  1. although you'd never notice the difference between a game at 60 FPS and one at 1000FPS.)

You're wrong. I can notice the difference and I can approximately tell you the current number of FPS at a given moment.

Playing FPS games for years and spending hours tweaking the configs to get the best framerate grants you this ancient power.

  2. Ash only needs "stealth" because there has to be an illusion of choice - Loki vs. Ash

Loki max invisibility duration is much longer (33,8s vs 22,6s), his decoy benefits from duration mods as well.

On the other hand, Ash's other abilities do not benefit from duration at all. This means that if you mod him for duration, he loses his main powers which are supposed to be offensive. Have you ever see someone use invis Ash in pubs? No, everyone wants a dude that can effortlessly kill enemies in insane range with huge damage.

  3. Tinfoil hat mode:

    ACTIVATED

There's strong evidence that people who have hundreds of Void Tower keys stored in their inventories have lower chances of getting new prime parts.

I've noticed that whenever I join someone who's sharing dozens of keys for quick missions such as capture, mobile defense or exterminate we never get the part we want.

On the other hand, when I join someone who has 2-3 freshly farmed keys we get the thing we want pretty much always.

    This can't be a coincidence.

  4. It's not like we have founders packs, or several exclusive weapons or anything. That would just be silly. I mean, next you're going to be saying that Warframe's PC players get updates over a month early, or that we're the primary player base for it. Don't be ridiculous. That's not true AT ALL, guys. Not true at all.

Founder packs are no longer available. Exclusive weapons from events are no longer available for new players. Even if they re-released them every platform would get them as well.

I don't recall getting exclusive deals on bundles with platinum and skins (obsidian and jade) for PC.

  5. you can grow up now.

like any other Developer, any released version is tested. you'll always miss things (or see things from a different angle). that's how it works.

or you can stick your foot in your mouth with your lack of back knowledge as to what you're talking about.

any game you might reference that you think is 'perfect', could be taken apart in a few hours with tons of problems that were still around.

I wonder how they missed the bugs that came with excalibur's new 4th power. 4 different patches to finally fix one ability.

And what's more, these bugs were not minor bugs, mind you.

This is not the only instance of DE not testing their content at all. Rembember new UI problems preventing people from joining games? (U14) Remember archwing? I am confused how anyone can defend DE after their history with every new content update.

  6. Almost everytime I log in to Warframe after 2-3 days I get a 75% off on my next purchase... This is like, my 7th or 8th within this month of June? I'm not sure. And on those times, not once have I purchased...

Same thing happens to me all the time. Not logging in for a few days always results in this "welcome back gift" as I like to call it.

However, I always end up buying nothing because I have plenty of plat and there's nothing interesting to spend it on.

  7. Slightly back on topic:

Finally, every update breaks almost as much as it fixes.  This is a bold statement, but I'm willing to support it.  You have a screwed up build on Wednesday, push it back to Thursday, and then release a patch at the end of business day Friday.  Over the weekend players get to figure out that they suddenly fall through the levels, are instantly murdered by enemies because you broke one of the powers, or better yet some enemies are suddenly invincible.  That little string of problems was present in the last month's batch of updating.  This weekend bombards have made Zephyr capable of being one shot killed at level 20 (them at 20, Zephyr at 30 with max redirect and vitality).  The Elytron suddenly lost the ability to use thumper.  Certain enemies in archwing couldn't be melee killed, and the Corpus gas reclamation tile set was permeable for spawning players.  This stream of bugs is becoming more and more difficult to accept, and it seems to be because multiple builds are being fused together to create a release.  Your own developer stream highlighted this issue, and it's making the game unplayable.  The recent release from WB should tell you that consumers will stop giving you money if the product they get is shoddy.

Another perfect example is a recent release of a revamped excalibur. It took DE 4 updates to fix his new ultimate which was so hyped in devstreams and on forums.

