  1. I did submit a ticket requesting for my account to be reverted back to Dec 22nd, to it's pre-cross save state.

I had a particular issue, I couldn't trade with anyone, including people who enabled cross save. The initial response from support was to inform me of the restrictions of cross save, and that I was sufficiently warned that the process was permanent.

My argument was that I still can not trade with anyone, and that the /cross-save page I used to enable cross save did not include information pertaining to the restrictions of cross save. That information is on the FAQ and crossprogression pages. So I don't believe I was sufficiently warned.

Thankfully, they understood and helped me revert my account.

  2. I enabled cross save before looking around the website and reading all the restrictions on trading. After realizing the mistake, I asked support if they can revert my account back. Thankfully, they did. Now I can trade with my friends and clan mates again.

My account was reverted back to its pre-cross save state so I did lose the bit of progress I made during my cross save state (I was forewarned by support prior to revert), which includes all the operation gargoyle's cry event rewards. I'm not worried about it though, I can earn that back in time... apart from the Krios Signa... that one hurts.

Overall, thanks to support, [DE]Liane and everyone who worked on my request, everything is back to normal.

    See you out there, Tenno.

edit: I also got my forum account back.

  3. Yea, I would actually like it if operators got melee weapons. Perhaps different than the usual. Energy type melee weapons?

Maybe they can obtain different contraptions for their other arm each made to spawn different types of melee weapons. I don't know, it would be nice.

Im not sure why there's a concern about Operators becoming similar to Warframes when that has been the exact direction DE has taken so far - Amps, Abilities, Shields... Operators have rifle amps, shotgun amps, grenade amps, lol they're worried about melee weapons, really? Burst grenade amps, void jet, cluster bomb, timed explosive, charged beam...

DE doesn't fail to surprise. They've taken this game to space, to underwater, to open worlds. They can make it happen.

I took 5 breaks in total, i think. And the things you talk about are the problem for a mr2 noob who wans to be the cool kid. Not for some1 who has nothing else to do in wf, and when ill have nothing else to do ill quit again. I don't understand why are you ringing the bell in 2020. Nothing will stop this weapon/wf grind, they are the are bones and muscles of this game, always was, will never change. Lore, combat mechanics, mission variety, story - are a very thin skin. Maybe mr 30 will put a stop for weapon additions, but i doubt.

I can sit here and explain to you how a lot of the content added over the years played a big role in my continuing to play the game, but it will probably fly over your head as you think that pretty much all content this game has is meaningless and all there is is weapon/wf grind. That is a terrible way to experience WF, Im taking this break for both of us, im not leaving you behind like this.

Personally, acquiring and ranking up weapons/wf has never been a problem, or a burden to me. Sure, some weapons/wf had their share of grind tied behind them but the trade chat, market, relic system, and beacons made things way easier overall. But if im interested in a specific kuva weapon without the grind, I cant just trade for some plat and buy it, I have to buy the grind to it as well. And this is a multi-variable grind that has already been applied to additional weapons since its release.

As I initially stated, lately I was just playing for upkeep, and a lot of the pointless grind I dealt with over the years was masked by fun. The hype for railjack died fast with the rushed, broken state in was released in, so there goes the fun in that. All that was left was the lich system, and it could have been so much better in so many ways.

Sometimes I think DE does way too much thinking with certain content. Damage is certainly one thing that could have been more simple, though it does keep me interested in putting together some beast builds. But I cant understand how they sat down and thought, "ok with this lich system, lets have players grind this, farm that, try this a few times, kill that a few times.... and have players repeat everything for every single kuva weapon we push out. Yea they've been complaining about grind, but they wont mind this."

As far as MR30 goes, at this point im worried about what DE comes up with after that.

You are like 6 years off with that sentiment, the #*!%ing irony. Warframe is grind. There is nothing else to this game, never was, never will. And it amazes me that it took you 6 years to put 2+ 2 together. But its so good at it, the grind. Its so good at it that if WF was a person he or she would have crazy nen abilities revolving around grind.

You sound like youve been stuck in a survival mission since 2013. Honestly, I feel like you need a break more than me.

Over the past 6 years, WF went from the ground, to underwater, to outer space. Two sandbox areas were added. Combat capabilities grew uniquely with the addition of operators and amps. The addition of focus schools, arcanes and rivens gave us even more power to play with. We learned about the operators, and the story behind the Lotus. From combat mechanics, to mission variety, to lore, WF has expanded in almost every way possible. Theres plenty of content to mask the grind behind, but after going through it all, to come across an addition like the liches - that ties to so many weapons, and requires so much work... thats when I start loosing interest.

