I don't think we should use weapons, that just doesn't seem fitting. Tenno should be all about harnessing raw void energy and using that to its full potential - not just being weaker + less mobile versions of the warframes running around with swords and guns.
We should get more varied + stronger abilities and more energy, and practical upgrades like health and higher agility.

I mean, while everyone is ragging on OP for taking the "Ninja's play free" slogan too seriously... I'm gonna have to agree with him in that it should be changed. Not for his reasons, but just because IMHO it sounds cheesy, tacky and unappealing.

Umbra Excalibur doesn't need any lore. Literally nobody had that idea besides you guys, and no offense, but I sure as hell don't want it. Just release the thing as a skin ffs :(

That's because several months ago it didn't exist...
Umbra is a Dumb cashgrab, it's just another shiny excal.
You could say that about any cosmetic in the game. In the end, who cares? We want it because it looks cool, what's so bad about that?

China will never have 'Cal Prime, it's only fair if we don't get the Umbra. It would make sense if both versions have primes and umbras, but each version has a unique Excalibur.
DE made both Umbra and Excal Prime. DE is the publisher over here, and Changyou is the publisher in China. I think it's fair that DE releases whatever they want over here, since they made it all. Changyou is allowed to do whatever they want with what DE sends them, but they don't get to control what DE does with what they create over here. So if DE doesn't allow Changyou to release Prime over in China, that's fine. Changyou didn't make Excal Prime. But DE made Excal Umbra, so it is completely fair if they release Umbra over here.

People need to let Excal Umbra go. It's not coming for a while, and personally, I really don't think it'll come at all (there's always the possibility that DE never figures out how to implement it). So just forget about it.
Why DE doesn't just implement him as a skin is beyond me. I literally could not possibly care less about him getting some "meaningful lore" or "interesting mechanics". We don't even need another Excalibur to further cramp things. He just looks really awesome, so this whole "we need to figure out how to implement him" thing is really annoying.
If he were sold as a skin tomorrow, I'd buy him. If they're just going to keep holding him on the tip of release, that'll be an even longer wait of me investing time into my current Excal, just for me to have to do it all over again with Umbra.

Focus passives should either apply during the entire mission and be on the less significant side, or apply for the rest of the mission after you cast and be very significant. No being weak and only applying temporarily after casting.

I really hope they don't change Umbra's abilities. That'd be a bad decision imo. I absolutely love regular Excal's abilities, and I just want Umbra for the way he looks since I can't get the prime version. If I wanted diff. abilities I'd use a different frame.
