Themed this more as a planet hopping, system wide adventure rather than a super-serial space shooter; I'm really hoping I've effectively communicated that with this edit. Noticed a few people have applied the technique of syncing the beats of audio with edits and action in the visuals,but I've seen less entries put in an effort of attempting to guide viewers eyes to the action to make each cut much less jarring, especially at 60fps. Mainly was aiming for a clean and tidy, easy to follow edit, ESPECIALLY for people unfamiliar with the game.
Regardless, still looking for feedback on this edit!

Don't get cocky over a simple contest please. No one should ever give their own opinion about their own edit, it is very impolite. Your video will be top 3 for sure, as it is clean, and understandable for beginners. Personally I dislike how slow it is, but that's the opinion of someone who is used to making and watching faster edits.
I dislike how much you put the tone to being the best, even before DE has released any kind of rankings for this contest.
Personally I'm quite proud of my own edit, but never will I say it is the best, as there is tons of videos out there, and even in this contest, that are way better than mine.
I'm not hating on you or anything, I'm just telling you that showing off like this, bragging and boasting about yourself, is never a good thing. It will cause a lot of people to hate you, while in fact the things you make are in no way bad.
Just trying to help you out, to prevent you from being hated. -

really creative to use gunsounds, but as I have edited to that same song, I noticed the sync is just a tad bit off most of the time, fix that, and you should have a golden entry! -

I dont think text is allowed, neither is the warframe logo to be sure, I would advice you change those things, other than that, it's not the best entry out there but it should be okay

FRAPS is okay, the quality is great but the file sizes are unwieldy; a few minutes of footage easily go over 4GB which later splits into a new file to write to while still recording. A bit nightmare-ish to organize, categorize and edit.
I've used Shadowplay (comes with Nvidia Geforce Experience), but made sure to set the quality as high as my Hard Drives are able to write at (For example, my footage HDD write speed is about 85 MB/s, so I set the video quality to right about 80 MB/s.)
I should have known this was possible long before I started recording my clips, why do I not know this? also, how do you check your write speed?

You don't have to be able to make good art to appreciate or critique others' work. And as an artist of any sort, you should learn to use critique of all kinds and build on your work, as long as they are valid, even if the person criticizing is trying to put you down.
You are right, but these people are paid for what they do, they have done long studies to do what they do, and they dohave the knoledge.... Noone should ever judge something they have no knowledge about, as they make themselves look like fools... Also that topic has been closed, and these were my last words regarding said topic

Tho, that end shot with excal was sick! rode along really nicely with the music and camerawork as an end frame.

initially, my edit was 3 minutes long, ended up having to cut out volt, ash, mag, zephyr, as well as some action shots of sonar banshee, valkyr breaking a spine, nova's back jet flaps detail, some saryn gestures, and a whole lot'a slowmos.
25s is shorter than what i imagine lolI know right? it's so short! I didn't have to cut off much, I just had to cut a lot of my raw footage so it wouldn't be too fast with a transition. I did record a bunch of gameplay I ended up scrapping cuz I didn't like how shaky it all was. I know your feeling bro.

Sorry to bust your bubble, but it's not DE's fault. some countries (like Spain, where I live and where I cannot win any of DE's contests) have more restrictive gambling laws that make giving a prize (and even worse when it's cash) a nightmare if the contest is hosted outside the same country. to add to that, Porphi could win this, but no one has heard from him since the start, except his video on how to do something plain related. I think people need to stop calling out for Porphi and look further than the tip of the noses. All this porphi will win talk, yet no one hears from him, maybe he's from one of the countries not permitted enter... Then what? Also I really felt like just quitting the contest when Steve pointed out they have already decided Porphi will win. and I wouldn't blam anyone else for feeling the same way. It is absolutely unheard of for a contest to have the final judges, judge on previous nonrelated performances, before the actual contest they are currently hosting has ended. It pisses me off that DE is this easy in just ignoring important questions regarding the contest, and making a final decision, even if it was only a joke, before the contest has ended.
for TL;DR:
Porphi might not even enter, Please stop saying he'll win, untill he has submitted an entry, we can't say he will win. Its like saying yeah that kiddo will be the next president, yet the kiddo still needs to be born.
You shouldn't defend DE too hard, as they have been very ignorant regarding any and all comments/questions and other types of communication in relation to this contest. No hate to DE but a little more input would make a world of difference for those experienced with editing. I asked a few questions at page 11 I believe, yet we have reached 33 already, and not a single response from DE.-

all I see here is someone who thinks warframe needs more unbalancing things, in all honesty: I want these changes too. But come on dude, why dont you just say buff everything and make the enemy weaker? It would save some hassle, and a whole bunch of typing. Honestly I dont think any of your buffs are viable for warframe. I dont think this would make warframe fun.... This would make the game waaaay to easy. want that? go play mario, or minecraft.
