The sad thing is that with the exception of a few minor things the only thing PC has that we don't have right now is Tennogen. So most likely we probably won't get it until the next "big" update happens. In other words PoE.

My worst fear is that we won't get round 9 until they decide to simultaneously release round 10 on all systems.

But who knows. Maybe DE will somehow pull through and surprise us with a hotfix next week.

Eh...Rebecca, along with other DE folks, basically confirmed on Twitter that it is the next cert build. And DE normally does 1 console update a month. So this just means we will get round 9 in September and 10 in October. Too bad all I care about is 9...

So at this point all we can hope is that they send a console build to cert really early in September since they know there won't really be any major updates until PoE, so basically the major item for console until then is tennogen. This is of course just MY opinion ;)

So DE announced that consoles won't be getting Round 9 until our next update, which in my opinion is kind of bull seeing how both systems received round 7 in a Hotfix, but oh well. What can you do.

I guess just sit back, log in for daily rewards and just wait.

Was hoping I was gonna be wrong and you were gonna be right...crap :(. I just hope they do an update EARLY September.

I never said they didn't require an update. What I did say is that they didn't require a cert. If you look at round 7 (the first round for both consoles and pc) it was given to us in a hotfix. If you need proof here is the link:

So we very well could get it as a hotfix.

Ahhhh thanks for the education! Alright, hope is engaged again :)

The only times I ever saw patch notes for it was when they were bringing old stuff over to consoles.

My guess is that if it shows up this week it will either show up tomorrow (Tuesday), on Thursday (because DevStream) or Friday.

Go back and look at the patch notes for consoles ya dingus. Tennogen round 8 was released within the Octavias Anthem update in may. Also, it seems that all tennogen items have been released with updates...not just magically appearing in the ps/xbox stores. Where did you even come with that? And you got me all excited about the possibility....

I love how I have to keep reminding people that there was no cert process the last few times they released tennogen. At all. Meaning that when they are released they will show up like the IRS shows up on your doorstep. There will be a quick update and it will be there. No cert to warn you. No cert to save you. Just a repo man at your front door ready to take your organs and your money.

I sure as heck hope you're right! However, I feel like I'm remembering differently than you...in the few recent console releases tennogen items have been a part of the patch notes....meaning they were part of a build that was sent to cert. When's the last time tennogen items were available on console without being a part of an update? Again, I hope you're right.

Console and PC get Tennogen together now.

Well, considering they JUST dropped a console update, I don't see them sending another build through certification just for tennogen. And when the items have been accepted on steam that means they are almost ready to release. This is why I think this round pc will get it soon then console will get it in the September build. And I HATE IT.

    here's to hoping I'm wrong

It probably means nothing but the round 9 item has been added to "accepted items" list, so maybe they will come this week ? We don't know.

That's great news actually. I would assume PC will get round 9 this week or next. Console may have to wait a bit.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO D:

Since DE typically releases one update per month on console, looks like we might not be getting tennogen round 9 until September...or *gasp* they wait and release round 9 and 10 together in October/November.  If they do that people riot.  Who knows what they are planning to do with the PC release..

The new Items are presumed to be released under a new contract that lets them release it instantly to consoles. While the old items are still under the old contract and are released to console now bit by bit instead of all at once

They never really talked about the legal side of it, but it used to be a thing that tennogen simply could not be released on consoles at all because of contracts with Valve/Steam.

If that's the case then that gives me hope for round 9 still being released relatively soon....I thought that like everything else on console, it had to be added with a major build update that goes through the certification process...do you mind me asking how you got this info?? Thanks

EDIT: Ok i am a dingus.  For some reason i was thinking when you said "release it instantly to consoles" i thought you were meaning that Tennogen items could be loaded into the console market without going through the console cert process.  you just meant that now all of the new tennogen items get released on all consoles simultaneously...Well, back to being sad, because no Tennogen round 9 items are being released for this console build and DE typically does 1 console update a month.  if we have to wait until September for this round of tennogen then that is pretty crappy.

Next console updates are currently in cert, so I guess they include the next Tennogen round for a simultaneous release on all platforms.

Except Danielle or Taylor confirmed that tennogen round 9 is NOT coming this console update that has gone to cert. I don't think they even have an eta which is very disappointing. Maybe we'll get round 10 before 9...at least there's news on round 10. They won't say squat about round 9 which is irritating

  11. Well, I was almost positive that all platforms would be getting round 9 with the next console update dropped, but looks like i was wrong.  next console update is in Cert and Danielle has confirmed no round 9.  devastating!!

