  1. The whole portal thing is a bit off-putting to me, but it's whatever, DE likes to crush our expectations with randomness sometimes.
    Being that she isn't a ghost/specter, I wonder what the explanation lore-wise how the frame ended up looking like that.
    Being a portal frame, I see her 4 a bit more acceptable, but the 1 + 3 still seem like potential Vauban kit instead of hers.

  2. Honestly, after Hildryn I was expecting more, but Wisp seems to be a total mess. Maybe from making her too fast after another frame? Her abilities seem lacking to her ghost/specter theme except her 2. Her 1, 3, & 4 should be scrapped in my opinion. They feel like they belong on a different frame completely. I expected some Danny Phantom like ectoplasm ghosty powers, or like Ghost from Ant Man 2, not this. I do admit the 4th is visually great, but just not on our ghost sister. Also, her 1 & 3 feel like it belongs on the Vauban rework. Anyone else get that feeling?

    I just hope she gets changes before release like 'VLAD' did after they did an ability showcase. Revenant's 4 got an entire change, I believe Garuda did too, but for Wisp... she might need more than just one ability swapped out to feel like the ghostly frame she's meant to be.

Simply put, if 1 player enters the elevator back into Fortuna, all players are permanently unable to spawn their Archwing or K-Drive for the rest of the session, even if the player waiting in the elevator leaves the squad. Hoping for a fix asap. This is quite irritating when traversing such a large map.

  7. Needless to say, we all know how bad shields are, overshields aren't any better since they just surpass our max modded shield value, they're still just shields. Mag & Harrow are prime examples. Their main survivability is overshield and other abilities, but we know the overshield part doesn't matter much at higher levels. The huge shield value we can get just gets deleted. I know we had some discussions about shield gating before, but instead of that, why not give overshield a small amount of damage reduction? Any amount I'd be fine with honestly. Overshields have never felt like an overshield, just a "you can have more shield" and nothing more. If you put a shield on a shield, you have a double shield, not a bigger shield. ( What do we do? Melt the shields together to make a big shield for the same protection one shield would give? It's just bigger, not thicker. :crylaugh: )

    Also, I know some frames can give us damage reduction, but it shouldn't be reliant on certain frames to be present. Also, maybe have overshield DR be overridden by Warframe ability DR so the DR doesn't stack? Might not be necessary since we can stack DR already... I think. [Example: Gara Splinter Storm + Nezha Warding Halo (with augment) + Trinity Blessing] Not sure if they actually stack though.

    What do you think about giving overshields some amount of damage reduction?

      The idea is still good though, quick melee focusing on group targets and heavy melee focusing on single targets (or vice versa) is a decent idea, but giving weapons 2 modes will probably never happen 

    I'm pretty sure he meant it working vise-versa as well, using a heavy attack to switch it between both forms, but yeah... I thought Bloodborne too. Lol.

  9. I was hoping for something like this when we got Dark Split-Sword. Would love to see this in the game, but I'm guessing it is currently too big of a mess with code and they would need 2 separate stances on them as well, or even an entirely new stance type for each individual mode-changing melee. It would just be a lot of work to put something like this into the game as of now, but hopefully we can see this sometime in the future. :P

    Thanks, also no big deal with people bashing things. Some people just like to do that without an in-depth reason to feel good about it or something. Idk. Lol.
    I'm guessing it's been suggested a few times and some people out there have no hope for DE making any changes like this since it hasn't been noticed this whole time. Or maybe it has? They have a bunch of things they're doing, can't expect them to read every little thing we have to say and work on something for it. They only have so much staff compared to all the people suggesting things in the forums. :P

      And by your logical, a lot of stuff in the game has to be removed because little to nobody uses them

  12. Okay... hear me out. What if... Primary & Secondary weapons had an equivalent to Warframe Auras & Melee stances? This could balance the weapon types a bit more since melee weapons usually need at least 1 forma less investment into them because of the 10 extra capacity they get. Frames and Melee get extra capacity to work with. What's the reasoning the other weapons can't have this for consistency? I had a really nice idea for it as well to make this not too power creepy as well.

    The New Exilus - Perk mods?
    For this new mod type we should only be able to put supplemental stat mods in this new slot, kinda like how Exilus mods are mainly mobility. A lot of mods out there are unused in favor of damage, so this could help that problem a bit. Not many people out there I see would actually use mods that give a low supplemental stat like Stinging Truth's 40% magazine capacity, Fomorian Accelerant, or heck... even Ammo Drum. Which is sad to see so many mods in the game deemed useless or at least near-useless, since damage mods is how we kill things. This would also make leveling weapons for newer players a bit easier as well since they don't have the extra capacity from MR yet. I think it would feel much better for newer players to actually use their mods on their guns. Also, why even have some of these mods in the game if they're dubbed useless by the community? Might as well remove these mods from the game because all they're doing is confusing new players on how to mod properly and eating up game data space.

