  1. I still don't see anything related to turning Nora transmissions off when you complete an act.

I currently have her turned all the way down because the act completion transmissions are just annoying. I don't want to have to be able to see into the future to know to turn her voice back up from zero if she's part of a quest. She was silent during my first experience with New War because I had her turned off, which was super frustrating, so I would like a way to avoid that in the future.

Maybe if she's part of a quest and during regular Nightwave content, play her dialogue on the regular dialogue channel rather than her own. That would fix almost every problem I have with Nightwave.

  2. My only thing here is with Nightwave, specifically Nora herself.

The little chime-in thing she does whenever you complete an act is frankly such a terrible decision that I have no idea how it got through play testing or quality assurance.

What she says is of less than no value: It's intrusive, it's annoying, and it degrades her novelty. Having her say "Badassador" for the umpteen billionth time I pick up 20 resources just makes me not want to hear her voice anymore. Consequently, I have her volume turned all the way down, and because of this, she is silent during quests (such as the New War) and her own Nightwave exclusive content, which is really unfortunate since I like the stories she narrates. I just want her to keep her voice from sounding off during regular gameplay so I don't have to remember to unmute her when I want to interact with a Nightwave story or if I can't see into the future to know that she's part of some new quest or event. I also don't want her face blocking my game. This is most egregious in Railjack where any character speaking blocks the tactical menu (which is also still pretty scuffed in itself, btw).

TL;DR: Please add a "Nora act completion announcement" toggle so I don't have to rely on my lack of ability to see into the future to unmute Nora when she's important.

Whats annoying, you just load in the circuit and are trying to choosing your load out then someone goes through gate right away and you're screwed into the randomness load out of what is already randomly presented.

Then they blame you when you go down and the defense objective dies.

  4. I have a constant burning/campfire sound in my orbiter since the update. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's there more often than not. It seems to just have a chance to start every time I enter my orbiter. I'll record it when I get the chance and either edit this comment or quote it after I get it uploaded.

  5. I really like the dual energy color addition, but I feel like the secondary energy color overrides the primary one too much and there is not enough separation between the colors (colors blend too much), among other things. This is especially prevalent on the Nyx Athena skin.

The first image is with no secondary color

The next image is using a yellow secondary color

    8LEhGtZ.jpg

There is next to no red left here, which is what I want to be most prevalent. It's hardly secondary if it's the only thing you can see.

Another thing about the dual energy color is that the colors don't seem to mingle very well. The red in the next screenshot seems to become a kind of dark pink when interacting with blue. The red has just been completely changed instead of added to.

And maybe this is just me, but I think energy colors in general have been desaturated. They're a lot flatter and whiter than I remember them being before this update. The following is a picture of the Pyra Prime syandana in the new update.

And here's a picture of it from a previous update. The picture is not as clear as I would have liked, but it's the best one I have.

I've even recorded a video that shows something isn't right as well, but it's taking some time to upload. I'll add the video later.

  6. Everything's great so far except I found a couple of edge cases where I prefer the old system:

    1. Some weapons thrived on quick melee combos, which don't seem to be a thing at all now. weapons like polearms had amazing and useful quick melee combos that just don't exist anymore. I hope with the stance reworks, this can come back.
    2. Some weapon passives don't feel right in this new system. Sigma and Octantis's throw mechanic gets in the way of directional slamming. I recommend a hold-to-throw mechanic for that one. Vaykor Sydon's workaround seems fine, but still clumsy, especially on a mouse.

That's all I have for the moment. Overall a welcome change.

So, what you're saying... is that Hildryn is going to be locked behind a timegate for people who don't have the plat to plunk down for the pack AND weren't able to do the fractures this time around? Is that seriously what you're saying here? Do correct me if I'm wrong, because I sure hope I am.

And I thought Nyx was bad. She's my current favorite frame and she's locked behind infestation outbreaks! But at least they're pretty common. This though, this is a whole other level of pay-to-sleep!

  8. So far I'm loving the Nyx rework. She used to be my favorite frame in the game until she was kind of made obsolete by a lot of frames who do her job better. However, I think she has a major problem with survivability. She's too power-hungry for how squishy she is. An easy solution to this would be giving her some way to regenerate health and/or energy (preferably one or the other, as doing both has the potential to make things a bit too easy IMO) and maybe giving her a few more i-frames after canceling absorb since being stuck in an animation makes her an easy kill. Like, for example, killing enemies affected by Psychic Bolts could drop health and/or energy orbs like Nezha's Blazing Chakram. I don't think a frame should be required to rely on another for basic survivability, and Nyx almost has to since she's paper thin with no recovery options. Absorb is also not nearly strong enough to deal with the enemies hitting her since most factions do damage types they're resistant to if they even happen to still be in range when the ability ends, which they often aren't. Even with that, my biggest gripe with it is still the lack of recovery options for how squishy she is.

  9. I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but if it isn't please direct me the right way.

So, I started playing pubs today because being a solo player for 4 years has kinda gotten lonely. I was doing the T5 Vallis bounty for the new relic and notice fatal teleport was doing 0 damage when earlier that day, when I was solo, it'd been fine. Skywing seems to play some role in fixing it, but I found that to be inconsistent at best.

    Spoiler

Also, DE please put the Skywing flight model back, the Archwing one isn't fun to use and feels unfinished.

  10. Why did you change the flight model of Skywing, the only acceptable and actually fun flight model to date IMHO, into the worse version of itself? Skywing was great and then you ruined it. I liked the 6DOF when sprinting, I liked the auto-fly when sprinting, and I liked being able to stop in the general area I wanted to. I've been saying that archwing should adopt the skywing model since I first got my hands on the Archwing launcher when Plains of Eidolon hit. It was just so much better in terms of fun. The only thing that was holding it down was the absurdly large collision box. DE, please put the skywing model back.

  11. When I try to gild the mote amp from the gilding menu, it says that I "Cannot donate [my] only mote amp" which in itself is pretty annoying because I just have an amp I'm never going to use again perpetually taking up an amp slot, but I digress. I just want to get the mastery out of the amp and dump/shelve it, but the gilding menu thinks I'm trying to donate it for some reason. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks!

  12. Before the most recent update, there was a Red Veil Operative kind of hanging out in the hallway next to the Red Veil Embassy. He was the only Syndicate NPC that would speak to you in passing, saying things like, "Your skill is unmatched, Tenno," and I'm aligned with the Veil, if that matters. Now, he's gone, and I saw nothing in the patch notes about it. I'm thinking he wasn't supposed to be there yet and he was stealth-patched out of the relays. Did anyone else see this guy? Any thoughts about him for those of you who saw him?

  13. I've got this, too.

you start receiving mr after you've gilded it

I don't know if it's the same for amps, but my zaw strikes are counting toward without gilding. It looks like we have to start fresh with this because it hasn't counted strikes I've already used (and hated), which is a shame because we can't get the mote prism again.
