The times I had different odds but everyone got a Tau anyway must have been coincidence. Thank you for clearing up my confusion. :)

Every time you don't get the Tauforged varient, the chance goes up by 20% next time you kill this archon. But that creates a few questions: Do we all get the same shard when we complete the mission? And if so, whose Tauforged chance does it use? The highest, the lowest, the host's?
