What this person does not understand though is that there are different contexts in which different vocabulary makes statements work. For example, to a general audience, datamining is "the practice of examining large databases in order to generate new information". However, to the Warframe community, datamining is what this individual is trying to call "hacking". However, we cannot say that, because Digital Extremes' own Rebecca Ford described this individual's "hacking" as "datamining" in her own Reddit post:

Her "hacking" seems to be in reference to the Excalibur Umbra and Primed Streamline scandals, and as I said before, I was not involved in them. Let me make it clear that I do not have a full understanding regarding how to "inject" models into Warframe nor have I done it myself (since I do not know how to). I do not agree with injecting unobtainable items into video games to promote scams or controversy.
In fact, the majority of the files that were on the GitHub repository were not encrypted. They were parsed out of a file known as Packages.bin, a, while obfuscated file, was not entirely secure. It was not even encrypted or hashed. It was essentially plaintext for the information that was able to be pulled from it. Other files such as Languages.Bin, DropTables (actually an assortment of many files), or MissionDecks (actually an assortment of many files), files that were encrypted, were not "hacked" out (see how the terminology does not work?) of the game. They were extracted from the application sent to all of our computers (meaning that you could access it too, AGayGuyPlays), and a more accurate term to describe the process of making them readable would be "Reverse Engineering". Reverse Engineering is legal to perform in the United States of America (my country of residence). "Reverse engineering, also called back engineering, is the processes of extracting knowledge or design information from anything man-made and reproducing it or reproducing anything based on the extracted information. The process often involves disassembling something (a mechanical device, electronic component, computer program, or biological, chemical, or organic matter) and analyzing its components and workings in detail." "The reasons and goals for obtaining such information vary widely from everyday or socially beneficial actions, to criminal actions, depending upon the situation. Interopability is "the ability of computer systems or software to exchange and make use of information" in a computing context. Hmm. Exchanging and making use of information? You mean like publishing information to GitHub so the Warframe community can make use of it and exchange it with each other?
Apologies, Rob from AGayGuyPlays, but this individual is not a lawyer. All of your tweets that talk about people being "scum" for not agreeing with you and Digital Extremes and that they need to stop being "Google Search laywers"? Totally uncalled for. (Honestly, you should be removed from the Warframe Partners program just for that.) Besides the point, one of your (now) main lines of "proof that I am the guilty party" just seems so invalid, at least to me...-

Shady would be just to IP ban him and remove all possible access he has in the game. Not waste time and create this whole debacle. A 17 yr old cant exactly convince their parents to move or get the ISP to change their IP.
Actually DE being so bold is more damaging to them than it is helpful. They could have even thrown in an NDA but they didn't.
I do not believe that I am infringing on their copyright, but that is what the lawyers are paid to say.
Also, Digital Extremes did IP block me and remove all possible access I have in the game. It isn't like I play Warframe anymore anyway, but you only need the client to datamine. You don't need to be able to log-in.
Yeah, and they cannot force me to sign an NDA. It is my choice to do that. You need to know what you are talking about. -

Still, it isn't my fault that information I published was used in a malicious manner. Just like when you said:

Just like it isn't Tesla's legal liability, it isn't my liability if people misuse the information I provide. I only provided the information for informational purposes, something I have said many times in the past.

But The title is true. They didn't do anything wrong. What did they do wrong? Its their game in the end of the day. I admit before the mines the drop rates were abysmal but that was 2013 when the game was first out and this was their first rodeo.
DE needs to learn to make things transparent enough so we arent forced to mine things. The web pages is a good start. Also data mining isnt illegal if you are under fair use they aren't banning people from doing that. Void glitch posted everything including art and scripts. That was the main issue.
DE also needs to stop being pushed around while the community directors just tanks everything. Meg and Reb don't have law degrees. Dont expect what they say to be crafted in perfection. Picking their words apart for our advantage. If reb didn't simplify what the legal team said to the best of her ability and just posted whatever the lawyers said about 1 percent of the community would get it.
Actually, the main issue was in regard to the Excalibur Prime and Primed Streamline scandals - two events that I was not involved in - yet I am being targeted for. I would recommend reading @(PS4)decogold's comment.

