  1. Eh, most of this stuff would individually be fine for a new weapon, but I don't see DE completely overhauling and putting so many specialized functions into one old weapon. The whole point of Warframe is to build an arsenal of varying weapons/frames and choosing the weapons or warframes that fit the mission. One weapon with half a dozen different functions doesn't really fit the spirit of the game, imo.

  2. That's just, like, your opinion, man.

This round of Tennogen is awesome! The Mirage Mithra skin (Mithra sword skin, too) is so good that I can't decide if I like it or Mirage Prime better. The Octavia Diva skin is amazing and a godsend (seriously can't stand the base skin). The Hydroid skin and that matching polearm skin are sick! The Grax Tonfa skin and that grineer-looking syandana thingy aren't my cup of tea, but they look like they belong in the game.

That Limbo Ion skin is okay I guess (I prefer the base skin), but this thread has already covered why it hasn't been accepted yet.

Mods. Where do i farm the specific ones i need when i cant see them in the codex because i havent owned one yet

Minor point here: if you've completed the codex entry of an enemy that drops a mod (by getting the requisite number of scans with a codex or synthesis scanner), you can look up the mod by its name in the Codex, and it will show you the enemy (or enemies) that it drops from (I think it will also show missions that reward it). Only the mod polarity and stats are hidden until you acquire the mod. (Of course, everything I just said is the kind of information we're talking about here that should be available in the game.)

The Codex should just have a tutorial section with short walk-throughs about these kinds of things, especially where to find things in the interface. Ayatan sculptures being in the Mods station makes no sense, and Arcanes in the Foundry makes little sense. The list of resources that drop on a planet is easy to miss since they changed it to only show when you mouse-over the extractor icon.

I know why they haven't gotten around to this stuff - because it's always changing or subject to change, and updating in-game tutorials is a lot more time-consuming than someone just making/altering a wiki page (I still have no idea who updates that). Sadly, this may be something that we'll just have to expect and that new players will have to deal with.

A link to the wiki in the Codex might be a halfway decent substitute for now, at least.

Bounties reset every 150 minutes which actually makes lenses a frequent drop if you grind. And not just naramon lens.

Also, you don't have to wait for the bounties to reset. You can do them over and over for rewards, you just don't get the standing after the first time.

  5. It seems pretty easy to get them from bounties if the Plague Star bounty was any indication. Plus, it's farmable unlike previously when they were only available from sorties. After the Focus reset that came with PoE, I have so many lenses that I don't know what to do with them, so I can't attest to the ease of actually trying to farm them now.

I want this purely because i need that octavia microphone skin on ALL my polearms

Yeah, that Diva Polearm skin and the Mithra Sword skin have gotten me excited at the possibility of applying these to Zaws in the future. That is, assuming DE does the right thing in response to this suggestion.

  7. Yeah, I think most of the frustration people had with Plague Star had more to do with the issues still present with PoE that (for some) taxes their PCs, reducing framerates and causing crashes and/or disconnections. The repetition/grinding didn't help, either, but that's the same problem with every other Operation.

I thought it was pretty rewarding, even after getting all the new stuff, since you could spend standing on rare materials and forma as well. I bought a ton of Heart Nyth along with multiple copies of all the Zaw part BPs and two full sets of each of the arcane BPs (to trade later...assuming crafted arcanes are tradeable...I haven't confirmed that yet, myself).

It just sucked for the people who weren't able to do it due to bugs and performance issues. I wouldn't be surprised if another boil came crashing down onto the plains sometime in the future, though, giving them another chance to participate on a more stable build (hopefully with some new stuff for the rest of us as well).

  8. I like the idea of being able to equip more than one type of stance for (most) Zaws. Especially since the differences between Staves/Scythes/Polearms are so nebulous in this game. They each have good stances available (imho), so it's not that big of a deal to me. On the other hand, if they ever let us put model-swap skins on Zaws, that could become more relevant.

  9. Yeah, DE/Warframe still has a lot of work to do documenting these (relatively) new and diverse systems and incorporating that into the in-game interface, most of which would fit right in with the Codex. Those of us who have been playing this game for years are used to seeing new things highlighted in update notes and such as they come out, but that doesn't help new players.

