You don't like math? (I don't either). Linear scaling: Noctua Archon Vitality Heat proc DPS at any and all damage points equals 2x Noctua heat proc dps at the same damage point (multiplier stays constant, multiplier growth is 0)

Exponential scaling: Noctua Archon Vitality Heat proc dps at all damage points doesn't necessarily equal 2x Noctua heat proc dps at the same damage point, the rate in fact increases at an increasing rate (e.g 2x to 3x to 5x to 10x to 25x, the rate of multiplier growth accelerates).

    Nope I hate maths

But thank you, so still worth giving Noctua Archon Vitality a try, since the original build was this:  While I do have Streamline and Boreal Hatred, I simply love having powers cost next to nothing in terms of energy (though BH might be a bit overkill)

So my alt build will be replacing Steel Charge and Umbra Vitality with Growing Power and Archon Vitality, I could replace BH since I have Equili since 130% Eff should be plenty so I could even replace BH for something more useful.

Oh, I am also replacing the Arcane Energize with Augmented Molt (Since I just got that recently). I am keeping in Velo, cuz the book kinda needs Firerate. Also below is my Book build and Helios Prime build (The Bond boosts my Firerate to 60% as well), so 120% and Arcane boosting it to 240% (I think?)

Keep Viral, it does make your procs less consistent but the damage increase is worth...and it also applies to Dark Verse if you sprinkle that in.

    Will do o7

The mod doubles the output of ONLY heat procs. This increases the rate of heat proc damage ramp up linearly not exponentially (by 2). Will it increase Noctua damage output? Yes*. Status resistant enemies (Acolytes, Void Angels, Necramechs) are an important case to consider imo, the heat proc damage they take is based on the 4 most recent heat applied which means it is easily possible to overwrite strong heat procs with weaker ones from multishot or Word Warden.

Archon Continuity is another alternative approach but I strongly advise against using Emerald shards, invest in crit, if you want armor strip slot in Jahu canticle instead. I find it to be better for Word Warden utility too and has a better faction matchup spread but it definitely has a lower raw damage ceiling than heat.

    Embrace the book.

Thank you so much for the information

Do you mind explaining what you mean by linearly not exponentially (I'm stupid xD).

Since I use Viral & Heat, I don't think I have any plans to use Archon Continuity but I wanted to know if I used Vitality it'll boost the DPS and well, there you go.

(I assume that I could drop Viral and just go for pure heat, but Heat does go well with Viral or Corrosive, so why I go for such, since Viral is very strong as well, since it amplifies damage)

Smh.  You put an umbra forma on a non primed frame?  That was the 1st mistake sheesh!

While I agree with you that putting an Umbra Froma on a non-primed Warframe is a terrible idea! (See below)

However, I will only put an Umbra Froma onto a new frame if I enjoy the Frame and its kit and since most of the time it's a brand new Warframe, I know for a fact that the primed version won't be out for a good few years and by time Dante Prime comes out, I'd have gotten plenty of Umbra Froma back for the one I used.

Otherwise no, I'd never put an Umbra Froma on any frame, unless it's a Prime and I enjoy that frame.

  3. So small question

I've seen a handful of Dante builds that seem to use Archon Vitality, while they are modding their Noctua with Heat damage (Or Heat/Viral), I've seen that according to some it doubles the damage and makes heat procs scale exponentially.

However, I do not know how true this is, so I'd like some help on whether this will actually improve the overall DPS on Noctua or not before I decide to invest in Archon Vitality and it replace my Umbra Vitality.

    Thanks o7

I was messing around with Noctua last night on a high-ish power strength build and at least according to the Arsenal UI it looks like Dante's Power Strength isn't additive with Hornet Strike.  I don't recall the exact numbers but my full build was giving me 9000-ish damage and removing Hornet Strike lowered it to 2000-ish?  So that doesn't seem additive to me.  Maybe that means that whether Power Strength is multiplicative or additive varies depending on the specific Exalted?

It's multiplicative I do believe and remember the UI isn't always correct, it can be sometimes a simple UI bug. I have quite a high power strength build same as you and I have a bunch of mods to make Noctua very strong (Heat & Viral) I did a side-by-side with the Grimore with a similar build and I am pretty sure that PS is playing a huge factor here to

Archon vitality: Because we're dealing primarily heat damage with noctua, it doubles the damage this amazing weapon deals and makes heat procs scale exponentially.