  12. I don't know why i am just now figuring this out, but using Stalk (Huras) while using Atlas makes him perma invisible, allowing you to just hang out and Landslide the crap out of everything because warframe powers do not dispell the invisibility.  I know going for over an hour solo at MOT isnt that big of a feat for many players, but for me it is, and I was finally able to do it using my little Kubrow to make it so atlas can punch with ease.. Atlas's Landslide is immensely powerful and can kill everything in 1-5 hits even at levels 100-150. Just thought i'd throw this out there because Atlas does have a problem with staying alive at high levels, but this will keep him going almost indefinitely as long as you have the energy to keep punching.  Much more fun and effective (imo) than shadow step.

  13. Does anyone wish DE would implement other types of gore in this game besides just slash?  It's pretty fun slicing enemies apart with blades and the slash gore provides great feedback to the player that they are really rekking some shiz.  Then you have impact and puncture damage that basically has no gore effects at all...I know that it would be difficult to animate and portray someones head getting smashed with a Fraggor, but I think it would make things more exciting.  Imagine an impact based rifle blasting a hole though an enemy...  Same goes for puncture weapons.  at least apply the same gore effects as slash, but maybe less dramatic (no torso severing)? Seems weird to me that you hit someone with a boltace and they just fall limp.  Again, I know this would be hard to animate, but i think it would be really cool!

Does anyone know if DE is thinking about implementing any other gore effects besides slash?

I wouldn't know tbh, but also worth noting is that Atlas has a lot of armour. The damage reduction from armour increases the stagger threshold so that only stronger hits will stagger. The issue is with frames that don't have armour or other sources of damage reduction, which incidentally are the ones that need the mod the most to avoid being one shot beyond low levels.

You are correct.  Just tested this on multiple frames.  Even Excal who is middle of the road armor with maxed steel fiber started staggering all over the place from fire from 1 heavy gunner....Seems like QT is now only good for frames with high armor.

  15. 5 minutes ago, Tsukinoki said:

Isn't atlas immune to knockdowns and stagger while on the ground?  So the issues people are seeing wouldn't apply to him due to his passive.

true, but he still gets staggered by rockets and stuff.  just not small fire.

So, as of update 21 Quick Thinking causes constant lethal stagger locks from even weak sources of damage, including DoT effects.

At first glance this looks like a reversal of the fixes to Quick Thinking made in update 11 back in 2013. This when the Rage/QT combo was still really strong (for almost 2 years after), and when enemy levels in common missions where much, much lower.

The threshold for a stagger now appears to be as low as ~50 damage. Even a level 20 sapping osprey can stagger, and multiple overlapping sapping zones can mean certain death with no chance of escape.

In higher level missions surviving with low armour frames has become a matter of luck. A single unseen lowly trooper shooting through vegetation will stagger lock kill you. Vitals failing in JV results in stagger lock until death without a chance to acquire charges. The damage reduction from rolling and bullet jumping is no longer enough to prevent staggers.

This has honestly made the game almost unplayably frustrating with frames that aren't tanky or have strong defensive abilities. There are various frames that will get one shot by common enemies in the level 100 range, and now quick thinking mostly ensures that all energy will also be lost after having a very frustrating moment of complete helplessness.

If this change was intentional I don't understand the motivation. The game already suffers from a huge imbalance in EHP between different frames, and it's not like tanky/invisible etc. frames sacrifice something for the luxury, the list includes some of the all round strongest frames in the game. This just leaves squishy frames even further behind, while tanky frames still benefit from QT thanks to damage reduction preventing staggers.

This is definitely a step in the completely wrong direction. If this was a stealth nerf then I think we deserve an explanation and some clarity! If this is a bug then I think it should be fixed with the highest priority. Either way this is totally killing my enjoyment of the game. It's like having an ultra frustrating RNG death mechanic.

I'm aware that there is a thread where this topic is being discussed, however it did not specifically address the changes made in Update 21 and this causes a lot of confused arguing about separate issues.

So i havent tested with many frames, but I am not having issues with the extra staggering that you mentioned...I am on console, but i dont think that would make a difference since console is now on U21.  I wonder what the difference is here because everyone is complaining about it, but on my atlas i just stand there and take heavy gunner fire and when i go below 2 health i still dont stagger...hmmm
