Not all P2P games stores all IP addresses that you connected to in a text file that you can access any time after closing the game

True, but they'd still be easily accessible if one was inclined to look them up. P2P by definition requires sharing of endpoint AKA your IP and the IP of all those participating in the session. You can use a VPN to 'spoof' that, but an IP is going to be shared regardless.

It would be pretty nice if Warframe wasn't an actual IP grabber, lol.
It takes seconds to get the IPs of persons you played with in the EE.log, having a VPN shouldn't be a requirement to play a Warframe securely !

It is a P2P game. The IPs of the people you play with will always be exposed.

Every day since a few days I come to the forums it logs me out. Seems random. I click login, am sent to the main website which tells me I'm already logged in. Go back to the forums. Logged out. To fix this, I have to go to the main site, log out manually. Log back in, and then I'm logged into the forums again.

Anyone else experiencing this? It's really odd. I'm using Chrome.

Same. Started happening roughly three days ago with exactly the same pattern. On top of it, I received notifications about being quoted about an hour ago - except the posts with the quotes were written on Saturday.

    Firefox here.

  4. The Invulnerability is a sign or lazy or cheap enemy design and the new Stalker is nothing more than the latest victim of it. DE, for whatever reason, tend to overuse this (Lech Kril and Sargas Ruk come to mind as well) as a crutch to design "difficult" encounters that would otherwise be either too easy or severely imbalanced (in either direction).

This is not to say that invulnerability mechanics are inherently bad, but the way they are handled in Warframe come off as being absolutely cheap and nothing else. The biggest offender is the visibility or the indication that invulnerability is taking place. I shouldn't have to shoot into the target and get 0s to figure out that I can't hurt it - add an aura, discoloration, sfx... hell, anything to send a visual feedback that the target is invulnerable. Second - add a duration or circumvention methods to said invulnerability. If it is a timer, make it a fixed duration (followed with a visual feedback to indicate that the buff is running out) which will turn the fight into a disengage and kite phase OR create set triggers to break invulnerability (a threshold of Blast damage to be applied to the target or a specific weakspot to break the invulnerability, as an example of the top of my head).

Now that the general Warframe invulnerability issues are out of the way, what can i say about nuStalker? I've seen him only once and he suffered the same fate as his former incarnation - a Soma full auto to the face. Works wonders.

  5. Free market, people can charge what they want.

    Supply and Demand

This. People have the right to set their OWN prices for their OWN goods. You, however, have the right to not deal on the set prices and look for better/affordable/acceptable prices elsewhere.

  6. A small word of wisdom - don't get hyped about anything and you won't have to be "disappointed" (despite the idea of being disappointed for a patch not arriving on time being so off the wall, I have no words for it) I say this w/o a grain of cynicism.

The amount of redundant "U18 WOOOO!" threads that popped up last night was ludicrous. Just go play something else if you absolutely must have this new update to enjoy the game.

P.S. I'm more interested about the patch notes/changes themselves rather than what happens in-game.

  7. Just my 2c on the Palatine design -

While I absolutely like the attention to details and the design of the torso and legs, I very much dislike (strongly dislike, hate even) the design of the feet and the shoulder area. The barefoot-like design is a huge no-no and the lack of bulky shoulder pads, akin to the one currently present on Rhino Prime, make the body structure seem weird, with the top of the body being more narrow than the bellow the belt area. While not an issue with the design, its a huge turn off for me personally - and that is coming from a Rhino/Rhino P fan who was initially drawn to the frame by its original design.

Plus, you removed the codpiece. What is this heresy?!

Regardless, I'm looking forward to your future work, maybe I'll find something more to my taste.

P.S. Can you persuade DE to have your Red Dragon design approved for a Chroma skin? I'd pay for that (+ did the mod ever saw the light of day?)

  8. Apples and oranges. I don't play Warframe and DoTA2 for the same reasons.

That being said, after 400h of Warframe and figuring out my "sweet spot" with frames and weapons, I can't play the game for more than couple hours per month. I just hop on for every event and thats it. On the other hand, I still play 2-4 DoTA matches every evening, but then again, that game has the appeal, depth and complexity that is still to be matched by any other title on the market.

