Its an exploit and got into a fight about it over in funders chat about them saying it's a feature, when I was venting about people doing it in pug groups. That power was never meant to unlock all doors like that to skip content. I really don't get why they don't just do it solo, then you have the group trying to find where the person kill Wolf.

I don't get how people usings a bug for an advantage in the game that isn't normal not exploiting, but the people doing it get all lawyer on you that it's a game feature because DE didn't programme the doors right. The best part is the same people told me it be patched on monday, you know what gets patch bugs /facepalm.

It's probably because of how petty the drop tables are, that people are totally fine with using something as intended - tying the doors to the normal alert scheme was derpy.

Almost as derpy as having the mask not vacuum or glow.
About as derpy as having made him have something like 40k armour and 3.5m life prior to this tactical nerf.

Not nearly as derpy as the generic fugitives all having tactical nukotovs that they all throw the instant you get spotted, turning entire rooms into instant-death zones.

At this point, I'll do it whichever way whoever I join is doing it, just for the variety.

I'd even go so far as to say I wouldn't mind seeing a 30-day+ ban on anybody who abused it. Really ruins the fun in PUGs. But, I'm a hardass. Just my opinion.

    DE wouldn't be /that/ petty

  2. While it's understandable that the stompers would do what they can to protect their exposed weakpoints, it really doesn't help that their AI is bugged.
If you go into stealth, so that it doesn't know where you are, it will still turn to face you, even while not attacking it.
Putting it to 'sleep', it will also still keep turning to face you (even though the sleep already has a vastly reduced duration to account for effectiveness), which just doesn't make sense.

It kind of made sense that the orb mothers could react so well to stealth, being the advanced entities that they are, but these are just grineer armoured mining bots at best.
Their having utterly inexplicable bugs can't even be covered by lore at that point.

  3. After having gone through a number of sabotages where it's impossible to get the third cache, I'm just wondering if anybody has found a way to force it to spawn?

Because when you can fail to get it to spawn after going through every single room, normal and secret, opening, breaking and hacking into everything, for it to not spawn?
Which you can confirm due to having loot radar so expansive that you see things 5 rooms away?

    Yeah, that's not fun.

  4. The main issue that's being missed too much is that it's not even about a significant buff or adding QoL, it's that she was nerfed for no reason after 2 years, with a reason provided that doesn't actually make sense.
There was no grand scheme of balancing or anything involved, just an insult.
The fact that it's not even being called a nerf, but a 'bugfix', just adds an extra layer of insult to it.

Being handed a direct nerf to QoL (with no impact on any aspect of the game other than QoL), on a niche-use frame is an awful thing to happen, and shouldn't be treated anywhere near as casually as it was by official sources, let alone other players.

If it's part of their plan for Ivara Prime, then maybe - if they release that next.
    Which is highly unlikely.

  5. An actually decent idea would be DE just adding it in as a part of the infiltrator augment.
No other changes to the mod, no increase to the drain, just make it so that you /have/ to have the augment taking up a spot to be able to use the feature.

That would at least be acceptable for everything that's been said and done over the years and now.

  6. As far as "lol that's not what it was intended for, just because it perfectly fits their story, image and playstyle, smh just get over it it's a bug", from /ANYBODY/, consider the following:

Trinity's blessing was designed to heal all warframes within its range.
People are currently using it to heal eidolon lures out on the plains, among other things.
Clearly that's a bug that needs to be removed.

Volt's shield is meant to add /some/ damage to your shots, while being small enough that it doesn't make you utterly impervious to all enemy shots.
People are not only stacking them on each other to add obscene amounts of damage, they're casting them all around themselves and their group, even with range totally minimised, and being totally immune to all shots.
    That is therefore a bug.

What's that, everybody uses them like that, because those are their features? No, they're clearly bugs.

In the same way that 'parkour is meant to break stealth' on Ivara's prowl, yet there she goes jumping and double jumping and rolling.
She can't slide without breaking stealth... but she can slide on her line without breaking stealth. Why?
Is it because without those things, she'd be so incredibly inconvenienced compared to other frames?
If parkour broke her stealth, you wouldn't be able to jump on or off her line without breaking stealth.

