  1. I guess it would be neat, but I kinda like the idea of having a moddable and specialized tool that’s separate from our current weapon pool and arsenal in terms of function.

Maybe equipping the Parazon could let you use guaranteed Parazon finishers on low HP enemies, making it more reliable in terms of usage while maintaining its lethality.

  2. I’d be okay with the price if we were getting more bang for our plat. More shoulder armors, more leg plates, and some of those Lich-specific backpack syandanas would go a long way towards making the price easier to swallow.

And yeah selling Requiem mods and Relics via the market does leave a bad taste in my mouth regardless.

  3. Now I want to see a depressed/perpetually sad Lich as a potential personality.

As far as I’ve seen, the Lich will only expand its territory once it ranks up or once you clear all of the current territory nodes. If they can expand through other means, I have yet to encounter them doing so.

  4. Riven dispositions aren’t just balanced around usage these days. DE also utilizes an “internal power ranking” when changing disposition values, as stated in one of the earlier Riven Disposition Developer Workshops:

  5. From what I’ve seen, the Railjack dry-dock will have 3 entrances/exits. Height hasn’t been confirmed but I imagine you’ll want to leave some room on the floors directly above and below the dock.

The devs have stated in recent devstreams that their plan is to release the dock first to give clans time to prepare for the actual release of the Railjack ship. There have been no recent indicators that things have changed in that regard, at least as far as I know.

so in other words it just force the enemies just to go in stealth kill mode all the way

    Pretty much.

You can crit on blinded enemies, and it’ll stack additively with the stealth damage bonus as far as I know. But there is no actual increase in crit chance when attacking a blinded enemy vs an aware enemy.

It’s definitely a powerful boost to melee damage, and one of the most useful bits of Excalibur’s kit.

No I had them in alert mode to test this and not have them in idol mode, it actually still work even thou there is 1-3 second to assassinate them, excal radiant blind has yellow crit give you still that much which depend the how long the duration effect gives.

Those yellow numbers you are seeing aren’t crits for the most part, is what I’m saying.

Stealth damage also shows up as yellow, and Radial Blind/Howl puts affected enemies into an unaware state that forces them to receive stealth damage. This can occur with AI on in the Simulacrum, and in missions.

An easy way to test is to compare the numbers using critical damage mods (e,g, Organ Shatter) on an otherwise un-modded Exalted Blade. You’ll notice that the numbers won’t get affected by the critical damage multiplier, regardless of whether the critical damage mods are equipped or not.

If you want the crit even more then use Excal's radiant blind for it does crit chance to be 100% for full proof which I tested in combat on corrupted bombards 120 lvl for it works fine with all that type

That’s just the stealth damage multiplier, which is not to be confused with critical hits. Blinded enemies are susceptible to a stealth damage bonus of up to +700% depending on the rank of the weapon in question. Stealth damage shows up as yellow numbers, similar to critical hits.

For more information on stealth damage, I recommend checking out the Stealth section of the wiki at this link

Players rushing through content like it's time limited. "I haven't gotten a Kuva drakgoon after 10 tries, DE please fix."

Why don't you all just calm down and take your time on things? It will feel alot better, trust me.

I don’t mind taking my time, and I don’t mind the RNG of the Liches too much.

What grinds my gears is that you can get a Lich that literally offers nothing of value, that you then have to spend hours specifically grinding away at in order to remove.

If defeating a Lich also gave additional rewards upon defeat such as Kuva or Riven shards, and if you didn’t have to set aside all of your other Warframe activities in order to grind rumors or fight your Lich, then I would be far less annoyed at getting that 5th 25% impact Seer duplicate.

  10. Weapons should not be balanced around an optional and unnecessary system. Not everyone owns a Riven for Kohm or Ogris, and for people who don’t the variants should still be an upgrade. If the variants aren’t worth it compared to the un-Riven’d regular version, then we have a problem that warrants buffs to those variants imo.

I think DE should look at these weapons a little more in depth, either buff them more to compensate for the riven dispo or increase the riven disposition for some of them.

I imagine the latter will likely be the case. If the issue is with Riven dispositions then it should be a simple matter to bring them in line.