Just to draw a picture: there are almost 400 weapons in WF. Lets say eventually about half the weapons get a kuva version, and the average player takes a few days to take out a lich... thats well over a year worth of dealing with this lich system. Now, im not saying thats where the lich system is headed, but DE recently added more weapons to the kuva mix, so...

  6. Im not saying get rid of the entire idea, but farming larvlings, requiem relic missions, requiem mods, having to kill the lich multiple times, loosing your requiem mods... its too much grind for very little reward.

Over the past 6 years ive outlasted almost everyone I know in playing Warframe. With the exception of one or two players, my clan is dead. I dealt with a lot of pointless grind just for the fun of it, but that ran out. Lately I was just playing for the upkeep.

What youre asking now is for players to have to go through the lich system for every kuva weapon you push out which I imagine it will end up being at least half the weapons in the game.

I know some players will simply say things like "you dont have to play". I havent played since I dealt with the 1st lich when it was introduced, but thats not a good solution. I dont want Warframe to be a pointless game full of grind and rng. Sadly that is what its becoming, and I hope DE takes notice and steers away from that direction.

Off the top of my head: the lich system could have been a boss fight of very high difficulty with some brain mechanics added to it, and the reward for completing it could have been the kuva weapon with an rng roll at its stats. Without having to grind this, and farm that, and all the rest of it.

Not everything in Warframe needs to be a tedious dragged out task.

  7. I really like Trinity, mainly because I like healer roles, so these are some ideas I have that would make Trinity really fun to play.

This revolves around Link and WoL. I believe her Blessing and Vamp are just fine... I mean I do believe that Vamp and Blessing is a bit OP as a kit combo on a single frame, but her laughable armor pretty much takes care of that. Her armor is actually the reason why I dont use her as much as I would like to. Its the reason why I see Link as necessity rather than an ability, which makes it a tedious micromanage. Honestly if it was up to me I would make Link active at all times. Ok, so...

WoL: I would rather have WoL pulsate health to nearby allies, rather then everyone who needs health having to take focus off other enemies and aim at the one that has a hard cc applied to them.

Link: I would like Link to me able to channel up to 6 enemies. To be able to store incoming damage during Link, regardless if Trin is immune or resistant to damage, and upon recast, or end of ability to deliver the damage stored back to all channeled enemies. That would make Link a fun ability. Void Spines should not interfere with Link storing damage.

and finally... id like to see her health and armor buffed to about 125. This would remove Link from being a necessity, and keep it as a fun damage ability.

My thoughts on whether or not this would make Trin "OP" are.. Warframe enemy levels tend to scale with time in a lot of missions, and im not a Mercury player. This would actually have me bring Trin to the most dangerous missions, and enjoy playing her in those missions for lengthy amounts of time. I believe that a lot of frames are OP in certain ways, and weak in others. To me, at this point, its all about having fun.

Neither octavia or volt require LoS.  Both out do her in ESO.

Hello. How would you compare Octavia and Volt to each other, and Saryn, in terms of effort required in order to "clear a room"? Im genuinely curious to your opinion. Personally, I find Volt requiring a bit less effort than Saryn, not much of a difference. I dont really play Octavia, so I cant speak on her.

Im only asking because some people seem to think that Saryn is the one frame above all that comes out of the box ready to clear rooms without any effort, and no other frame can come close.

  9. In terms of mechanics, melee is just meh. Still a button mash, with the addition of a heavy. The combos are not anything special either. Simple hack n slash stuff.

In terms of power, a lot of other weapons, including non-melee, are falling behind.

Thats the way I see melee anyway.

  10. Best thing I did was open the nodes and hang the game back up. This update is all over the place, I see many changes coming... I can even see some railjack weapon "balance" coming.

I felt that upgrading my railjack every step of the way was a waste of resources so I joined other crews on my way to veil.

Now that I have an idea of what type if grind and rng im facing.... lol im not even going to bother unless I see some big changes.

  11. I found out about litches the hard way as well. I spared my first one thinking I can get their weapon whenever. After learning that I couldnt, I gave the litch to a friend thinking he would get the weapon right away... and before he told me that the litch becomes active once traded, I traded for one thinking I would get their weapon right away.

I hope a future update gives me the option to just delete this litch, Im too burnt to bother going through the processs of getting rid of it.

I also hope that information regarding content can be better explained in game, in the future, especially content that requires a considerable amount of time and effort to complete once it has been engaged.

Someone please tell me that World on Fire will be returned to Ember.

Apologies my fellow Tenno, but your opening sentence did make me laugh.