I have a question about this

In my build a bit above, I mentioned that I use 3 Umbra Mods & Power Drift for the Power Strength since I refuse to use Corrupted mods, however, if I ditch Umbra Vitality for the Archon Version, I will give up some Power Strength but does Archon Vitality improve the overall DPS of Noctua at all or is it just applying another status effect?

Also since I don't -just- use Heat on its own, will Archon Vitality still be in effect?

To the person saying "good luck" you are thinking lawsuits and civil law, fraud is criminal law.

    Uh-huh

Well, go ahead and file it since you know so much about how the law works and then let's see how it turns out for you, but keep in mind you are one person alone who is trying to do a "File" on a gaming company and get the FBI involved,  Also IIRC you still have to go to Court about the matter and as I said, good luck getting a lawyer to go against DE.

  7. They need to be improved quite a bit since the build I have is Sheer DPS and I can take it to Steel Path and above but I don't have any Invocation or Canticle, but the main problem about the Tomb mods is that they are Exlius and Exalted Weapons can not benefit from such and this needs to change big time.

While sure the Grimoire is strong if built correctly, Noctua destroys it ten-fold, so overall it's not JUST the Tomb mods themselves but also the limiting factor that you cannot even use an Exlis slot on Noctua, if Noctua was a separate weapon on its own, rather then being an EW I can assure you that no one will use Grimoire.

So it's three problems in one:

    • One:  Noctua needs a dedicated Exilus Slot & needs access to Arcanes.
    • Two: The Grimore needs a SERIOUS buff.
    • Three: The Tomb Mods need some serious buffing

There is an alt build I'm working on that uses DPS Grimoire (Corrosive/Heat) /w Arcane Merciless for even MORE damage and I'll see how much DPS it outputs if it can output Noctua (it porb won't) I'll subsume Noctua from Dante and use Xata's Whisper on him. (I'll only be in B Config since I firmly believe that Noctua is still very strong over Grim)

Edit: I did the test, it does barely anything, so that was a waste of Helmith resources D:

But overall the Tomb mods don't do much for what they offer

  8. Hi Drifters

Yes, this is yet another "Caliban Rework Topic" but most of you prob have no idea who Caliban is either. This rework focuses entirely on Caliban's current kit and gives them a facelift to get up to standard for the current meta that we have in-game, so don't expect brand-new powers here. (Note: I did this in MS Paint, so you'll have to forgive how terrible it looks)

See the spoiler below for the changes

    Spoiler

    Caliban-Rework

Reasons & What I have changed:

Passive: His passive is mostly unchanged, however, I have given it a small tweak by removing the Adaptive Armor loss (Per tick) and allowing Adaptation to Stack with his passive

    • Why?: I see no reason to change his Passive as it's good on its own, however limiting his passive by giving it a loss-per-tick and not allowing it to stack with Adaptation just seems silly

Powers: Only 1 of his powers has been slightly changed, while the main change comes to his Lehtal Progeny, while the rest of the powers have just been moved around or buffed

Lethal Progeny: Is now his 1st power and is no longer limited by Duration, the Sentients will remain until Death or cast away, Lethal Progeny now also works similarly to Ivara's Cycle power that allows players to pick what Sentient buddy to have at a time, each sentient buddy has their own "power" that comes with them that supports Caliban, allowing for players to pick and choice for the correct playstyle.

    • Why?: Lethal Progeny is by far the weakest power in his kit, allowing more Sentients to pick from and allowing them to grant unique support gifts should make them ideal for use, the AI will also be improved as well

Sentient Warth: The only thing changed about this power is that it now grants you Overgaurd and now combines with his 3rd and 4th powers.

    • Why?: I like overgaurd, that's why

The rest of the powers have either been buffed or just swapped around, Cail also now deals Slash Damage as well.

    Share your thoughts below

    -Psi

    Edit: Small other notes

    • Cailban will now have unique floating directional movement and dodge roll,
    • All of Cailban's powers are no longer a full-body animation that stops Caliban's ground movement and other actions.

He is max rank and I got him rather early. I'm asking now since I don't want to softlock myself out of getting a helminth charger. If that's the case, then yeesh...

    Okay not to worry Tex

More than likely you have already infected him by another player, so all you have to do now is wait 24 hours for the small, pink, Infested cyst to start growing and if you plan on getting a Companion out of him, you'll have to wait 6 more days until the cyst fully grows.

