it's normal when you go from console to another platform to do it. The only one that seems to truly log you out is exit game from pc as on psn you can only close game by using the option button unless there's another way to close it.

I mean if it was a clone, should be able to link a new pc account because those without pc accounts it nukes that one for the merge. Any linked are fresh secondaries with nothing kept. The Xbox one is unique so yeah I would think it could if before and more than likely merge. Again they should find a way to after normal links and merges happen to let you. You're just wanting the same streamline as others. People aren't cheating it, just want the unification because you probably play more in your case on Xbox now.

I got friends and relatives that have traveled and still need to merge their stuff too coming up. It all comes down really to accessibility for people. Some positions people will keep playing on switch, but DE probably has seen that people in some cases either change location due to financial or other situations or platforms they can't access or want to change primary access due to different situations. I see more migrating from switch because they can do more with different platforms but STILL want to retain progress and have the option to go back and forth. It makes it far easier to use some platforms over it and for now that's true. There are some issues on switch currently like kubrow patterns breaking since whispers on the wall.

I merged mine but still play on switch simply from the portability. It's just nicer progress can be moved where ever I am well in theory. I haven't played outside my home yet and if I ever start traveling again I hope to be able to anywhere and there's probably more every day that do already.

Maybe they should change the policy after normal people merge. A lot of you were play testers and in a sense founders of the switch frontier and should have a way to merge. Do a pc link first somehow then a normal merge. The fact plat is locked that way does trap a lot of people if that volume of player base IS going to decline.

Your answer's in the post. They said previously any merging prior they wouldn't be able to do again because of the existence of copies of the account or something like it. All you can do is link to other platforms sort of like that. It'd probably have to be a special case to try and merge yours, but if they have issues with account copies you just aren't going to be able to do that. You could just link that switch one to a new pc one later probably or separate xbox account. Like you said, you'll need to have a dev say something on it. That xbox same story, it'd have to merge with others that can or link to new ones.

Cross-Trade Platinum bought on NSW
dabphoegryph replied to Qui-Les's topic in Cross Platform Save Feedback
It's out of their control. It's nintendo not playing ball with the other consoles when DE did what they could. Have to wait and see if nintendo allows it later. -
Whichever is the primary all the progress is saved for that one in a merge. You only keep items, frames, resources on secondaries. Weapons and mr related xp will be gotten directly from secondary stuff. You keep slots except open riven slots from secondaries. 1. When it's open and if your accounts were made before the cutoff date, log into the warframe website for their switch first or whatever platform is their primary. 2. It will ask you after logging in that and clicking on cross save if you have a pc account if you are eligible to merge. If you haven't made a pc account it will tell you to do so now. 3. Follow it to make a username etc, what email. It is ok, as you will still get to merge other platforms to your cross save. Or if you have a pc account already for them, you'd log that one in after the switch one and it will show both the switch and pc account. You will get to compare names, login day amounts. 4.. PICK SWITCH AS PRIMARY next. Then you accept. Any other platforms made before cutoff can be merged to that cross save like ps4/5 or xbox 1/X. Just one of each. If after date, can only link. Be advised any linked platforms lose all progress, items as primary overwrites. In your case, ALWAYS PICK SWITCH if you merge or link others if that is your main. Usually it auto picks it if the others can only be linked, you get a choice if merged. You can still link and merge other platform for your partner say if they have psn or xbox before cut off date or do a new one to link to. Just remember to NOT merge both of your own accounts. Do each of yours separate. Sometimes use different browsers to do it when you deal with a loved one also doing it or from their own pc. Unless you clear warframe and nintendo cookies you could mess up the other's cross save.

Make sure date and time is synced and accurate. The same can happen on switch or other consoles if you don't do that. Once date and time are right it will work fine.

You pick which one is the primary, the Xbox or PSN but remember exclusive skins on the one not primary will be destroyed on the merge and can't transfer. Once you have a merge, you can play on any platform you link to so that merged account can be used on many not just psn, xbox or steam or mobile or switch.

TennoGen and Cross Platform Save
dabphoegryph replied to [DE]Taylor's topic in TennoGen + Steam Workshop
I think switch primary accounts will be fine to trade with normally. You just can't trade for plat from other platforms as their primary. The switch market itself won't change too much except items will be much easier to get if you just trade items between one another. You can still trade parts with anyone, but when it comes to platinum it's stuck solely on switch. Which means it might have been nintendo saying no to cross trading the currency. The other platforms can freely exchange plat but for the meantime switch primary account people will have the plat only stay between switch people. -
TennoGen and Cross Platform Save
dabphoegryph replied to [DE]Taylor's topic in TennoGen + Steam Workshop
From reading much of this I think people have some confusion between cross save and merging. Merging applies that you would combine accounts into 1. With the cutoff date that one time get everything before that date all on that one account to transfer over. So whichever is the primary, you retain all the good stuff, but if you got console exclusive stuff from switch, xbox or playstaton and you're moving to pc, the merge will destroy those items from that account and they aren't coming back. To cross save I don't think that is a requirement Cross save is simply playing on a different platform and for whatever reason, whatever the primary platform the account originated from would make sense on future tennogen would be locked into that platform if you logged into it along with the exclusive skins from other platforms. You would be able to access them again playing on the respective platforms. You'd still access old tennogen before the cut off day as items before then for tennogen sound like they will be fine. Just future purchases made are locked to the designated platforms going forward so if you mainly log in on pc, but then play on xbox with that account but don't merge them, you can probably keep all the xbox items as long as you play on xbox and can access them. Logging back in on pc probably hides them. Overall it seems a lot of work on the back if it's needed for every account to be able to be played from anywhere with how many different platforms there are. More than likely it might seem like double dipping on future purchases but it does make the tennogen makers money by not having it universal. All fronts still make money that way if you can bounce between platforms and buy stuff and it's locked. The switch plat is the interesting part since that can't go anywhere but switch but it's understandable. This is why I wouldn't merge and keep my accounts where they are. If I plan on streaming I like playing between pc and the other platforms how they are but it's nice others can go where they want. What worries me is the trading part. I wouldn't want to cross trade if it's possible that in order to do so might destroy other accounts. I hope there's a Q and A later on that one too.
