    There is another issue. It could be intended or a bug. Either way, it does not bode well for people looking to have 100% trophies on both PS4 and PS5 versions.

    Here's the experiment I did:

    If you earn a new trophy on PS4 Warframe, it will auto-pop when you launch the PS5 Warframe. All good.

    However, if you earn a new trophy solely on PS5 Warframe, it will NOT auto-pop when you launch your PS4 Warframe. This is bad.

     

    What this means for people looking to 100% both PS4 and PS5 trophy lists going forward is to only obtain the trophy on PS4 first.  Otherwise, you will need to re-do the trophy requirements for the PS5's version. Imagine doing the 1M k-drive meters trophy solely on PS5 and then having to repeat it on the PS4 version!

    This is also bad if DE wants to encourage more people to switch to the PS5 version. As a trophy hunter myself knowing this going forward, I will only earn any new trophies on the PS4 version first.

    I realize there may be another bad scenario as well.

    So a new player gets, for example, the 'Some Assembly Required' (Assemble a Railjack) trophy on the PS5 Warframe version.  He can now never get that trophy on the PS4 version of WF since it doesn't unlock on PS4 and he can never redo that trophy in-game.

    I would like to urge DE to re-look and re-think trophy syncs across both generations.

This means that one will need to earn the trophy both on the PS4 and PS5 versions to maintain 100% on their trophies list.  I know majority of players don't care about trophies but this just seems chaotic and head shaking.

    Also, it sounds like on the PS5, you can launch two different versions of Warframe,  - the PS4 one and the PS5 one?  Or will there only be one version and the launcher is smart enough to detect that it is PS5 and launch accordingly.  If that's the case, to earn new PS4 trophies in future, you'd better hang on to your PS4 then.

     

    Lastly, what about trophies like mastering shotgun (rank 30) or building a Railjack?  Do you need to re-level up another unranked shotgun for example?  Or assemble another Railjack - is that even possible?!

    Having a seperate list for PS5 could allow them to combine a lot and the new trophy systems probably is a bit more lenient.

    I wish you're right. For the Deimos trophies, [DE]Danielle said in that launch post that they haven't decided when they would make those into trophies. Hence they are currently locked in-game although you can see them in your profile stats but can't make any progress on them. Her wording implied it will be made into trophies later (My guess is they held on until PS5 details became clear).

    I don't know PSN trophies policies, but this I know. Back around 2015, there was a period of many months when PS4 Warframe had no trophies. Then [DE]Drew posted that Sony had lifted restrictions for games like Warframe (F2P) and they could continue having trophies. Maybe there was another policy to say what the limit was but I can't find any info. If you do, would be happy to hear it.


    Also, Danielle in this post said for PS5 quests needed to be replayed and 99% progression is transferred in order to trigger the new PS5 trophies.  What about trophies like 'Reach Rank 30 with any Bow weapon.'?  If vets have already mastered all existing weapons, that means we need to wait for a new bow to appear in a future update before we can re-acquire that trophy?

  5. Still so so many bugs.

    Near the Necramechs, your transference/operator seems to be affected. Sometimes when in operator, trying to void dash ends up jumping. Need to land and try again. Sometimes void dash just doesn't work anymore.

    Was doing a low level bounty earlier after doing an Isolation Vault. On 2nd stage of bounty when I need to get more kills than the Grineer, not even a single infested showed up in the area. I went further a little bit, activated one of the obelisk with operator.  Infested appeared and I killed it but did not count.  Went back to area, waited and waited and still no infested spawned.  Had to return to Necralisk for an abandoned mission. 😞

    Many, MANY mining spots are embedded within the infested tentacles structures, etc. Sometimes they appear when moving around but mostly disappear again making mining really annoying.

    On the Deimos planet map, Necralisk and Cambion Drift nodes are too close to each other. If you're not careful, clicking on the Necralisk node might send you to Cambion Drift instead.

    I haven't found a single Scintilliant in Isolation Vaults.  Hoping DE can do some serious drop buffs with this resource or give us another way to get them.  Getting ridiculous at this point.

    Lastly, can something be done about the Latrox corpus bounty stage when in solo mode? Not many enemies seem to spawn frequently enough to get the 10 required specimen kills.  It becomes tedious just waiting and darting around trying to find them.  Lower it to 5 or make the required enemies spawn faster, please.

    I can't help but mostly agree.  I dreaded every open world since PoE/Cetus, and this might not be the end (Duviri?).