    I really like the sound of using mods we usually ignore. Only issue I can see with this are some of the primed mods. Maybe they could be balanced somehow to not be picked over other mods? I would think they'd be picked over other mods since they might grant more capacity. Maybe have every two levels on a primed mod = 1 capacity so they both cap at 10? Or just exclude them from becoming this new mod type? What do you guys think about this idea? Let me know your thoughts about this. :)

  13. After seeing these changes to Vauban, it's pretty clear that these are just a band-aid fix for him. He needs much more of a change than this, which he is most likely going to get at some point. His new passive is nice and all, but you'd think he'd at least get an armor buff since he lost an armor gaining passive. Maybe it isn't too noticeable, but this change did make him squishier. I suggest bumping his armor up a tad. Other than that I had a few ideas for a rework to share.

    Idea #1: Synergistic Abilities

    This change would make his abilities interact with one another in some way.

    Tesla - Can be thrown into a Bastille to electrify it and deal damage over time to enemies caught in it.
                Can be thrown into a Vortex to either, pulse overshields every x seconds, or, extend the duration of Vortex. (Yes, I know this is an augment.)
    Minelayer - Remains the same or scrapped for a new ability of some sort. (Turrets? No ideas for this ability.)
    Potential Vortex Augment changeCrushing Vortex - The longer enemies are trapped within Vortex, the more their base armor/shield is reduced.


    Idea #2: Counter System (Like Saryn & Nidus)

    Yes, some people might say giving another type of counter system could be repetitive, but... not if they don't work in the same way.

    Tech Counters - Enemies incapacitated by Vauban's abilities build up a charge meter. When the charge is full, his next ability gains an amplified effect.

    Tesla - Throws 3 Tesla at once. Shocks from these Tesla charge Vauban's Shields
    Minelayer - Throws out a carpet on mines instead of one.
    Bastille - Holds more enemies and zaps enemies inside.
    Vortex - Reduces enemy shield/armor while caught in it.

    Let me know your thoughts about changes like these for Vauban. I don't play him much, so maybe players out there that do have better ideas for his kit. Just thought I'd share the random thoughts that popped up in my head. Let me know what you think. :thumbup:

    True. Didn't really think about it that way when I came up with it. Just no other ultimate really does anything like that. Maybe not Chroma, but another frame in the future with a "moment of power" ultimate could be fun to play around with.

    And thinking about it, I know I'm not too great at coming up with frame abilities yet, that or I've played a bit too much League of Legends recently and I'm used to their drastic champion changes when they change something. DE is a bit more humble when changing things and makes sure at least most of the community is okay with the changes for the most part. They don't force some drastic change on us and just expect us to deal with it. When Riot reworks champions, it's pretty much removing that champion from the game and replacing it with another just called by the same name.

    I'm not too sure what Chroma "really needs" as far as what the community wants, so far these are just things I came up with on a whim and will be crossing out old ideas and putting new ones. I know for sure his 1 needs a touch-up, his 2 & 3 could be changed in some way or possibly combined, and Effigy needs some help as well. Maybe I should think of something more like Zephyr's rework-ish. They combined Tailwind+Divebomb and gave her one new ability. As of now, Chroma just builds selfishly still because his best abilities are just buffs and makes him very dull to play. Pop 2 + 3 and you're good. We have no reason to use 1 at all and 4 has some uses, but still needs something.

    I don't see this problem with my suggested change. When I think 'press 4 to win' I think of old Ash Bladestorm. Press 4 on one enemy and nuke an entire room. This is just a very limited exalted state I came up with keeping some factors in mind. You can still use other abilities while in it and you get locked out after using it. (Kinda like Elite Onslaught ability spamming)
    I even thought about the ability completely draining your remaining energy to make it really feel like an ultimate, but decided that was a bit much since Chroma relies on his Vex for surviving. Dropping energy from full to 0 might be a bit too harsh if you need to recast Vex, so I thought of just locking the 4 out as it would be a very powerful 'steroid' state that needed a downside to compensate it.

    As for your suggestions, I think your version of Spectral Scream might be too complex for a first ability. While yes, your version would buff it significantly from where it stands now, it is a 1st ability and should be as basic as you can think of while also being effective. No need to add a bunch of things to over-complicate a frame's basic ability so it scales better imo.

    Maybe, but also maybe just make it where Effigy cannot be used while in the exalted state. I always kind of wanted to walk around with Chroma's energy wings out... like Effigy being attached to me while I go around killing things.