  10. It sucks that you've had such a rotten experience. My over four-years-old PC has had a bit of a struggle with PoE for sure, but nothing nearly as drastic as what you describe. I wish I had some better advice for you, but yeah, it sounds like it's time for an upgrade. There is some hope on the horizon: DE Steve tweeted last week that there are some performance/optimization enhancements in the pipeline, so maybe we'll see some improvement when those make it through (if they haven't already), but I wouldn't hold my breath.

  11. I think part of the problem with the recent influx of fresh blood new players is a bit of a skewed set of expectations some may have due to the endorsement of popular streamers who have also recently started playing Warframe. These streamers tend to get a LOT of gifts from their fans who are excited to see their favorite Twitch/YouTube star play their favorite game, which colors their perception of the game and they way they review it. Though the player base as a whole is exceptionally welcoming and generous, most new players won't have nearly that kind of experience starting out.

If you want to get the most out of Warframe, you have to invest a considerable amount of time or money or some combination of the two. However, as far as free-to-play games go, Warframe does a great job of rewarding that investment. Yes, it does take a lot of grinding as a free player to get the game to really open up, but if you put in the time, you can have just about everything that the game has to offer without paying a cent. Eventually, like many veteran players, you may get to the point that 20 platinum for another warframe slot is completely negligible, and you might even become one of those rabid fans sending full warframe bundles to your favorite YouTuber or Twitch streamer just starting the game for the first time. That is, assuming there are any left who don't already play Warframe by that time. :P

  12. I hate Limbo because, well, he's either useless, counterproductive, or just plain annoying. My most hated Limbo "strategy" is high range/duration Cataclysm and Stasis = can't kill anything with guns (unless you spam enough to hit Stasis's projectile cap). This is especially frustrating on Defense missions (since you have to kill to advance the mission), but also when you're trying to rank up a weapon or grind out some focus. And yeah, this includes Kuva missions. Killing things is fun and gains affinity/focus while I wait for the next Kuva cloud to spawn. Standing around in the rift is not.

Limbo is good for Banishing the Kavor in Defection missions and the target in sortie Defense missions, and that's about it. His other abilities are just too disruptive for anything but solo play. Unless he gets another rework before his Prime comes out, I think I'll be taking a break from Public missions around that time.

There is a bit of a dent where the boil was. It would've been nice to leave a "dead" boil where it is for a few weeks. That would've just been a recolor of the boil and removal of the toxin field.

Seems there is something left like a crater... and the toxin field is still active.

I thought I had seen a crater after the operation ended, but I also ran through the area and got killed without seeing anything crater-like or even realizing that was the spot. I think it's not loading properly some or even most of the time.

they were at least combat centric, this is a running maraton+bullet sponge rinse and repeat, id rather be in a corpus ship fighting 5 bursas or something at least challenging in some way.

That one setup where you have to literally trek from one end of the map to the other between stages 1 and 2 is pretty messed up, I'll grant that. But other than that, most of the time spent is in combat. I don't know, maybe I just had more fun with it since I ran solo (so I didn't have to wait for squadmates, and it was a bit more challenging).

  15. I ran it solo probably about 50 times or more, but you don't need to run it nearly that many times to get everything. If you're grinding it endlessly to get forma or extra copies of things to trade or whatever, that's your choice. Yeah, it's not terribly exciting, but what Operation ever was? It's fine.

I don't know Polish, I just pasted what you wrote in Google Translate. The discount coupons from daily logins are valid for 48 hours only. Use it in that time or lose it. Also, there is a Polish forum here (I think): https://forums.warframe.com/forum/238-polski/

  17. It's really not that hard. Check in a spiral pattern starting from the outer edge. Listen for the hum. If you're hearing impaired or just don't have sound on, loot radar is a must. I haven't failed a single one of these yet, though I did come close a few times before they extended the time limit and made the hum audible from father away. To be fair, I have had a lot of practice hunting caches in sabotage missions and syndicate tokens in syndicate missions. So, practice makes perfect.

TL;DR - Try, try again. I know it's frustrating to fail, but such is life.