    Granted there are a ton of new stuff to obtain here, hence the need to grind out the wazoo for every single item.  But the syndicate rank up grind is by far the worst culprit.  Steve/Reb did say they were going to reduce the tokens required (Son tokens I think), so I'm going to hold off a bit.  And I can't say again how much I dislike conservation.  Freaking eye-straining footsteps to follow and infested attacking you everywhere making hunting these wildlife a PITA.

    The 'reduce the grind' mentality can never happen for this free-to-play game, else no one would spend real money.  I get that and I'm hoping DE will further tweak the economy in Deimos.  But my hype for Deimos has quickly turned into despair and shaking head at all that grind now.  I'll probably get around to it but am I going to enjoy it?  Maybe when the tweaks happen and I find the motivation to get those new MR points from the Necramechs, etc.

    I can't understand that after you have added DLC Trophies 31 (!!) times, you messed this one up.

    What I'm more worried about is after you've already accomplished all of these challenges many times over, then DE decides it's time to make them into PSN trophies and you need to do them all over again, since they don't seem to register at this point.  I know they are not difficult challenges but that's beside the point.

    So can we just do away with PSN trophies for this game from now on?  You can just make them as internal challenges within the game and not tie them to PSN trophies (and I'm so hoping this is the case when PS5 WF comes out).

    You can login to PSN normally, see friends online, buy PSN store stuff, play other games, etc.

    I believe Warframe has issues calling the PSN login API or PSN is somehow blocking all Warframe's API calls to login?

    Can you please take a deeper look and not just attribute it to the PSN network?

  9. When WF was launched with PS4 way back around Nov 2013, there was no power/abilities button. All 4 abilities were mapped to the Dualshock4's swipe pad.

    Now when WF was launched for XBox1, they had to do something since its controller had no swipe pad, so they introduced the ability button. For a long time, they supported both schemes on PS4 - the 'Classic' controller where swipe was for abilities and the 'Default' where R1 was the ability button/menu.  Many times during major updates, they would break controller functionality and key bindings, leading them to finally ditch the 'Classic' swipe pad scheme. You can still rebind them as such, but risk breaking your gameplay in RJ and fishing.

    Of course, the 'Default' controller scheme is needed for the Switch console, since its controller doesn't have the swipe pad either.

    When I started playing WF around Apr 2014, I got used to the swipe pad abilities and R1 as melee and only late 2019 was forced to use the 'default' ability button because having R1 as melee broke so many things with both Railjack and fishing. Imagine all that muscle memory I built up and had to relearn. 😕

    I never liked and still do not like the R1 as ability menu but tolerate it or risk breaking the game for myself.  AFAIK, this request has fallen on death ears for a long time now, either due to low priority or just not listening.  I would say just bite the bullet and adopt the ability button/menu.

  10. First time I did with Loki (on Gian Point) invisibility didn't work although I swear I didn't get hit.

    Repeated it with Loki second time and it worked.  First I went invisible, then took extra care to disarm (with Augment Irradiating Disarm), then shoot from afar and made sure I didn't get hit in any way.

     

    Agree with (PS4)trontor that this task should be re-looked at.  Now I fear for the rest of the Railjack and Lich related new tasks - have they been playtested properly?

One of the contributing factors of the 'bad releases' was how they did it for consoles, they didn't wait until major hotfixes were in before releasing them to consoles.  Case in point was Railjack release for consoles(PS4, Xbox) just before the holidays.  It was released to us in almost the bad state that went out to PC.  Then PC got a few important fixes before the holidays like reactors adjustment, crewship not-spawning fixes, etc.  Consoles were left in limbo over the holidays and we didn't get those much needed fixes until mid-Jan or later I think.  Well, guess where all that additional disgruntlement came from?!

    Consoles, while generally behind, usually get a more polished version of the release, thus mitigating some bad feedback, but for some reason last year, DE decided to release stuff to consoles at almost the same time as PC.  Sure, we got new releases faster, but any much needed fixes after just took way, way longer because of console cert process and holidays.  I hope they learned something from this...  for one, don't use major events like Game Awards and TennoCon, etc to rush things out or overly hype things up, and make sure you can fix things fast on consoles if you want to rush it out to us!

     

    Well, at least Rebecca has acknowledged the bad releases a couple of times now.  I can only hope DE has learned something and will right the ship going forward.

    Echoing others again:  Can you please add the Basmu riven as a possible Rifle Riven Mod unveiling?

    Or do we have to wait until the next cert update for this?  Either way, a response as to why this can or can't be done now will be appreciated.

  13. As people have mentioned here, the PS5 is basically a souped up PS4.  It's just like buying/building a more powerful PC.  It's unlike the PS3 where that architecture was completely different/alien then.