I sympathize, but not because of how good, or bad World on Fire might have been, but because I was used to it... through time it identified with Ember. Now the frame is different, it seems as though it was replaced. I can see how thats not fair to some of the players who "mained" Ember.

Give some other frames a run. If you dig into the mechanics and synergy of some of these frames abilities you might find something you like. Hey, they took my buddy Excal and turned em into a turret, it was a sad day for the empire. I grabbed Oberon and never looked back.

    Cheer up

  13. I really like Oberon, hes my favorite frame. Im all for him getting better, but the thought of.... his reckoning is not bad, adjusting it... it might just backfire.

If its an over the top crazy buff, im all for it. We already have frames with ridiculously powerful abilities (that DE doesnt seem to have a problem with), might as well add Ober to the list. If its something mediocre, something we have to micromanage... just leave my buddy as is and work on the augment, as mentioned above.

Or, give some love to frames that really need it.

  14. I never said Ember isnt tanky. I said that there are frames that can treat enemy levels where Ember falls off like a walk in the park... which makes Ember a lower tier frame to those other frames. Ember being the most recent rework should have been reworked up to par with the best of the tanky, and damage frames since thats what shes built to do. Also, I never said that Ember has no damage output, but compare to other frames shes nothing special... again, a lower tier frame. Maybe thats how DE wants Ember, I dont know. Some people may say that tanky frames like Inaros are broken... well, I dont see DE complaining about them, until they do I will compare other frames to them. All id like to see is more balance across frames. Maybe Ember was a bad example since shes much more tanky than she was, but shes far from being up to par with the best of them. Who knows... its not my game, DE will decide in the end.

  15. Ember is a low tier frame. She kills and tanks but shes not great at either. She lacks power and has line of sight. She also has to manage her damage reduction along with her armor strip which are not consistent. She cant keep either up to max for long. I brought up Embers killing potential against Saryns, not her damage reduction, even though its really nothing special in comparison as I can survive with Saryn at pretty high levels. Where exactly would you bring Ember over Saryn? Elite Onslaught? High tier Interception? High tier Defense? Survival is probably her best bet, and shes easily outclassed by other frames there as well.

In regards to Ember killing enemies- Saryn kills and strips armor with less effort, way further, and she does it consistently in 360 degrees. You cant start stripping 100% armor with Ember right away without throwing a few Infernos down the drain, which are weak and cost energy.

In regards to Ember being a tank- I can pick out Inaros that tanks consistently and doesnt have to deal with micromanaging energy and damage reduction through a bong meter... and I'll go much further than Ember, any day.

Ember deserves more than this. Shes iconic to this game yet shes outclassed in every way once again. The window im typing in has Ember on the right side..... anyway. The point I was trying to make with this post is that there are frames who are falling way behind, buffing their survivability would be a good start. Survivability cause reworks dont come around often, and when they do, they dont always do the frame justice. At least with some more survivability more frames would see play time.

Um no. She's as good as Saryn now but tankier? Just hit 2, hit 4 and always hit 4 before 3 and you will clean house. Build max efficiency Some range and duration and minimum strength to achieve 90% damage resistance from her 2. Put [Healing Flame] on #3, one health mod, adaptation and Hunter Adrenaline+Rage. (Primed Flow)

Remember every target that's on fire from #4 adds +5% strength to #3. ...hitting 3 is for gaining rage/hunter adrenaline power. Rinse and repeat

Efficiency and duration are a must to maintain 90% damage resistance from #2.

Run in like a crazy person to maintain your energy.

Hey, I tried your build. Its another nice build, no doubt, but its a low tier build and no way its better than Saryn. This was tested in the simulacrum against lvl 100 corrupted heavy gunners.

There are two major problems with Ember, her Line of Sight on Fire Blast, and her Range. Another issue she has is that Immolation needs time and energy to reach its full potential on both 100% armor strip and damage reduction. Also, her Inferno on this build did very little damage, even to the enemies that had no armor left. I had to use abilities multiple times in order to clear the room. I used a Zaw with Exodia Brave, Energize, Guardian, and Energy Generator on the death cube... though for this particular build all the energy mods and arcane were a bit of an overkill.

This is the Saryn build I used. I havent updated it in about a year cause im not on Warframe much, but it was my solo elite onslaught build. Id like to replace Cunning Drift with Primed Sure Footed... see how it plays... anyway.

Corrosive Projection, Cunning Drift, Streamline, Blind Rage, Stretch, Umbral Intensify, Umbral Vitality, Hunter Adrenaline, Overextended, Primed Continuity. I used Awakening, and Guardian with a Catchmoon that had Pax Bolt. Deathcube with Energy Generator and a Zaw with Exodia Brave. On Focus i'll either go Unairu or Zen. The only downsides on this build Vs the Ember is that you will take more damage and you need to know how to manage your energy. Its nowhere near as lazy as Ember, and it kills the same type and level enemies at a fraction of the time, every time. Ember might be tankier but Saryn kills much faster, way further, and with no line of sight issues.

