  1. I believe every offensive precept has 2 hidden values, one governing the range of the sentinel, the other governing how fast it will acquire a new target.

For other sentinels, the second value is around 650-750ms, but for Helios, it takes 10x longer. It stays idle for around 7 seconds, doing nothing.

  2. This reply is also pending.

edit: Sortie changes are great. Wish you had increased the Riven% instead of total Endo% with the leftovers though. Boosters have returned properly, but why isn't resource booster among them? Only affinity, credit and drop chance boosters are in there.

Also, is Neptune still bugged? I was checking the mission files, I noticed that the old Index nodes has been converted to normal nodes (used to be event nodes). But they are inaccessible, and as such, extractors cannot be deployed on there.

And lastly, I am guessing that they are going to remove Derelict Keys. Getting it linked to Eris or something, and make it function more like the Void, so to speak. On one of the recent changes, Derelict nodes started to be counted for the solar map progress, turned into an "explorable" area in a way, and contributes to solar map progress. Perhaps we are going to get the infested frame from there? Dunno, we'll see I guess.

Overall, so many fixes, and I wouldn't mind having a few patches like these rather than content drops to be honest, because there are a lot of stuff to fix properly and not just apply a workaround...

  3. First and foremost, one of the biggest problems is that the Invasion loot tables do not include all of the weapons. For example, Sheev, Gorgon Wraith, Furax Wraith, Vulkar Wraith; these four weapons are not in there. The first one, Sheev was featured in a Sortie, and others were probably going to be sortie season rewards in the future, yet none of them are in there.

It looked good at first, but the more you look at the grand picture, the worse it gets. For example, the invasion (with a weapon part) may start & finish while you aren't able to play. The last one was finished within 8 hours. Also, the chances of one spawning with a weapon part is entirely up to RNG, completely random. On top of that, they don't follow a weapon theme. Corpus weapons may look like it is following a theme, but it is because there are only 2 Vandal weapons - when you take a look at the Wraith weapons, all is mixed up. The chances are not even 25% as stated in the patch notes - weapon parts are of uncommon quality in the loot tables, and their total is around 22%.

I made a spreadsheet, dumped all the invasions spawned since TWW on one table to see a clearer picture (apply Corpus & Grineer from the filter view). Since TWW, there has been 41 Corpus & Grineer Invasions, and only 5 of them has paid with a weapon part. That is around 12.2% so far (but it is a small sample size - so the error rate is rather high - hence the deviation from 22%). Same part hasn't been offered twice yet, but the system makes it possible for duplicate parts to be offered. As said above, these invasions don't follow a theme, and as Corpus offers parts for only 2 weapons, rewards seem consistent. But on Grineer side, it is a mixed up bag so far, as Grineer offers 4 weapons in comparison. Maybe this is one of the reasons why they kept the amount of weapons low, because otherwise it would've been 3 weapons for Corpus vs 8 weapons for Grineer, making the offered parts even more inconsistent.

Another thing is, occurrence of these Invasions is around one per day, on average. It has been a little bit more than 35 days since TWW arrived, and only 41 Invasions have been finished. In other words, around 1.17 Corpus / Grineer invasions happen every day. For invasions that reward you with a weapon part, the average is 1 part per week. In best case scenario, from the samples / data gathered so far, you'll get to finish a weapon in around 28 days. Since 6 weapons are offered via them, it'll take 168 days to get all of the weapons. The worst case scenario, you'll never get to finish even a single weapon, becausesuch invasion may not spawn at all, or may have the same weapon part as the offered reward over and over, or simply, you'll miss every one of them, because you weren't able to play when it was happening (and this is very possible as the last invasion with a weapon part only lasted 8 hours).

There are more flaws in this system, more than sorties offering these weapon parts as rewards. With sorties, you were at least guaranteed to get a weapon set either by your own luck or via trade, because one weapon was featured in the sortie season, and everyone had their own luck to get a part. However, trade is not viable and won't be viable for a long time for the current system, because it globalizes everything and stands on the opposite side of the sortie system, in a way.

    So I'd suggest these:

First of all, make Infested Outbreaks and Phorid Manifestation also have a chance to offer you with weapon parts. One thing I don't understand is, how can the system offer you with Detonite Injectors or Fieldrons since they are not in the "vs Infested Invasion" loot table. So what I assume is, they can also offer you something from the other tables, but for some reason, it can never be anything else than the common rewards from those tables. I'm saying this, because since TWW got launched, 389 Infested "Invasions" has happened, and none of them have anything else than the vs Infested rewards, and the common rewards from Grineer & Corpus. And if you go back further, it is the case for forever. So it is either a bug, or a restriction put there on intention. If these two; if Infested Outbreaks and Phorid Manifestations used two tables fully instead of just using one fully and the other one partially, weapon parts wouldn't be a rare sight, and the flaws in the system wouldn't be a big problem.

Secondly, a bit obvious but, the weapons that are not in these tables, either make them return with Baro, or put them in the tables. Putting them in will bloat the loot tables (well, Grineer table, to be specific) but if the first suggestion is also implemented, it will lessen the (bad) impact of this suggestion. A better suggestion would be making some of these missing weapons return with Baro, while putting some others to the loot tables.

    TL;DR: in bold

Fair enough. My earlier post was more directed towards demands for an extra new location or new display mechanisms and such.

But tieing up resources for more founder stuff like display mechanics are not a good idea when resources are so thin.

Nah, no no. I wouldn't want anything like that. As I've said in the OP, it's the way this is handled got pisses me off.