If parkour breaks her stealth, nobody would play her, because she'd only be able to walk places. Even crouching and moving without breaking stealth would be questionable.
Instead, she's allowed those things because A. it makes it possible to have fun while playing her and B. it suits her.

A stationary horizontal jump is useless, it'd be faster just to walk, jump and roll in that direction. A stationary vertical jump however is just incredibly practical.
It means that, in some rooms, you can stop, look pretty much directly up, and get somewhere, instead of needing to use 2, 3, 4 or 5 zipwire arrows just because of how narrow the room is, or how sheer the angle is to get up to where you want to go.

Even if you're built for maximum energy and efficiency, you still chew through energy when you have to use lots of arrows.
It also limits the way you use your weapons - If you want to stay in stealth, you lose a weapon slot. On most guns, that means forfeiting a considerable amount of firepower.

What remains as a possibility for removing it, after all this time, and all the times they FIXED this feature after breaking it, is that DE are getting complaints from non-Ivara players/those without Ivara that it makes her 'too good' at spy vaults, and that they're finally listening to them.
    Spy vaults.
    Her main purpose.
The purpose she was made for.
The thing you have to do to get her, that she is the best at.
That she was given an augment for, because its her thing.

Meanwhile, people are looking at the amalgam mods and finding that, hang on, they can enable her to move OBSCENELY fast in prowl.
You know, the thing she's not supposed to do. She's not even the only frame that can set up those absurdities.
    Has that been fixed?

Who knows. Maybe DE are just tired of fixing Ivara's prowl whenever they break it and finally just decided to leave it as an 'intentional' nerf.
Admitting as much would be irritating, but understandable.
Nobody wants to continuously have to fix something that just keeps breaking for no apparent reason.

Rather than trying to lay it off as "parkour should break stealth" when that clearly doesn't happen with most of what she does and what she's supposed to do, almost as if it were just to insult everybody.

It's possible they never really knew about it so whenever they 'fixed' or unfixed it, it was totally accidental.

Also, I've never gotten myself into a situation where I 'accidentally' bullet jump... When have you ever?

Lastly, if you do break prowl, just pop it back on again. It doesn't matter too much. Of play the missions correctly and undo your prowl when you need to. You just need to know when to activate it and when not to.

Ivara is a stealth frame, it's what she does.
It's all she's meant to do.
She has augments that add to that a bit, but are only worth using in niche cases, on a niche frame.

Breaking her prowl makes so many vaults harder for her, when she's the dedicated frame for doing vaults. That makes absolutely no sense.

Say what you want, I think DE just got tired of it breaking and needing fixed every now and then so they finally decided to just outright remove it. Whether that's the case or not this is not okay, let the frog lady jump. Also it'd be nice if the new and ugly white "base" on her skirt tendril things was removed, the things are supposed to be ghostly and ethereal instead of ragged strips of brightly colored cloth right?

That's the only thing it could be.
Numerous times, they've broken it with a hotfix or update, and they've restored it, because it's a FEATURE.

You don't 'fix' FEATURES by removing them, that's a SOLID NERF

It was never intentional. I remember the original release. It was only meant to work on walking. When it was first released I actually found it quite weird that she was allowed to do that since the devstream at the time had clearly mentioned she was not.

I've always played her as she was meant to. Never really bullet jumping so it's kinda funny that the bug got fixed finally.

The key is that it was only /really/ working properly when you weren't moving at all, and going mostly vertical, which makes sense for a lot of the rooms.

The issue arises from two things: A. various things you do can cause, at random, a bullet jump - getting off wires, jumping /after/ crouching has ended, jumping after rolling or walking off some ledges etc.
B: the description given by bear is that /parkour/ /should/ break it. That means just everything should break it, not just the one thing that /actually made sense and has been constantly re-added to Ivara over NUMEROUS breaks of it with hotfixes and such.
IF it had been a bug, they would've removed it years ago, told everybody they were removing it, and not brought it back each time they accidentally broke it.

It's a feature, and should remain a feature.

  10. Hell, if there was some actual reason that doesn't break logic like "parkour should break stealth" does, when it defies how so much of the movement mechanics work in this game that /don't/ break the stealth -
some sort of actual, considered reason, like balance (with proper points behind it), then it wouldn't be such an infuriating, incensing insult.