  9. A lot of the mechanics and systems have been downgraded over the course of many patches, instead of being upgraded. Melee system and star chart interface come to mind. Oh, and the god awful Liset "interface" which replaced the perfectly functional interface with a redundant clutter that more annoying to use than functional.

Hell, I remember the "skill tree" the frames and weapons used to have back in closed beta and tbh, that system had inf. more potential and space to work with and improve on comapred to the hollow and one dimensional "card" modding system we use nowadays.

  10. Account Management says 2 years and 4 months. The draw was the aesthetics and the art design of the game + I've known DE since the 90s and the days of Unreal and wanted to see where they'll go with this new game at the time (I still hope they'll pick some queues from the glorious series that were UT, WF can only benefit from it)

That being said, I haven't stayed, per se. I'm playing on and off as I can easely get bored from the game considering how stagnant it can be. I've been around at least 2 years and a half, but only have ~500h played, give or take. Still, I enjoy the core of Warframe, but I firmly think that it has a lot of untapped potential (or wasted potential) I stick around with the hope that maybe, just maybe, one day we can get a complexity similar to something like the best that is Path of Exile, while WF finally finds its true identity.

  11. While I like the idea, I feel future syndicate augments will help to fix some of the "useless" weapons and therefore this feature is just less required if we just patiently wait for the right stuff to get the right augment.

The auguments are def. a step in the right direction, but as long as they are using the standard mod slots, they'll be underwhelming and/or still not helping fix the issues with the weapon in question. If we get augument slots, however, lets say 2-3/weapon, it could open up a nice avenue for "fixing" old/irrelevant/low tier weapons.

Those weapons will still remain within their tier as per progression, yet have the option to be "boosted" to a higher tier once players gain access to Syndicate goods later in their game.

  12. I wouldn't be against such system. As somebody who is very statistics and efficiency driven, bringing more weapons closer (or into) the "god" tier won't be a bad idea - veriety w/o sacrificing efficiency.

  13. The event was lackluster, to say the least. The only saving grace were the VA, the new tileset and how fast you could do individual runs. Glitches aside (and those should not be overlooked, if bugs like the 3x reward/score crop up, those should be patchd up ASAP and extend the event for an estimated time required to recoup from such bugs) the majority of the issues with the event could be fixed by NOT having a single bloody event nod at a time. The whole thing would have been far smoother if we had at least 3 nods up and running at any given time.

That being said, I don't find this "time"/involvment gated events to be really good, hell, they are bad for anyone who doesn't have a lot of spare time on their hands. A humble suggestion to DE would be to go back to event structure like the Cryotic Front or Tethra's Doom, which, IMO, were one of the best (if not the best) events in the game (hell, even Cicero was fun with its "special" twist on the Defense mission mode). Limit the accessibility/availability of the event (AKA have it running for a week for example), but let people consume/participate at their own pace. The arteficial padding out of this last event was dreadful, to say the least.

  14. While mechanically sound, it is statistically inferior to the monsters that are Paris Prime and Dread. I just don't see where a status bow would fit, if it fits at all.

  15. Those who can come up with a coherent argument were already doing that in the first place, those who aren't, couldn't do it in to begin with. I understand your pain, but to expect that every person nurtures a healthy though process in this day and age is... farfatched? This is the Internet after all, a place where everyone has a voice and can share their redundant bollocks.

  16. i see where its is going ...

personal reasons goes over constructive feedback. those nerfs can be done to ANY frame and weapon in the game.

but first of not all mentioned "nerfs" were really nerfs...

for me the whole mod 2.0 was a huge nerf to weapons. but i learned to like the new system.

ok... we will start with forma... so what going to be next ? catalyst and/or reactor ?

for pete sake ... how can people be so greedy ?

you people should learn a thing or two that your actions have consequences.

You know you have no argument there, right? It is a blatant ad hominem, do try better next time.

While on the subject, DE reserves the right to tweak and tinker their game, it is within their power to make changes as they see fit. On the other hand, the players who have invested in now "defunct" weapons/frames feel that the product they've spent money on is no longer the same product and therefor deserve a refund.

    Neither side is wrong.