    • Need a way to get Riven mods outside sorties...
    • Not happy with 20 plat per riven slot cost. It certainly is not a database storage issue, and database retrieval issues can be ironed out... so that leaves greed as the reason.
    • Riven cycle cap is good.
    • Replacing Rifle Riven Mods with Secondary & Shotgun Rivens is bad.

well to be fair only a minority of the founders [the forum vocal ones] are making any noise on it

if the majority goes "meh dont care" and a small portion makes a big deal about it

then you get mixed interpretation of if its important or not to founders in general

now with that , they have brought up in dev streams before on compensating for unforseen changes and development to founders if memory serve

Forum vocal ones are probably even more rate. I know around 7 other grandmasters, and only I'm on the forums. We rage day and night about stuff though - not necessarily this, but we all are unhappy about this. I don't consider myself as a vocal dude to be honest - I just point stuff out from time to time on the forums and on the reddit.

Grand masters, thank you all for your prior contributions that allowed DE to develop Warframe into the game & community it is today

I will be watching this thread and hope you all are respectfully compensated in some way

It wasn't just us, it was all the players who were with the game back then. And I mean all, not just the ones that have forked some money over. But thank you

  6. Still nothing. And probably nothing will change.

We're a minority, and probably most of the Grandmasters have moved to other games so it's a "politically correct time" to forget about them altogether. And whatever we say, we'll just end up buried under other posts in no time and probably will never get heard.

  7. Overlay Map got broken with TWW. No patch notes state anything related to Overlay Map. And 17 patches later, still nothing on it. It is not a small thing to miss either; you press a button and your entire screen is covered with it.

It got scaled up by 100%, and as the anchor of it didn't get repositioned, the center of the map (the player icon) got pushed to the side. Not to mention that it covers the entire screen most of the time. Or that it is literally unusable on non-traditional high resolutions...

  8. edit: Hotfix inbound :)

Title. It doesn't apply any buff to anyone, and becomes unusable after the first try, saying "Power In Use"

I've been trying to troubleshoot the problem somewhat to see what it might be.

It seems to not be working the moment there is more than 1 player with you. No matter if you're the host or not. However, it DOES work in solo missions. I don't know if this information helps at all but that's what I've found out. When it says "power in use" and you go jump off the map to reset any abilities it does become castable again but the same problem arises. No shooting gallery and it saying it's in use.

It also doesn't seem to be because of Energy Conversion or Secondary weapons with a syndicate proc or a syndicate mod for the Furis. So the type of secondary or the mods that go in them do not seem to cause the problem.

  9. What about bugs? Or the problems they only put a workaround to solve the issue, but never fixed it really?

Do you know why melee charge attack does a normal swing before the charge attack itself? It is a workaround they put to fix their broken combo system. (charge attacks and combos worked fine for gunblades & thrown melee weapons, they broke the combo system in the Second Dream while adding charge attacks back to all melee weapons, and their fix was to force a normal swing before a charge one)

Or that Helios takes 10x longer to acquire a new target? (which makes me think that it is an extra 0 added to its target acquisition timer by mistake)

etc... I can keep going on.

Added Lotus tutorial transmissions to Spy missions, Survival missions, and Void Fissure missions. Fun fact: there is an option in your in-game Audio settings titled ‘Enable Hint Transmissions’ (previously was ‘Enable Tutorial Transmission’). Enabling this will give you those Lotus ‘help’ transmissions that play throughout the mission, and disabling it prevents them from playing.

What does this mean exactly? Lotus won't be talking about useless stuff which we've heard hundreds of times you mean?

If that is not the case, how about an option to mute all but necessary, "Vital Lotus Transmissions"? Like running out of life support, hack complete, move to extraction... Rest are really unnecessary when you do a mission type a few types.

I really wanted to just write off this thread as 'the sky is falling' but honestly not being able to disable it is a huge problem.

I think the only reason why we cannot disable it is directly related to how it works. Currently, it works only for the game login attempts. It doesn't work on the Website (and thus on the Forums & Support page as well). If they make 2FA cover the entire account (by which I mean game + rest), they can allow people to disable it at will. Or, they can change it in a way where the disabling is an option, but when you click it you need to enter a 2FA code first.

But as it stands, with the current system, if someone knew your credentials, they could go to the account management and disable it, and then proceed to the game - if disabling was an option. I understand their point; why we cannot disable it, but not warning people that it cannot be disabled, or giving contradictory information about other things related to it is a bad thing. Moreover, they don't collect any personal information, and the security questions they ask are not really security questions, if they were collecting proper personal information, they could disable it via support in my opinion.

They need to expand the system a little bit more and it'll become an option though. At least I hope so, because Warframe is the only thing that I need to move, and then I'll be free to close down that gmail account as it'll serve no purpose to me, since I've created another gmail account long time ago. Features that are there to protect your account cannot/shouldn't be in "Beta".

Hm funny :o) (not for you I guess) I like the bigger scaling on a 19" 16:9 1080p. No clue how this works out on bigger or smaller screens.

I'm playing on a TV, and I like my icons big. But it should obey the UI Scale and Margin values. Not everyone would like them this big, or this far away. If it needs to be one fixed thing instead of adjustable, then I'd rather have the old map since it is what we all got used to.

On a side thing though, on multi-monitor setups, or 4k resolution I believe, overlay map is completely unusable as it is completely out of screen bounds.

  13. TWW scaled the overlay map UI up by 100%, making it near unusuable. All this is because while it got scaled up, it didn't get repositioned, still having the anchor at the same place. The result is, center of the overlay map getting pushed to the edge of the screen. Moreover, higher resolutions get impacted by this as the overlay map gets pushed out of screen bounds.

Here is a long post on the matter:
