  1. The whole status proc not working on petrified enemies complaint is irrelevant imo. As it stands, my atlas does so much damage that i can take out lvl 150 gunners and bombards in 5 to 10 hits with the combo counter built up using path of statues augment. Also, with the new rework landslide will do BONUS damage to petrified enemies! So now I will be able to kill everything even faster! Maybe crank up the strength on your build and mod melee with all pure damage mods.

I was in a couple groups this morning with some random chroma and another one the group after both of them turned the eidolon into a bad joke it was dead so quick.

is this what the dev's wanted for this boss fight that one frame with the right weapons can pretty much solo it ?

please don't respond that if i don't like it don't use chroma or play with it because thats just stupid to even say to anyone that disputes something that destroys any challenge.

Was just about to make a topic on this. I like to play solo. "But eidolons are supposed to killed in groups man!". Yes i get that, but I prefer to play warframe solo. This design choice has made it so that you have NO choice on who you need to take if you are hoping to kill 2 eidolons in 1 night. Yes there is rhino with roar and iron skin, volt with his shield damage buff, etc...but I like playing as atlas (I wish atlas landslide could damage the synovia ),excal, loki, and frost. All that those frames represent in the eidolon fight are arms to carry my 7 forma rubico.

The biggest problem with this: the eidolon boss design stifles almost all player creativity and FORCES players into using 1 frame in order to be efficient. The beauty of warframe has always been the CHOICE you have on how you dispatch enemies. Right now there is only 1 option, and that's chroma

Yes you should if you want to maximize the dps and not interested in getting or using rivens. Heavy caliber or vigilante armaments. Mods like fast hands are useless in eidolon hunting because you will one shot it anyway and because you wil have harrow and volt on the team anyway as well. Ask them to use their powers if you want - or don't even, again you only need one shot, it's very unlikely you will have to reload much. And if your harrow actually cares enough and is competent, your reload speed will be better than standard reload on something like soma prime. If you're using harrow yourself get yourself 200-285% strenght and a redirection (optionally + augur accord orvigor), it'll beat primed fast hands any day.

I personally use this build - again, in the place of riven just put armaments or another elemental mod.

This build and the weapon is also great for sniping ships like Ogma in PoE, takes 2-3 shots.

Needless to say, bladed rounds is useless against eidolon because you have nothing and no time to kill aside fromt Eidolon anyway.

Cause using it on a very accurate weapon with a falloff of 30 meters makes more sense than on a sniper that you use scoped only to shoot Eidolon's junk (which means you can't possibly miss). Makes sense.

So you don' find the accuracy decrease to be much of an issue using heavy caliber?

Also, should i lose hammer shot? I like the crit damage multiplier...

I'm sure someone out there is ready to hate on me for it... but i don't use heavy caliber on any weapon. like at all.
I also do plenty of high level content (lvl 200+) and am often the highest dmg player who isn't a dmg frame (no weapon will beat saryn, mesa, a good octavia in an endless).

you don't need that. personally, after the sniper update, i think my most common build is: serration, split chamber, point strike, vital sense, riven mod (CC + dmg + zoom, -ve something), primed fast hands, and 2 elements.
i thought i had bladed rounds somewhere, but i guess not. my other build is:

serration, split chamber, point strike, vital sense, bladed rounds, primed fast hands, riven (CC + toxin), and 1 more element

How does everyone and their dog have a rubico riven with either cc, cd, or damage? Lol

  5. Yo! So i'm trying to create my eidolon killer Rubico and im nearly there.  I don't have a riven which sucks, but have modded the best i can for damage, crit chance/damage, and Radiation.  I currently have 3 elemental mods for radiation (two 90% and one dual stat), but I'm wondering if i should replace the dual stat elemental mod for Heavy Caliber.  If i do ill need to forma again....

In your experience, is HC worth it on the rubico?  Thanks!

Amp 2 or 3 ( its more a question of personal choice than real performance ).

Without a trinity or oberon and with only 2 persons in the group ... its going to be dificult to keep lures alive ... and for having a chance you will have to pick lvl 30 ones .

Opticor its the best weapon for the job  (takes 7 formas to do a decent build... so maybe that why you do "tickles") ... and radiation its mandatory .

What do you think of the rubico? I think I might want to pump some forma into it to see if I like it better than the opticor

No frame can be considered "useless" since the majority of the fight is operator based. There's only playing the meta.

I run banshee, and i don't care what anybody says.

I use Euphona Prime when it comes time to shooting the limbs. I don't know if Radiation helps with the teralyst, but the build is for high level(100+) Bombards and takes them down in a single shot more often than not.

I like your style! Can you please post your build? And do you use the secondary fire or normal?

  8.  I know the teralyst fight cycle well and have killed a few in groups, but id like to play solo or with 1 other friend.

I already know the most efficient way to do this is the get a chroma and a sniper rifle and get your bounty 5 lures and go ham. Well I don't like chroma and don' want to play as him. Unfortunately I like all the frames that are useless in teralyst fights...(atlas,excal,ash,ember,wukong,etc).

So I was wondering if you kind tenno could give me some tips on how to kill a teralyst solo or with 1 other friend WITHOUHT chroma/trin/harrow/rhino. I know it's not the efficient way and takes much longer but i don' care im stubborn lol...what amp should I work toward? What primary and secondary? My opticor has 3 forma and i do like 4k damage per shot, which basically tickles the big guy...what gun is the best?

    Thanks in advance!

I mean the Teralyst is supposed to be taken on in a group, of course you're going to have to get specific when trying to solo.

Touche. It just makes this big piece of content that DE is clearly investing further in much less compelling (or possible outside of specific set ups) for players who prefer to play solo.  But I get it, this something that is very difficult to balance around and I'm sure players like me who really enjoy playing solo (outside of hydron/akkad pubs) are the minority.

  10. Who's done it and what's your set up? I HATE it that as players we have been forced to rely on 2-4 frames to EFFICIENTLY take down teralysts. I just happen to not enjoy playing as chroma or trinity and don't have titania.

The beauty of warframe has always been the vast levels of choice the player had to takedown enemies. With eidolons, if you want to play solo, you're choice is severely limited.

So what has your experience been and what are your thoughts on the topic?
