  1. This is false in every way. Every game needs veteran players who know it in and out. They are the ones who can form usable opinion on the game. DE does not want them to feel unrewarded. They just didn't come up with a good system for rewarding them. Yes, mastery right now is basically an e-peen, but it doesn't mean it won't be anything in the future.

DE does not need veterans and DE sure has hell does not give a damn about usable opinions on their game. The point of F2P is to frustrate people into paying or trick ignorant new players into paying and the latter is much easier for them thus all their attention goes into "rewarding" new players.

Sure every normal game needs veterans but F2P games absolutely do not.

DE might have cared back then when they first launched but now that they have become a decently successful company they are no different than EA or Riot.

All they want is money and even if the veteran players leave they don't care because the veteran players already served their purpose of wasting time and/or money on Warframe. Their main goal is to focus on bringing in new players who are potential money bags to exploit.

Veteran players are of no monetary value to DE and that's the simple truth.

EDIT: DE laughs so hard when they see people like you defending their twisted greedy morals. It proves to them that they have reached the point where player input does not matter anymore since a few ignorant misguided individuals will decide to protect their flawed game for them

  2. DE is never going to change MR. They WANT veteran players to feel unrewarded so they leave and make way for the new players who are ready to ignorantly churn out cash to DE.

MR will stay the same no matter how much feedback you give on it.

Rewarding veteran players goes against every single design moral and aspect of DE and F2P in general.

  3. But this would cut into DE's profits. Remember, they can make money by selling fusion core packs. In fact they DO make money selling fusion core packs. Making lots of common fusion cores isn't an issue since those core packs don't contain commons to my knowledge. They do contain lots of rares and uncommons though, so they should be harder to craft. Remember, the whole model of F2P is either 'grind for later rewards or pay for them now'.

This is the truth. DE will NEVER reward veteran players at all and they will NEVER have any intention of doing so. In fact it's the exact opposite. DE WANTS to PUNISH veterans for spending time and rewards noobs for spending money. People just have to accept that this is what Warframe is.

  4. Even with the affinity booster it is HILARIOUSLY SLOW. After a 4 round URANUS interception My level 22 Itzal went to....level 22.

It's just too slow to be a design error. DE did it on purpose to force us to grind more like with everything else in the game.

A little grind is good but this game is just getting ludicrously impossible due to the rank 10 mods, prime mods, little exp gain, etc.

Atleast back then in U12-13 the grind yielded something worth it; you were somewhat rewarded for your efforts.

However, now there is absolutely no reward at all if any.

0.5% increase per rank on rank 10 mods that cost over 300+ R5 cores and over 2 mil creds to max? Legit?

    F*** YOU DE.

  5. Yes this is a good idea but will DE actually fix it?

Of course they won't because then there would be a potential way to reduce the grind for rare mods even if it is just by a little.

DE does not care about the current state of the game because at this rate they have picked up enough momentum to always be making money regardless of how bad their game is.

  6. As much as I agree with this idea, it just isn't going to happen. It makes you spend less time farming thus less time playing and that's a very bad idea for F2P companies. Yes I want it just as much as you but let's face it: this is a F2P game and F2P games are designed to make you grind in the most painful way possible in order to tempt you to buy stuff.

If it reduces grind than I can assure you DE will be like "aw hell naw we need more moneyz *@##$! Who ever said we gave a damn about player satsfaction!"

    It won't happen.

TL;DR: good idea but it's not happening

  7. It used to be fun until I realized that DE is no different than EA or Riot or any other money grubbing company out there. Warframe is designed to be flawed so you're always left wanting. There are feedback sections to make you feel like you actually matter to DE when in reality DE does not give a single flying F*** about their playerbase.

But I've already wasted my money on this game so might as well enjoy what the Pay2Win aspects offer. Buyer's Remorse is the only reason i'm still here lol.