Update 16.9.0 (Jun 17 2015 11:50 PM) - new excalibur added into the game

18 minutes later we get a major bug fix (18 June 2015 - 01:08 AM)

*Fixed Excalibur's Exalted Blade not inheriting any melee mods. This fix now allows the damage of Exalted Blade attacks to scale based on the mods of your Melee weapon.

one day passes (Posted 19 June 2015 - 08:02 PM) and we get another critical update:

*Fixed Excalibur’s Exalted Blade copying melee Stance Mods, which would break functionality of the Ability.
*Fixed an issue causing Excalibur’s Exalted Blade to not properly release energy waves.

one day passes (Posted 20 June 2015 - 02:17 AM)and we get another update

*Fixed damage from Exalted Blade’s energy waves not scaling properly with Mods.
*Fixed the some cases of Exalted Blade not appearing when activated when used with certain melee weapons.
*Fixed some cases of Exalted Blade use not allowing players to melee attack when activated or deactivated.
*Fixed Exalted Blade’s energy waves not getting a damage buff from Channeling or applying unique Mod effects (such as Life Strike).
*Fixed an issue with Exalted Blade damage not being correct on Clients.

two days pass (Posted 22 June 2015 - 10:04 PM)and we get yet another update:

*Fixed Exalted Blade’s energy waves not receiving a boost from damage Mods when used by Clients.
*Fixed Exalted Blade’s energy wave not benefiting from channeling buffs.
*Fixed Clients using Exalted Blade not gaining benefits from Syndicate Mods.

I think this is ridiculous and I fail to understand how is it possible to release somthing this big (excalibur being warframe's poster boy and such) with so many bugs. A cook tastes their dish before serving it, a director watches their movie before presenting it to public - they all do this to not disappoint their customers and achieve maximum profits. Why doesn't DE do this? Because they can just release a new shiny skin and people will forgive them everything. Everything is about maximising income now and I can't really blame DE for that. However, it will definitely have a negative impact on the game and the playerbase.

Older players are getting bored and no longer invest in platinum, new players join only to be discouraged by the grind and the level of difficulty and the rest are farming mastery in Draco because that's the only thing left to do for them.

  8. I kinda understand OP's point of view.

I've been playing Warframe for 2 years and 2 months now and for me there is not enough content to keep me entertained for longer than 30 minutes or so.

For a new player there is a great deal of things to do but for a person who has done pretty much everything there is not enough content.

All warframes and weapons - check. (Many of them formaed multiple times)

All items from all 6 syndicates and maxed out rep with 3 of them - check.

Maxed out symaris rep - check.

All mods (except ridiculous ones like four riders) - check.

    All archwing content - check.

    All boss sigils - check.

Codex - I've given up on that since it's bugged for me and despite scanning rare infested crawlers they don't count in the codex. I don't know if it's been fixed since then but I don't feel like hunting for them again.

    PvP - hate it.

Farming crafting materials: I farmed 1500 rares (including neural sensors and orokin cells) and millions of other resources during the Kubrow week event so I'm set for life.

Raid - effort vs rewards makes it not worth doing at all.

Helping out new players clear the star chart or farm mats isn't really my thing so I am left with nothing.

Any new minor update keeps me entertained for one to two days tops and I'm back to square one.

This post might seem a bit bitter but don't get me wrong - I do like Warframe. I like its visuals, art style and gameplay but once you reach a certain point you have nothing to do.

  9. Would it be possible to remove weapons from our backs and make them appear with a flashy animation of some sort?

Carrying them on our backs causes many clipping issues with syandanas or even warframes themselves.

(all credit for this question and idea goes to forum user _Rue_ who started this thread

    https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/478450-what-if-we-removed-weapons-from-our-back/

many people seem to agree with this idea)

  10. MR19 here and I only tried to do a raid once. It was a disaster and I will probably never do it again.

I knew right from the start that raids are going to be a complete failure in a game that was, is and should always be about "pick a dude and a gun that you like and wreak some havoc with your friends or random people or SOLO."

Instead, we got a weird map that forces you to follow certain procedures and drastically limits your choice of gear. Any other mission type in Warframe lets you choose whatever you want and in result you will be able to do just fine. Raids are about avoiding enemies, not killing them like in every other mission in the game.

Secondly, (at least for me) it is incredibly hard to find and communicate with 7 random people from recruiting to run a successful raid.

Thirdly: the rewards are a joke. Enchantments are weak and DE just laughs at their playerbase with "we don't want the cosmetics to affect gameplay in any way". As for credits, there are far better ways of farming them (and you get prime parts at the same time).

Also, this is my fault only but I don't want to sit there watching 30 minute long explanatory videos or read long guides explaining how to do the raid only to be shouted at by a random person that I am doing something in a wrong way.
