Get a Latron Prime. Realise you are getting at least 5k more DPS out of it. Realise you can do crazy stuff with it.

get the amprex if u want limited conssisten procs to many enemies
since amprex doesnt have impact slash or puncture
they wont proc those physical damages
same status as grakata same fire rate and multiple arching enemies
but only 20 m range

im more scared about the corpus
the elementals are hard to mod against the corpus
and those moas are not that easy to hit and those oxium ospreys omg
they constantly shoot u the moas dont run for cover they shoot u instantly so its hard
i dont think u can hold ospreys in bastilee

Mate. Lighten up. Thinking it's a thing to 'confront' people over a difference in opinion, and generalising people who don't agree with you doesn't earn you any Vastaren Cookies.
I'm not disagreeing with you that the Soma has a higher damage potential than the Grakata. But when you openly insult people for personal preference and opinions on what constitutes 'better' without clarifying the context (hint: it's probably not damage to them as it is to you) then all you're doing is proving to others how unpleasant you can be.
That's just a problem I have with these threads. Yes, there might be a majority consensus, but goddamn does it bring out the ad hominem ridiculously quickly when people fail to realise that 'powerful' given without clarification as to DPS can be just as appropriate an interpretation if others respond based on other criteria. Please distinguish numbers and opinions.

like seriosly ive confronted people passionately saying grakata better
heres why they think
grakata crit wep
has more base damage than soma
and has more fire rate
they always forget the fact that grakata has 2.0x dmg multiplier while soma has 3.0x

i hear so many people say grakata better than soma
u re forgetting the 6.6 x dmg multiplier on the soma and has more crit chance than grakata
ive never had to use ammo mutation even if i press down the trigger as if the worlds ending

boltor beats soma has more elemental options and higher damage
soma is hitscan and more accurate
u will miss quite a few shots when trying to hita moving target with the boltor prime
and boltor prime with speed trigger equals insane dps capabilities
its a bolt weapon

It is likely the mot hated but not for good reason
It really shines on corpus and on orokin that arent heavy gunners
Against infested its only rivaled by electricity
Against grineer it sadly meets it match and falls
gas sucks against corpus thats why u dont go magnetic gas u go magnetic toxin or magnetic heat
gas gets -50 % dmg on grineer flesh and -25% dmg on corpus flesh
it adds +75% dmg on infested and +50% dmg on flesh

blessing now grants added damage reduction when timed correctly u can link, angstrum ur self and csat blessing for over 80 or even 90 perceent damage reduction