So I'm not going to be pointing fingers really here. DE did the right thing, VoiD was doing the right thing (although maybe not carefully enough) and hopefully this situation serves for something useful for once.My only goal was to upload any information that I could retrieve in a readable and useful format. It was an effort to assist the community. That was my highest priority. All Digital Extremes had to do was ask me to take something down (it seems like they specifically wanted Languages.bin down), prior to a legal letter, and it could have been as simple as that. I do not appreciate being the involved in a legal matter that should not even involve me in the first place.

I mean, think of it this way. The chief dataminer is still allowed to post on these forums (he posted earlier in this thread) and Rebeccca had a conversation with him through private message on Reddit (although I have no idea what was said between them obv). My point is, if they were being totally nuclear and mean, I don't think they would even give void_glitch the time of day, or talk with him through pm's on reddit, or allow him to say on the forums how he feels he's been mistreated. They would just have legal tell him to shut up, and then ban and ignore him. They didn't do any of that. Instead, they are trying to find a solution that works for everyone.
I agree this could have been handled better, but at this point, after the initial mistakes they made in dealing with it, I think they are doing the best they can, and I don't think they are trying to be mean or go nuclear, even if it understandably appears that way.
All I was told was to refer to what the lawyers told me and to discuss the matter with them. Doesn't really help me solve the situation when the lawyers most likely don't know what Warframe is...

I have read your post and I appreciate the time and effort that you and others are putting in to build this website. However, I would like to leave some remarks on some of the statements that you made though.

As others and myself have told you, I was not involved in the situation in which unobtainable contents were hacked into the public build of the game. By revoking my ability to publish in-game data in a centralized format, you have targeted me and your community for reasons that should have only been attributed to one individual (or individuals). This is not fair. Sending me a legal letter to enforce your power over something you have not instated yourself is a terrible way to handle this entire situation.

Still, it had nothing to do with me, so I should not have been targeted for it. Datamining does not equate to hacking, nor does vice versa. They are two different things that your lawyers will not understand if they do not play video games (specifically in this case, Warframe).

Sounds fair to me if it provides an Item Count, Rarity, and Drop Chance percentage.

If you love your Boltor P, you'll love Telos Boltor. It feels like an upgrade to Boltor P.
It's actually statisticly worse than the Boltor Prime, but has a syndicate proc included with it. So, you won't love it unless you prefer syndicate procs to statistics.

I think it's the same rarity as BR, FE, HC, MF. It dropped for me before I even realised they had added it to the game rather than just talking about it. But I did a lot of runs that day trying to get Overextended and didn't get a second one, which I would probably have gotten if it was as common as spoiled strike.
All corrupted mods have the same chance to drop besides Spoiled Strike which has double the chance to drop.

I would like the shuffle to happen, but since PC will always be getting new stuff (that we want) every visit, many of us won't want to change.
If Baro however was always guaranteed to bring at least one new weapon, mod and cosmetic item aswell as previous items then this would resolve the issue, but as of now people don't want to risk getting 3 useless mods when we could've got the Prisma Dual Cleavers.
Yeah, after we get Prisma Dual Cleavers, I'm completely fine with new items (well maybe, Prisma Shade too)

I am pretty sure that the passive does apply to Exalted Blade no matter what melee you are using, remember that in the path notes not long after the rework dropped.
Yes, because Exalted Blade is treated as a Long Sword.
Mesa's passive only affects sidearms, and only dual/single ones at that. I'm not completely sure of this, but I don't think it affects specialized secondaries like throwing knives. May be wrong though.

+50 Health Increase when no melee weapon is equipped