Also DE will never ever ever ever even think of considering anything in that video. They grew to the point where they got all the money they want so nothing else matters to them. Veteran players are not meant to nor will they ever be rewarded in any way, shape, or form. This game will not get better regardless of how much feedback you give.

  8. Of course it's not worth the investment. IF it was then you would feel satisfied about your grinding to get it,but here's the catch. YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO FEEL SATISFIED IN A F2P GAME.

If  you felt satisfied with your weapons than you wouldn't play this game to get more, but the point of Warframe is to constantly make you grind and even if you finish grinding, they're is always something better or the game mechanics limit your achievement in some way thus you never feel satisfied.

Dissatisfaction and frustration are how F2P games force you to pay and make money.

Don't ever expect anything in this game to be "worth it."

  9. Essentially, this game's biggest problem is that it's free to play.

Except the sad part is that it's not a problem for DE.  F2P is never a problem for companies

F2P is only a problem for the players because it severely limits their gaming experience. Now the normal solution would be to just quit the F2P game and get a real game right?

    wrong.

F2P and DLC shenanigans are dominating the gaming industry so much so that gaming can now be considered dead. Every single game out there is practically released incomplete and has piles of overpriced DLC waiting to be bought.

Nothing on these forums and no amount of player feedback is going to change Warframe. The only way this game is going to change is if everyone boycotts it and just quits.

F2P games need to be given the silent treatment and just be left to rot until they change their ways.

DE is a money grubbing parasite just like Riot, EA, and Ubisoft and must be treated as such.

  10. Why Would DE ever "fix" this problem?

It goes against every one of their design morals since it's this is a F2P game.

If this game could be beat with skill than there would be no reason at all for players to purchase prime access and platinum which is how DE makes money.

If anything, DE will make artificial difficulty more of an issue because artificial difficulty can be solved by getting stronger weapons which can be obtained through money.

Now don't get me wrong because I completely agree with you but people have to understand that DE does not give a single F*** about their playerbase and will in fact make the game worse in order to ensure their own greedy desires for a profit.

    As stated by LABAL

They don't listen. They don't care. They don't care. They don't care. They don't care. They don't care. They don't care.  They ignore us. They don't care about you. All they care about is their money. Your money. They don't care about old players because old players rarely buy anything. They don't care if old players leave. I'm sick and tired. Sick and tired. Sick and tired. Sick and tired. Sick adn tired. I can't hold my breath any longer. The stench of that rotting carcass is transpiring over that shiny new coating.

This is the truth about this game. People need to accept this, quit Warframe, and warn everyone about how terrible DE is.

  11. This game isn't going to get better.

DE has grown and milked alot of money from players and that's all that matters to them.

The only thing they will do now is add more prime mods, low drop rate prime parts, super rare mods, etc.

Making a good enjoyable game is NOT among DE's interests.

In fact the exact opposite will happen: DE will do their absolute best to make more grindwalls/paywalls and milk more money and make sure veteran players are never rewarded.

This game is dead for the veterans and nothing will change that.

  12. In the end, game developers love F2P models, because they know stupidity comes in drones...

F2P is like having two restaurants. One has a sign for a burger at $3. You go in there you buy your burger, enjoy it, great.

The other restaurant has a sign that says "Free 2 Eat Burgers!" Everyone runs there and orders their F2E Burger. When they get it, see they only got a quarter slice of the burger they ordered. No ketchup. No mustard. No pickles. Nothing. When they ask "where is the rest of their burger???" The waitress shows them a plate with the rest of their burger divided into 4 smaller slices, and says "You can have the rest of your burger for $5 a slice." So in the end they have choices. Either settle for that quarter slice of the burger... or pony up $20 for the entire burger, while the other person who went to the other restaurant got his burger with everything for $3. And that's not even counting if you want ketchup, pickles, etc... (ie: ...color palettes).

