. At best they can be compared to speculation. You may win big on the short term and lose a lot on the long term, but that's stretching things a bit.