You then may drain the mature cyst while incubating a Kubrow to breed a new type of Companion, the Helminth Charger, from the Orbiter's Incubator Segment; a new cyst will appear 24 hours after draining it.

However, do keep in mind that if you "Cure" Nidus (By sitting in the chair and clicking "Remove Cyst") this will permanently remove the Cyst from your frame entirely and that said frame will never get infected again

P.S.: Don't worry about you getting soft-blocked, any frame can get Infected by the Cyst, not just Nidus, so if you have a new frame (or old) you can use the Cyst from them to get a helminth charger!

  10. How long have you recently built Nidus, since if you have been levelling Nidus and using him in missions, good chance he is already infected. To start the whole process a Nidus had to sit in the chair and become infected, that's how it all started, but since many frames are infected (and not cured) they can spread the cyst and it spreads like wildfire.

    I’m a conclave player and

I stopped reading after this part

Conclave is dead Taco, it might not seem like it but barely anyone plays it and it's very unpopular, the only reason why I can see that DE hasn't removed it yet, is cuz it doesn't require all that much attention, it's porb even the lowest maintenance ever. (That and PvP players are... an interesting bunch)

Also your console is fine, no need to worry about getting a PC

My only option outside of DE at this point is to claim fraud via the internet which gets reported to the law enforcement instead of the company, which in my country would be the FBI.

lol good luck with that pal, I hope you got a good lawyer!

But seriously onto the topic at hand: You'll have to wait until Support can get back to you in the matter you have, support receives a lot of tickets daily and it takes time for them to go through them all if your ticket has barely any information or is just rant/raving, this ticket will likely get ignored, opening up multiple tickets will only delay the time they respond.

If you STILL haven't got any response, you are free to close the ticket and make a new one, make sure you add as much detail as possible, if that still doesn't work your best bet is to contact DE on the forums with your problem, since they can help you with a problem as well.

Overall you just have to wait, while I will agree with you that DE support is, lacking for a better term we're all human at the end of the day and sometimes we make mistakes, for now all you can do is try again and this time wait, don't spam or reopen tickets unless you have to.

Hope this helps and good luck with your support and your ticket.

  13. Hi

So with Dante being fully released and having a few eh "Tweaks" I wanted to share some bite-sized ideas for possible Augments for him, I've got a few basic ones that are related to his Mystic/Sorcery type of Theme but I also have a rather "big" Augmnent that twists the function of an Augment entirely. Do keep in mind that I'm no Dev, so what I suggest could be really dumb, underpowered or stupidly overpowered

    So let's begin:

    Noctua Augments:

    •  Spectral Tome: Allows Dante to summon a spectral copy of the Grimoire, if the Grimoire is equipped all mods applied will affect the spectral copy (Note: All mods that are equipped will be applied, including Tome mods) (In short acts like a super version of WordWarden)
    • Chronicler's Tome: Allows Dante to swap in-between the Noctua & Grimoire at will when Noctua is out, the Grimoire will copy all mods equipped (Note: While this Augment might sound useless as you can just swap weapons, Noctua still has a delay when you cast it, also this will make it so the Grimoire is effected by Power Strength when swapped)

Light Verse & Dark Verse Augments:

    • Metamorphosis: Allows Light Verse to Cause Slash Damage, While allowing Dark Verse to grant Health and Overgaurd (Note: This doesn't swap the powers around, just allows you to have both effects but a considerably lower amount, like a tiny amount of Slash Damage and HP/OG)
    • Shield Mage: Replaces Overgaurd with a Shield Regen (Note: Frames who can't have shields won't be affected, this Augment will also allow Shields to grant Rage/Hunter Mod effect, similar to OG, by Allies only)

    Now for the big one

Final Verse Augment: (Note: This Augment affects his Light & Dark Verse as well)

Invocation Versea: Allows Dante to compose two other abilities with those of other Warframes simultaneously, when Installed this mod removes the basic functionality of Light & Dark Verse and grants Dante to place other powers as the Verses

    • When equipped, Dante will have a separate menu when he can select any power (This follows the same rules as Helminth)
      • For example: You'll be able to have Shock Verse & Fire Blast Verse on Dante
    • When two Verses have been composed, his 4th will deal a shockwave of both the Damage types from the selected power
      •  With it being Shock & Fire Blast, the 4th will deal Heat & Electricity
    • Dante CANNOT use Augments from the selected powers, only the base stats and each power shares the same Diminished Effectiveness to prevent it from being too strong.

Let me know what you all think (I think the last one is way too OP xD)
