  1. It's one thing to say "I'm easily distracted and missed the deadline. Bummer, oh well, I'll try to pay attention next time. Another thing is to say "Hey, DE! I'm sorry, I know you must have warned us in some way but I didn't see any warnings still. Could you consider making the event end more visible than it currently is, if at all possible?" And yet entirely another thing to say "Hey DE. Missed the deadline because you didn't warn people! It's your fault I missed it for lack of prior warning, and this really really sucks!". Yeah, no wonder if the first thought is to put the responsability of personal organization onto others. Sometimes the best lessons come from acknowledging our mistakes. Still, I'm sure next time it won't happen. I wouldn't forget the pain of losing out on them dear potatoes. Specially if I was new-ish at the game.
  2. You choose the PS account as your primary. Whatever little stuff you have on your PC account will be added to your PS/new-multiplatform account and you'll be able to access it in any platform of your choosing. Including PC.
  3. Just imagine you manage to merge with the banned acount, and the ban comes with it. And now you're right where you were after the first ban. I'd laugh a ton. All I'll say is: Accounts are banned for a reason. Even if you were able to circumvent the ban through account merge I'd just consider it grounds for a fresh new ban.
  4. Concrete boy not even out the gate and already outdated and in need of a touch-up, eh? I'll just wait to actually use him before laying judgement. I get that his abilities were not doing big numbers during the preview, but I wouldn't expect much from a barely built frame against lvl100+ Heavy Gunners.
  5. Yeah, I'm curious about this as well. Specially the Helminth and subsumed frames between accounts.
  6. Yeah, I'm guessing non-founder players might be looking at a 2024 release for this. Whispers release date will be announced at Game Awards, so Founder Cross Save is at the very earliest December 7, and if they pull a surprise release at TGA, which is unlikely. I'd wager Whispers will come between 12 and 19 December. And by these dates I'd assume it'll be time to stop any meaningful development for DE to go to their families during the holiday. Might be dead wrong, but atm I'm only expecting it for early 2024.
  7. Just an addition: I guarantee, 110%, that even if DE had set the Plague Star Shop to end a period of time (a day, week, month, doesn't matter) after the event itself ends there'd still be someone complaining about not having enough time to claim their rewards. Not necessarily OP, but someone. Absolutely guaranteed. And then there'd be preaching to leave the store perpetually open so people can spend their points whenever. And at that point people would show up complaining that the event store should be closed since there's no point in it and it irks them seeing the forma up for grabs but no way to get it. Also absolutely guaranteed. This is the way - with this community, at the very least. At some point even DE has to bite the bullet and decide that some issues can't possibly be truly solved in any way, and that some people will just have to deal with it.
  8. I think what new players need is more simplicity, more system-wide streamlining. This seems the opposite. I agree that we should have a way to upgrade shards, but that's about it. I certainly don't agree to them being tradable as they currently stand.
  9. Yass, looking forward to that cross save tea. And the Umbral Forma, was needing one lmao. Keep on doing great!
  10. I'd assume if such a thing were to happen, it would be the opposite. Console players would have to access Steam and purchase with real currency from there. And no matter how we slice it, there aren't many ways to make sure we get the best deal possible AND creators are protected. Someone has to get the short end of it, and it won't be the creators. Specially because if the creators end up with the short stick, we all end up with the short stick in the long run.
  11. Warframe pretty much needs a Wiki up and running, and being constantly being maintained by its players. However I do not personally contribute to that, so my opinion is just merely what it is. If the good playerbase tending and upkeeping the wiki think a new and better fandom would be worth it, I'd be all up for it. We all have something to win from it. I have also seen the increasing complaints about the ads, which thankfully I don't notice due to using mostly my pc to search the wiki and having an adblock. But it's still a very valid concern. I guess the biggest downside would be migrating all those years of knowledge to the new database, and making it the primary search option for more casual players unaware of the change up and its reasons.