  11. one of the major issues for it, is that in some areas you just have to do the stationary vertical bullet jump to get up there - you COULD use your zipwire arrow, but there's always the chance it will decide to bullet jump you off of that, so bullet jump breaking stealth /automatically destroys a significant amount of your kit's viability/.

Besides which, there were numerous times when a patch, hotfix, update etc would break this aspect of prowl, and then they'd fix it, because of course they'd fix it, it's a bug, it's not meant to happen.

To try to say it's intentional now is just ridiculous.

  12. I suppose the real question now is which other frames will lose core aspects of their kit due to obvious mistakes in coding, only to have it denied as being intentional, when there's no possible reason for it to be intentional other than sheer callousness and loathing of the community and the players that use that frame, let alone like it.

Well, I suppose there is the possiblity that non-ivara players were getting upset that ivara, the frame designed for all things stealth, is the best stealth frame. That could make sense.
It's certainly not uncommon for ivara players to do spy vaults quickly and flawlessly rather than leave it to players that try to yolo them and ruin things for everybody, and people still manage to get salty about that.

This is an intentional change, it was missing from the patch notes, however.

The patch notes have been updated to reflect the change, but the initial intent is that Parkour should break invisibility granted by Prowl.

    Sorry folks 😞

    -Bear

    Parkour 'should' break prowl.
That's it folks, if you can't /walk/ to your destination, you don't get to stealth as ivara. Only walking.

Just remove the person that made the decision and fix the bug.
Ivara doing a completely stationary VERTICAL bullet jump is just there for scaling walls, in a way that is PRECISELY in her design description.
    It's not a bug it's a FEATURE.

  14. In mission, counted how many auron I got (among other things, because it's the rarest damn resource out there), and according to mission status it was /just/ enough, added to what I already had, to get my 100 for the new nikana.

Then, I actually get back to my ship, and finish making my hundred, at which point I notice I still have quite a bit left.
Also noticing that mining amount seems to be up on orb valley, so I'm guessing my double drops is working on the mining, and just not showing anywhere on the plains.

  15. DE broke stealth on Ivara again, so even non-movement bullet jumping straight up (which hasn't broken stealth in ages, because it's not supposed to), is now breaking stealth again.
Not sure if it was the hotfix or the major update that broke it, but they broke it again.

    Again.
For at least the 13th time.

  16. I went with a quadrapod cannon mech, which I thought was wonderful.
    ...and then I saw that damn dragon, if only I had more room capacity ;___;

All cannon mechs should have secondary weapons, yep.
    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=646771773

And the ability to hover if they have to move around.
    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=646771792

Though even with the ability to hover around to move, the legs still need to be capable, and with a heavy mounted weapon, that means you need counter-weighting and pistons!
    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=646774491

Most importantly though for an oversize mounted weapon, you need the ability to anchor for safety and accuracy!

nope, the imgur links don't work either, welp

  17. There are three possible fixes to the issue of people dropping mission if the right mod doesn't pop up.

    1. DE can buff the rates of the mods dramatically for all of the acolytes, leaving the common mods on each as they are and massively buffing the rare and uncommon drop rates, or having a super drop rate on the final acolyte for the rares etc.

    2. Making it so that the acolytes stay on each node FAR longer than currently, and have appropriately more life, and rolling multiple times on the drop table according to the mission type, with 2 times being the minimum and 4-5 times the maximum.

    3. Leaving the system as is, with players starting to doubt that the rare mods even exist, questioning their own existence and desperately burning themselves out trying to get something other than Hydraulic Crosshairs, with the negative being that players that aren't interested in getting the rare and uncommon mods never getting them, which isn't an issue anyway.
This method would boost platinum trading rates, which considering the drop rates so far, I'm a little suspicious is more the goal of this event.

  18. The Tenno are pitched as being just in the game, yet commit as a group a wide array of morally ambiguous acts.

Something that certainly isn't ambiguous is that Cute is Justice, so I went with a goth-loli hat. Or at least, tried to.

This is my attempt at drawing...