All I know is that DE is not doing right by Ember.... at all. Accelerant was a good ability, just like Overheat was. No need to add micromanage abilities if youre gonna keep it a low tier frame.

  17. Here are my suggestions for Ember:

Buff Armor and Health to 125.

Replace Fireball with Accelerant. Let Accelerand stun, and deal armor strip, in 360 degree, no LoS, over time and with more heat damage.

    Replace Immolation with Overheat.

Remove LoS from Fire Blast, also remove armor strip as Accelerant will take over.

Buff Range across the board. This will help modding.

Are we worried Ember will become too powerful?.... Why? We already have a frame that can do this much and DE seems to be just fine with it.

  18. 3 hours ago, Raikh said:

Ember has more survivability than Saryn. Sure her base stats are worse but Immolation provides up to 90% damage reduction making her defesnive potential far outreach what Saryn can achieve. Even sitting at medium levels of around 70% Immolation makes her tankier than Saryn in a similar build.

Its difficult to comapre Ember and Saryns damage because they both work fundamentally different. The most notable difference are LoS requirements that Ember has and Saryn doesn't. Inferno hits decently hard but you simply can't nuke an entire room or more with it since you only hit targets in a cone in front of you. SImilarly SPores spread without any restrictions and Fire Blast has also LoS requirements mkaing it difficult for Ember to strip an entire rooms armor.

If you put Saryn and Ember in Simulacrum in front of a bunch of 100+ Heavy Gunners and both just start nuking EMber with a 100% armor strip at max Immolation into spamming 2-3 Inferons ont hem is gonna kill them faster than Saryn Applying Spores and pressing Miasma. I haven't done the math but the heat procs of Inferno can be quite powerful and an instant complete armor strip is just miles ahead of the slower Spores strip.

A lot of Misasma seemingly crazy performance is also due to viral which helps immensely. Generally the damage typijg of SPores and Miasma are so incredibly good and convenient which is what truly allows her damage to work the way it is working.

Saryn is also not really burst oriented. She doesn't snap her finger sand an etire room immeidately disappears. Sure against lower levle mobs that still works but the higher you go up the more it becomes evident that she just applies constant pressure in a large area, whereas other nuke frames can really snap their figners and stuff just dies (Hi Equinox).
Saryn also has fundamentally 2 AoE damage abilities. Ember only really has Inferno. Fire Blast does no notable damage its jsut a heat-sink and armor strip which also plays heavily into the match-up.

There are certainly ways to improve the new Ember, like reducing energy consumption and making her 3 do a bit more than it does currently. Getting rid of Fireball would be a nice touch as well, as its just a waste of space barring the augment, which is easily transferable to a replacement, but I doubt that in particular will happen any time soon.
The main conflcit at hand is however how Saryn can nuke maps due to not requiring LoS while Ember is way more limited in that regard. Inferno,s damage, especially with stripped armor can do a lot of work. If you could press 3 + 4 with Ember and hit everything within 40-50 meters she would be way closer to Saryn and I dare to say situationally better.

You made some solid points. Also, yes, getting rid of Fireball would be pretty nice.

I did run them both through the simulacrum earlier. Saryn had a much easier time surviving as well as dealing with lvl 100 and up corrupted heavy gunners. Saryns Molt kept her out of trouble most of the time, her Spores grew stronger over time... Saryn was way more efficient. Embers line of sight is one of her biggest issues. Her Immolation and Fire Blast are also an issue. 100% armor strip cant be sustained efficiently because every time you cast Fire Blast, which misses enemies due to its LoS, it costs energy and brings Immolation down to 70% which effects your damage reduction and cant strip 100% armor until it goes back up. Inferno also has its cost on energy...

At the higher strength levels theyr both up there as far as clearing enemies, but Ember has a difficult time sustaining. Where Ember misses her armor strip and is dealing with an Immolation and energy pool that are going up and down like a yoyo, Saryns spores grow stronger, reach further, dont have LoS, and dont need more energy to spread and strip armor.

Like I said man, Ember is just an example because both her and Saryn are offensive, armor stripping frames. Banshee can def use some buffing. I dont understand why DE is tippy toeing around reworks as if theyre worried they might make a frame too powerful.... when we have frames like Saryn, Nova, Octavia, Nidus... lol Inaros, talk about treating high levels like a walk in the park. The gap between some of the best frames and some of the worst is crazy.