  12. A good metric on how good DE are progressing as a company is when most complaints are like this one. Kinda like a parent being proud if their children's biggest complaints are not having the latest smartphone/trend instead of not having food on the table. Not perfect by any metric, and I do have my share of complaints both past and present, but there's a lot of drama to go around for the smallest stuff. Still, to be fair, I would not be opposed to only having the suffix on the profile, and hiding it from the other spots (I.e. during missions and the like). It's not like it's need for anything else than to tell "our friend" apart from "a random" on very niche occasions. Me'thinks.
  13. While I agree that there are plenty of frames, to say DE should simply stop making them isn't reasonable. It's in the name of the game, it's one of the things keeping the game fresh, along with all new content. This is a live service game. While I also agree that DE should focus on maintaining the game and most old systems, which they actually do, to simply stop pumping out new content would be a suicide move. With the massive amount of content the game already has (and not even counting retired content) it still tends to become boring after a while for veterans. For plenty of reasons related to the game's structure, which is normal. It's just the way it is, I'm afraid.
  14. On a semi-separate note, I'd like to also share how cool it was seeing them announce the "pay-to-skip" feature, and then Rebb immediately paying attention to the comments and reading the massive amount of "nope", and then rethinking the whole thing live. That's always a good sign, regardless of where one might approach this subject. And one that despite some major mistakes (Heirloom *cough* *cough*) still has me hopeful for this game's direction. That said, I stand by my original point in this thread. Sometime we'll have to address the huge size of the game, and how to have newer players (the life blood of any live service) be able to partake into "the cool new toy" without having to invest hundreds of hours first. Specially since those hundred hours only get larger with each update. That's about it for me. Looking to see how DE will creatively tackle this very complicated issue without resorting to polarizing strategies, regardless of good intentions.
  15. As someone who mentored several people, I feel DE's logic in my bones. I'm not sure about involving plat in it, but there's definetly a need to fast track progress for new players to the latest content. The game just keeps getting larger and longer, which is natural given its live service status, and this is a matter of "when", not "if". Regardless of being for or against it. I'm in unless a better option presents itself.
  16. So, dear DE. Anything about crossave account merge for accounts sharing the same e-mail, as originally planned? If not, is it safe to have 2 accounts with the same e-mail? Should I change the e-mail in my secondary account to be safe? Congrats for the Dagath update. Superb QoL, love it, keep 'em coming.
  17. I kinda agree with increasing the number, if it ends up having the same overall effect and power as it currently is (but a bit more cc and power fantasy) and if no nerfs result of such a change.
  18. That's very good. Kudos for non predatory actions.
  19. I can confirm this. Connected to my PS5 from my PC via Remote Play, game says it has the latest version installed. But when launching the Warframe interface says "Please make sure you have the latest version". The Grendel Prime packages are already on display as well. On another note my PC account updated correctly and with no issues whatsoever, which is at least nice. Edit: All working fine now, and update downloading! Thanks for the quick fix, DE! :D
  20. Tbh I wouldn't personally say no to this, even if such an idea would likely have some hefty limitations in place. We are already quite OP as it stands, and imo as it should be. At the end of the day I find it very unlikely, regardless of my personal oppinion on this matter.
  21. Not possible at the moment, but incoming. Tests for cross save are set to begin later this year, with some needed changes for them being applied with the upcoming update (Abyss of Dagath, on October 18th). And also on that update you'll be able to join clans of other platforms, which is nice. It will happen gradually, like with crossplay.
  22. I'd also like that. And this trailer was superb. I had assumed they skipped Gauss because he'd be a better seller for holiday season, but of course Grendel would be a a great choice for a Halloween-themed release, along with Dagath herself. Helps keep the things in the seasonal spirit.
  23. If Saita Prime was made then it's just a matter of time until Commodore also comes for Drifter. On this matter DE did mention it's a rather complicated process and has to be done gradually, due to the proportion differences between Operator and Drifter. Better late than never, I guess.
  24. Not my cup of tea, since I've always disliked any kind of gyro interactions like this since the PS3 Sixaxis days, but it does look like a good option for those who appreciate it.