  11. I really appreciate this write-up and the effort it took to create it! This will make a great reference for me when I want to see what to expect from various stances I’m interested in trying after the changes.

    Stance - Exalted Blade

    • Heavy attack 1: Exactly the same as Single Sword Heavy Attack #1 (Horizontal swipe, Liftup - even missing the bladewave or something more "effectful", sadly)
    • Heavy attack 2: Exactly the same as Single Sword Heavy Attack #2 (Vertical swipe, knockdown - even missing the bladewave or something more "effectful", sadly)

Yup, would love for Exalted Blade’s heavy attacks to shoot waves, Maybe even much larger ones to compensate for the charge time.

  12. I feel like Radial Javelin should do more then just damage enemies for Excalibur to have a “complete” kit. A damage reduction buff or something similar would be nice.

Speaking about the OP though, I certainly wouldn’t mind any of the proposed changes at all, but if Radial Javelin is going to be changed to a grounded ability then I’d like for it to get that “aimed slam” functionality that stomp has for Rhino currently. It did always bother me how casting it in the air looks visually.

  13. Yeah, I do feel Exalted Blade got the short end of the stick here. Many melee weapons approach (or exceed) its base damage now, while having several advantages:

    • Better crit and/or status stats.
    • No energy requirement.
    • Can equip Amalgam/Acolyte mods.

That being said, my Exalted Blade still kills stuff fairly easily in most of the missions I’ve been running (though I have yet to try ESO after the melee update) thanks to Chromatic Blade so it’s hard for me to say that “it’s not good” now. It’s just odd (and a little sad) seeing it be out-damaged by a bunch of regular melee weapons in my arsenal. Hopefully we get some stat adjustments in the near future that will make EB more competitive.

Please don't pessimist me outta this.

Not trying to be a negative Nancy, sorry if it seems that way. For all we know DE is aware of the issues I mentioned and is coming up with something that will blow our minds.

I just want more info or at least a confirmation that they’re working on it.

It would have more function as well as form.

More function? If we are looking at glaive+pistol as an example of what that would be like, the proposal would actually be less functional considering what the current mode offers.

Using current glaive+pistol combo gives you the following unique benefits:

    • Charged throw mechanic with increased effect/damage.
    • Aerial throwing capability.

Compared with regular instant-switch however, it has several downsides:

    • Only one ground combo.
    • No heavy attacks or heavy slams.
    • No blocking capability.
    • No air combos or hover combos.

If the single melee+pistol mode has the same downsides in exchange for a unique gimmick or two, then even if it was worth using it would still be functionally less useful comparatively. Of course, for all we know the mode might be complete different/improved from the current glaive+pistol option but until we get some concrete details I’m only going off of what I’ve seen.

    5 minutes ago, AshenHaze said:

Like the glaive + single side arm you probably cannot block but you have the added utility of having an immediate ranged and melee response.

Current instant-switch already does this though. Press fire to instantly shoot, press melee to instantly melee. It’s already immediate and has several upsides comparatively, which is why I called the concept redundant.

To be clear, I’m not against single melee+pistol mode happening, and was looking forward to it before the Phase 1 “Flow” update released (because the concept is definitely cool as Hek). I’m just not convinced that it will be any more useful then the current set up unless it has some amazing new mechanic/unique attributes while allowing access to the new melee mechanics.

I’m hoping we will get some information about their plans for this in the near future, and at least an update to the current glaive+pistol mode but as I said above their current silence regarding this has me a tad worried.

  16. It would be cool, but pretty redundant now that we have instant switching between gun and blade. Maybe they’re still considering implementing it but the lack of mentions regarding implementing a dual-wielding mode in the recent streams/patch notes/workshops does concern me a bit.

  17. Are you referring to the grab attack they perform on you where they beat you up and then toss you away?

That attack isn’t random, it occurs when you stay within melee range of the Lich. The attack is telegraphed by a wind-up animation with a sound cue (usually a growl or yell) before they lunge at you, allowing you to dodge if you have good reaction time. I’ve never had issues facing mine in solo matches thanks to that.