The reality is people are too stupid to realize that "Free 2 Play" actually translates to "Pay More for this Game than if you bought the game outright." Sad thing is Warframe with its perpetual Beta shenanigans it manages to get people to pay hundreds of dollars for a game via their F2P model, that is barely even finished yet. And like many Early Access/Beta games, they never actually finish. Why? Because it's safer and easier to hide behind the "It's a Beta" excuse which gives game developers free reign to do whatever they want without any accountability for their actions. F2P and Beta Access is like Chinese food and Tex-Mex back to back. Might seem like a great idea in the beginning, but you are going to regret it the end.

I praise this post without end.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on this game.

There are only two options now for the veteran player:

    A. Try and get DE to change their ways. (we all know this isn't going to happen)

    B. Just quit the game and warn as many people as possible about the dangers of F2P and how terrible Warframe really is.

  13. "A way to reduce grind? DENIED." - Digital Extremes

    This.

Don't ever expect grind to be reduced in an F2P game.

Don't ever ever expect DE to make things convenient or easy no matter how reasonable it may be.

If it reduces the time you spend on the game then it WILL NOT BE IMPLEMENTED

If it wastes your time and frustrates you into buying platinum then it will 100% be implemented in the game almost immediately.

    250 r5 cores?

    more like 500+

It takes exactly 254 cores and around 1.5 mil creds to get from rank 1 to 9 on primed mods.

It takes that exact same amount to get from rank 9 to 10.....I just don't see any logic behind that choice DE.

Even for a money grubbing F2P parasitic company that seems like too much of a stretch.

  14.  It would certainly fit into the "nice-to-have" category

    Lol

DE does not give a single S#&$ about any nice conveniences of any sort. F2P games are supposed to have frustrating design mechanics designed to put you at every disadvantage possible and waste as much of your time as possible.

IF you ever think "oh that would be really convenient and save alot of time!" then it's not happening.

Things like that go against every attribute of F2P gaming.

  15. I think that the current idea for prime weapons is massively flawed. Kill thousands of void baddies all day every day for what? A bow string that's magically stronger than the one you already have or random barrel that falls out of the sky.

All weapons should be able to be primed.

An idea I have is that you gather Orokin Ciphers and throw them with your weapon into the foundry for a static stat increase.

Ex. Kohm Prime requires 1 Orokin Cipher as well as 50% of its original resource cost to build it.

No blueprint will be required since the foundry will have a built in "Priming Chamber"

Spend the resources and the Cipher and wait for the item to finish in X hours.

Boom! Kohm Prime will receive a 30% increase to all stats as well as Orokin Gold textures

Similar to how the Corrupted have been "Orokin-fied" the weapon will also be corrupted into a prime version.

This is especially great for the all time favorites like the Hek and Opticor that simply can't keep up with the top tier weapons like Boltor Prime.

  16. I agree completely with the OP. Just quit the game and spend time on something worth it.

I love Warframe but the F2P model in general has pretty much destroyed the gaming industry. What was once a friendly industry filled with young aspiring artists and programmers aiming for the best has now become a toxic cesspool of greedy money-grubbing parasites brainstorming every possible way to frustrate you into purchasing their goods. Gaming has  never been the same after F2P came out. Nothing is ever done in the interest of the player now.

If Warframe was tweaked to be a single purchase $60 game I strongly believe it would have effortlessly won game of the year and scored multiple 10/10s.

But as it stands now, De is just another crappy F2P giant milking money from the gamers just like Riot.

You're probably wondering why I play Warframe if I hate the F2P model. Well for the same reasons that the OP metioned: fun early experience, already spent money, Space Ninjas, satisfaction of getting over walls. However, the wall eventually became so big that I just gave in and bought the Nova Prime Access. It was satisfying...for about 2-3 days tops.

It is absolutely unreal how any amount of Platinum makes this game so easy.

Just think about it. You don't have to waste 24 hours for building forma, don't have to waste time leveling weapons, don't have to waste time waiting for potato alerts, you can buy maxed out mods on the market, level faster, pay Syndicate offerings.etc. When was the last time DE released a Potato alert? That's right. Almost never.

If only I had known...then I would have never touched this game.

