So if I'm understanding this right, Iron Staff won't actually activate the set bonus, nor benefit from it, even if it's equipped on the deconstructor and not on it itself?

    From the wiki:

While Set Mods can be equipped on Exalted Weapons, they will not contribute to nor benefit from set bonuses, but the regular effect of the mod will still apply. This also applies to Venari.

    • The Sacrificial Set is an exception to this.
    • The Vilgilante Set and Gladiator Set can still apply if equipped on Warframe, Primary, Melee, or Robotic Weapons, and not on the Exalted Weapon itself.

...Hmmm...  Apparently I had it wrong.  Iron Staff DOES get the +10% bonus.

What about equipping set mods into your non-exalted melee weapon? Will that work with your exalted melee weapon equipped?

The set bonus will apply to any equipment which that stat can be applied to.  The mod's main effect only applies to the equipment where the mod is located.

For example, let's equip a copy of Gladiator Vice (+30% attack speed) to a Fragor, a Deconstructor, and your Iron Staff.

Fragor will have +30% Attack speed, and +10% critical chance per combo multiplier.

Deconstructor will have +30% Attack speed, and +10% critical chance per combo multiplier.  (The set bonus counts only once for Vice)

Iron Staff will have +30% Attack speed, and ZERO critical chance per combo multiplier. Set bonuses do not apply to Exalted weapons.

  3. -- Equipping a Set mod to Helios / Deconstructor will count that mod toward that set bonus.  Only one mod of each name will count, so equipping the same mod to Deconstructor and your melee will only count one.

-- Set mods equipped to Exalted weapons do NOT count as equipping that mod in the set (unless it's also equipped elsewhere), and its' bonus will not apply.  The normal effect of the mod will still apply to the Exalted weapon.

  4. Happy Holidays DE!  Hope you're being merry.  I've got a few bugs to report for ya, hopefully they can be worked on when you get back.

-- Lens flares!  They look awesome.  The best way to make that forward artillery look more awesome?  LENZ FLEARZ...  However, it seems that firing the Forward Artillery causes everyone to see the lens flare, making it hard to see and move in some places.

-- Some players have told me that loot found in points-of-interest (crewships, galleons, platforms etc.) are not global pickups, like other Railjack-type loot pickups.  Meaning everyone has to go through the map to loot everything.  This can even be seen in the Tactical Chase View, where resources remain behind after other players break the containers.

-- Speaking of crewships, the Grineer security on their reactors sucks.  Cancelling the hack on a crewship reactor shield counts as a success, lowering the shield.  That's the cost of mass-producing your ships (and your labor force) I suppose!

-- Sometimes I find myself pouring all of my bullets into an Exo fighter only to find it's being healed by a crewship - even when there are no crewships in the area!  It's also quite difficult to see the HP bar on ships against the red background of the Veil, so you can't tell right away if you are actually damaging it or not.

  5. (I don't have a picture but I can describe it)

The Gunnery 2 perk lets you aim turrets in any direction - it does this by making the ship vanish around you when you mount the side turrets.  During a mission, I dismounted a turret and found myself in a bugged room.

It was clearly the railjack interior - other players and enemy boarding parties were still there - but the entire interior itself was invisible.  I could still walk on the floors but I could not see them.  Certain things, like doors, the base of the turret hotspots, etc. were still visible.  Enemies, players, and UI were all still visible.

It resulted in a very strange experience -- by knowing generally where I was, and using the visible parts of the ship as a guide, I could wander the ship as if blindfolded in a familiar place, while constantly running into the (invisible to me) walls

  6. I have been trying to trade captura scenes and other syndicate stuff from time to time, but my trades constantly get buried beneath the FLOOD of riven trades.

Maybe if people could FILTER out the riven trades, they could see the rest of the stuff.  But HOW exactly do you filter it out?

(I have tried excluding "riven" and "rivens" but they continue to be shown.)

You might want to leave the picture unaltered.  Altering it makes your complaint foolish in intent.

However, even without the use of a comma it might seem grammatically awkward; based on English rules however, it's perfectly acceptable to have the statement without.

...It's just an arrow.  It's not like I scrawled 'Clem Grakata LOL' on it.

  8. When destroying a spawned Tusk (Shield) Dargyn, the pilot of that Dargyn falls from the point of destruction to the ground.

However, if that Dargyn was spawned on the ground, and then piloted by a Dargyn Pilot, that pilot does not fall from the Dargyn when it is destroyed.

This becomes an especially annoying problem when shooting the pilots before they hit the ground is a Riven Mod requirement.  "Type 1 Dargyns" (the ones spawned in the air) no longer spawn outside of certain incursion/bounty missions in favor of the pilotable version, but the mission itself demands the player's attention away from the sky

  9. I was recently 'educating' someone who had taken to Steam forums after allegedly being suspended from chat, and went to look at the EULA and TOS for reference.

    https://www.warframe.com/en/eula

    http://www.warframe.com/en/terms

As it turns out, the document is quite poorly written in terms of reference.  Very little is numbered and there is a lacking of proper spacing between each section.  Seeing as it is an important document that I think we all should read, it should probably be written so as to be (more) readable.

  10. People in my clan don't often use the in-game chat, and I think I may have an idea of why.  The icon is really small, so you don't notice it when it flashes.  But I notice when someone PM's me just fine, because the tab uses the person's name.

So, how about adding the clan or alliance name to the respective tabs?  It would make them easier to notice when they are being used.

Even better would be an option to display all of the tabs with their names (Squad, Region, etc.)

  11. I'm still nailing down the particulars of this one - but if my suspicions are correct, this is incredibly serious.

About a week ago I started noticing something disturbing while playing Warframe -- My PC was starting to smell of something burning...  It would slowly, subtly get stronger over time (perhaps ~30-45 minutes).  The one time I chose to continue playing despite the smell, the computer eventually shut down with no warning.

Asking around in the neighborly tech forum, they fingered the PSU as the likely culprit.  However, that burning smell would have had to be coming from within the PSU enclosure -- and it was not.  My GPU and CPU are close enough to each other that you couldn't really tell one or the other was the cause just by smelling them...

Then they asked me to send screenshots of the hardware sensors before and during gameplay.  This is where it gets weird:

    Sensors before playing:  http://prntscr.com/h4qtj3

After 10 mins of playing:  http://prntscr.com/h4qzrq

After 25 mins of playing:  http://prntscr.com/h4r77b

THERE WAS NO BURNING SMELL during this gameplay.  Strange...  But the specific gameplay may have had something to do with it - This was recorded during the Vay Hek Sortie, completed about ~30 mins ago.

I know they added a loooot of new technical elements to the Plains map - what was it Steve said?  Perspicular Rays?  Could something like that cause such a severe change in PC usage?

(ALSO NOTE:  After the first time this happened, I went in and turned down all the Graphics settings in-game, as low as they'd let me set them.  The burning smell persisted afterward.)