    Mark Cerny and Playstation also confirmed the vast majority of PS4 games will run on PS5.  Some "poorly" written games for the PS4 may not handle the increased speed/power of the PS5 hence Sony cannot confirm all PS4 games.

    Hence, it should be just as simple as launching Warframe on your PS5 with your original PSN id, and you should have al your stuff.  I doubt DE will differentiate between PS4, PS5, PS6, etc since it is tied to the PSN id (assuming similar architecture going forward).  And I presume playstation players will be able to play with players from both PS4 and PS5.

    I do have other miscellaneous questions that I haven't got DE to notice yet.  It's posted in the thread below.  Things like trophies (achievements), etc.

     

  14. Taking the current global crisis aside, I never like timed events since real life events may coincide, eg. Family vacation, overseas work trip, school exams, etc. I missed last year's Dog Days event completely since that exact 2 weeks it was live coincided exactly with my planned vacation. Fortunately, there were no significant rewards.

    I distinctly remember some devstreams back last year when DE said they will try to avoid events. Guess not.

    I suppose this game mechanic will eventually become a staple game mode once they sort out the issues and any exclusive weapons, rewards will then be obtainable.

  15. Several threads on this already and I'm beyond upset that this is happening. I don't see any PC users complaining with their update so looks like console related only with Amesha's Warding Grace not slowing anything.

    The sad news is that since all DE staff are working from home, I'm not sure if they are equipped or are able to fix it via a hotfix or submit to cert.

    None of the staff have acknowledged this bug yet and that's worrisome in itself. I've seen them acknowledged some PC bugs and Switch bugs but not this.

    DE if you're reading this, kindly send at least an acknowledgement or how you're going bro tackle this issue. Thanks.

  16. I've asked similar questions in few other past threads, including the last devstream thread. Seems like DE will only make the announcement when they are ready to do so.

    These were some of my specific questions for PS5 (and will probably apply to XSX too):

     

  17. Same for PS4.  For years, I've also had R1 bound to melee - from the year 1 controller layout where the PS4 touchpad was used for the abilities.  I couldn't fish at all since selecting a fishing spear from the main gear menu will then prompt me to hit R1 ("Hold R1 for actions"), and nothing happens when I do.

    Apart from fishing, this has also caused numerous problems on Railjack.  When walking around the Railjack, pressing R1 will do melee instead of bringing up the tactical menu (which allows you to teleport to other positions in ship use use abilities like Void Cloak).  Furthermore, when in the pilot's seat, pressing R1 will lock the screen to the RJ abilities. You can launch Void Hole, Particle Ram, etc, BUT to get out, you need to hit the tactical menu button (left d-pad for PS4), THEN circle to exit.

    So after 5+ years of my old controller payout, I had enough of the nonsense and poorly testing bugs above and switched back to the default controls.  So finally, finally now, I can fish and use railjack controls properly.  But this shouldn't have been forced on me.

    I sounded this off in the PS4 update thread as well (linked below) but no one bothered it seems.  DE and console teams at DE, if you're reading this, please please take a look. 😞

  18. Confirmed it happened to me on PS4 last night too.

    It looked like I was in bleedout state.  I could shoot while in that 'bleedout' but after waiting for a long time, no prompt came up to self revive and no button presses of any kind worked except to bring up the menu.  I had to abort the mission but luckily my failed attempt showed on my parazon/lich screen so it was not wasted in that sense.

  19. I found that during casting an ability, the casting animation will prevent you from getting grabbed.  Eg. while casting Nova's molecular prime and the scorpion grineer or infested ancient hooks you, you're not affected.

    This requires timing and more often I get it more from luck than being able to predict it.

  20. The problem is not so much that 27.0.5 was released to consoles before DE went on break that was full of bugs, it's that they knowingly released it to consoles with no hope of fixes until way way after the holidays.

    At least PC got 27.0.9 before DE went on break which addressed a few issues (resource buff, avionics trading, etc).

    DE should've known console ports + cert will take several weeks, so even if they came back from vacation, it'll take at least that long to get the fixes out to console.  Ideally, DE should've released Empyrean after they came back and then followed up a few weeks later with 27.0.11 fixes.  We would've have a smoother experience.

    Then again, console players would've complained over the holidays that they had no content. 😕

  21. I sincerely hope this will be fixed for PS4 soon.

    My r1 is melee and I'm using the "original" controller config where swipe pad is used for abilities.  There is no way to remap the tactical menu button from r1 from the options controller tactical tab.

    When I'm in the pilot's seat, thankfully I can still hit r1 and use the Void Hole, Particle Ram, etc.  However, when I'm walking about in the ship, I hit r1 and I melee instead, with no way to bring up the tactical menu so I can teleport to various locations. So so bad...