By the time I realized it, it was too late. THIS IS THE TRICK. THIS IS THE ENTIRE POINT OF THIS GAME. THIS IS DE'S GOAL AS A COMPANY.

THEY WANT LURE YOU WITH "AWESOME" SPACE NINJA CONTENT AND TEMPT YOU TO MAKE  MICRO-TRANSACTIONS to break the wall and finally be able to tackle the so called "endgame content" otherwise known as repetitive T4 missions.

After you buy and forma the best weapons and mods in the game and load up on cosmetics with platinum you don't win. YOU LOSE.

DE beat you. You lost to DE. You lost to their money snatching tactics. You're just another money bag who got milked. They got you to waste your time first and then your money. There is no endgame. There is only the Trap.

The only reason I still play is well why not? If I quit now then my $140 go to waste plus I still got 83 days left on my boosters. Buyer's Remorse kicks in. I got all the best stuff in the game so might as well enjoy my purchase regardless of how unjust it was. The deed has been done.

No F2P game out there wants to entertain you. F2P games are ONLY after money and nothing else.

That's not the end either. This game is in OPEN BETA. ANY AND ALL LAZY MISTAKES OR POOR DESIGN DECISIONS CAN BE FORGIVEN WITH THE EXCUSE THAT THIS IS "OPEN BETA." THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO WHATEVER THE HELL THEY WANT UNDER THE SAFETY OF "OPEN BETA."

"Are you disappointed with the current state of the game? Don't worry! It's open beta so hopefully it should get better when the game is out.....if it ever comes out...."

People just have to admit it. Money is all that matters to any F2P company and threads like these will not make the game better in any way at all nor does DE even have any intent to improve this dysfunctional pile of S#&$ called Warframe for the satisfaction of their playerbase.

I refuse to even call it a game anymore as it is much more deserving of the title "Wall Simulator."

Do you really wanna know what DE thinks about these kind of threads? DO you really believe that they listen to player feedback? The only thing they do is laugh and laugh and laugh while pretending to be nice because these kind of threads mean their tricks are working. These threads prove that their grind-wall is big enough to get players to pay. If walls are such a problem then why is DE still making money? Why are people still playing this game? Why has DE not changed their ways if they are clearly wrong? DE has already made their fortune and now nothing matters. Just insert a random operation or a new poorly designed warframe all locked behind massive grind-walls to keep players interested and boom! Profit! The company is already set in motion with great momentum and as a result the veteran player no longer matters. Just trick new players to give in and spend money and that's it. This game WILL NOT GET BETTER now that they've got what they want: money.

    WARFRAME IS BROKEN

    F2P IS BROKEN

IF YOU ARE A NEW PLAYER QUIT NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

  17. That's a bit odd. Had you tried verifying your game cache just in case?

Yes I've verified and optimized multiple times. It's pretty strange considering that Dx11 is supposed to be better than Dx9.

  18. Finally figured it out. It's a bug with Directx11.

Directx11 apparently doesn't work well with Warframe's textures.

For now keeping Directx11 turned off fixes it.

Edit: Directx11 seems to have lower quality but can maintain a stable 60fps where as Directx9 is the opposite, no stability but higher quality.

  19. I don't really see the problem. The game looks like how it does at 1920x1080.

The only blurriness I see is the JPEG artifacting from image compression.

Also the text is going to be harder to read the further you are from it. The only way to get it to be clearer/sharper is to get a higher resolution monitor and have the game run even higher than 1920x1080 or to use downsampling for anti-aliasing.

It was never like this before the latest hotfix; everything was smooth and crisp and now it's just a bunch of low res textures

I have a 17.3 inch 60HZ moniter and anti aliasing at 32xCSAA and filtering at 16x

The problem is definitely not on my end.

  20. K got it (it needed to be on border-less fullscreen cuz windows 8.1 shenanigans)

Notice how everything is on high yet the text in region chat are just blocks of poorly defined pixels

    mission display is blurry