DE is worried about players dealing with "finger acrobatics" when it comes to melee 3.0. but they bring out Ember in a state where players have to deal with brain acrobatics in order to sustain at high levels... just a joke... anyway.

  19. 1 hour ago, WhiteMarker said:

    1. Not Ember is the problem in your example, it's Saryn...

    2. Seems like you didn't play Ember enough since her rework. She can survive quite a lot. And she can strip armor aswell. How about checking her out before talking about her?

I played Ember enough to believe shes nowhere near as good as Saryn... maybe you disagree. I picked Saryn as an example because she is one of the closest frames to Ember, in that, they both strip armor, and they are both focused on killing enemies, not controlling them.

Saryn had a double rework over a year ago, and ended up the way she is. The Devs obviously dont think shes a problem. Perhaps the problem is that after the Devs settled for Saryn being the way she is, they reworked Ember the way they did. I dont know for sure, all I know is that there are frames that are falling way behind. Ember, being a more recent rework should have had a much better... rework.

Again, im not saying one Warframe should be better than all, im just saying that a given Warframe should be at least up to par with the next one in some way or another. Maybe then we can start seeing better balance.

  20. The minimum amount of armor and health for any given Warframe should be 125.

I know some people will dismiss this by bringing up certain Warframes and their outcome given these buffs. I can bring up certain Warframes right now that can outclass most other Warframes in almost every way. The gap between the worst and best frames is way too big, and the enemies are not getting any weaker. Some Warframes have fallen way behind.

The abilities of a Warframe dont mean anything if that Warframe cant survive a mission. An example would be Embers rework. Its irrelevant because Ember cant survive past certain enemy levels that other Warframes can treat as a walk in the park. To make matters worse, Ember doesnt have the damage output some other Warframes have... im not sure why a Warframe that has been around since day one, and is even tied to the lore, is outclassed in every way by other Warframes. Im not saying Ember should be the strongest, but if the game had proper balance Ember should be as efficient at surviving and killing enemies as Saryn, for example. Saryn has more armor, energy, and health than Ember, and she can kill more enemies, way faster, way further, and at higher levels... and she strips armor.

If a Warframe cant survive as much as the next frame, and cant kill as much as the next frame, and cant crowd control as much as the next frame... then that Warframe is garbage.

  21. Everything I was going to post in regards to Embers rework has been mentioned in here. All thats left to say is that I spent two formas on Ember (didnt bother maxing the second one) just to realize shes still just another "meh" frame, and put her back on the shelf.

I don't agree at all that enemies being hard to kill is a goal of combat-oriented games

I said the challenge. The primary challenge is hard to kill enemies. The goal can be a number of things, like reaching wave 5, for example. But when there is no such challenge, when I can one swing through every enemy on the map, it becomes boring, it feels like a waste of time. I understand you disagree, and im sure youre not the only one, but a lot of players already argue that the state of melee combat is not good because its a button mash. Even Warframe content creators have made this statement time and again over the years. Also, as I initially stated, this is not a proposition to change what we have, but to add to it, which will not change anything for you if you dont wish to engage in such mechanics.

    4 hours ago, Steel_Rook said:

Secondly - as I said - I don't see the point of a more calculated melee system in a horde shooter. Complex decisions lose their complexity when one has to make them hundreds of times per minute. At that point, most people default to whatever is the most straightforwardly spammable and just default to that.

I understand you dont see the point, but a lot of other players do. A lot of players dont find complexity in 6 to 8 combos, also, a lot of players want to use melee combat on high level enemies, and enjoy it. Whats important is that what im proposing wont interfere with what we have now, or whats to come, which means that nobody will be forced to engage in it, but the players who wish to will be able to enjoy it. DE is already reworking melee, and we dont fully know whats to come out of it. Theres a reason behind that, the current melee combat is not good enough. The melee 3.0 system DE has shown us so far does feature movement, and even the block button being utilized in combos. Im not really that far off from what they already have in mind.

    4 hours ago, Steel_Rook said:

Finally, I strongly disagree with rewards scaling with challenge. I'm personally a strong believer in over-rewarding the median and under-rewarding both extremes of easy and hard.

I honestly never played a game where Normal Mode gave the best rewards, and Easy and Hard Mode gave the same lower tier rewards. But again, its a preference thing, and thats totally fine. A lot of us want the challenge though, and we want to engage in it and enjoy it with everything we have, which includes melee combat.

Ultimately, It doesnt interfere with what we already have, it wont force any changes to what we have, it will just add to it. Its something DE will decide on... and I hope they add, at least something similar to my initial post. Everyone will be happy.
