  1. I love all the changes, been a puddle man forever.  Oh... I gotta find a new nickname!  OR!  Can I please hold onto hope for some kind of emote or idle animation that lets me turn into a harmless puddle?  No game play effects.  I honestly loved how goofy Hydroid always was, looks like the only thing that will be missing is the sort of goofball drunken pirate feel, instead for a now badass terror of the seas thing.  I like both.  But turning into a puddle and ragdolling everything with tentacles and barrages was hilariously fun, if entirely inefficient too.  If anything my friends will be enjoying this update more than me to him since I won't be messing them up as much when I start getting everything nice and wet.  I will definitely enjoy being more powerful with armor strip and being able to actually shoot enemies like I am not on a 6th bottle of rum, but I will miss that little silly part of the old identity.

    Other things:
Goddamn it's going to be nice to have a real passive for once!  I can use whatever melee style I want!
Always wanted some of the augments to just apply to his moves by default, thank you for the mod space!

The wiki mentions that I can move faster while in Undertow by pressing Shift. Am I missing something here, or it doesn't work at all?

    Some other minor things:

    - It would be nice to be able to reload while in Undertow

    - Is being able to see the enemies inside the puddle simply too much to do in terms of processing power or what? The ability would play much better with team mates if they can just see the enemies and shoot at them under the water rather than this 50% distributed damage business.

If your gun is empty when you undertow you can force an auto reload.  It's a nice trick

  3. I've always been a fan of water themed things in games, so Hydroid and Frost are mah broskies.  I just finished forma'ing Hydroid to see how he felt going through the ranks.  Took me awhile to get used to using all of his abilities together, but I got it down.  I still find his Tidal Surge hard to work into what I want to accomplish, but it is definitely in a better place with simply being able to stop it when I need to with Undertow.  Grabbing guys with Undertow is SO satisfying, thank you guys it's really funny and fun.  The ultimate and water effects are great.  Tempest Barrage feels a little clunky to get out, the charge feels like it needs an animation like how the Tentacle Swarm uses the old animation on hold.

OK so now my only real critique of things that still need more looking into.  His passive is now completely ignorable.  You guys have added a cool theme to his moves with charging up the spells and channeling abilities together.  I feel like he needs a passive based on rewarding him for spending more energy and having more abilities active.  How about a personal energy regen based on how much "water" is out from his spells.  So for how many square meters his abilities are affecting he gains a bit more energy back.  If that is too dangerous of a buff, then maybe overshields?  Armor?  Health?

Thanks guys, always been a fan of Hydroid, still am, and I will be tomorrow!  Just... please look into his passive, it looks lazy on your guys' part and right now encourages players into a forced situation where certain melee stances and weapons are clearly stronger.  I mean, Cyclone Kraken (yes, the literal Kraken stance) uses his passive less than Sundering Weave.

  4. Would it be possible to see in a future update the ability to toggle in appearance if we want to use the Prime version of a power or the regular?  I love Frost, bought the skin and love it DE, great job.  But I was using it on Frost and then decided to pull out my Frost Prime and put it on him, and then remembered why I still just use Frost.  It is just personal preference, but I like my Ice Wave without *ahem* "yellow" snow/ice.  If not, then well, I just lose a bit of shields to keep my ice a bit, well, cleaner, than Frost Prime's!

On a side note, please please please, when Hydroid Prime is a thing, don't give him a golden shower.......

  5. I still want a Warframe styled like Issunboshi.  Like a tiny samurai who shrinks and enters enemies, so maybe like that frame you have there?
I had a power set for him awhile back, but the idea is probably gone due to Titania being a "shrink" frame.  He had a needle blade weapon that he could shrink down and zip between enemies to make their weapons malfunction and attack each other.  He had the Magic Mallet that would make ally weapons grow in size for more range and damage and enemy weapons shrink.  He would jump into enemies to control them and of course I would've liked him to have a shrink power for some kinda stealth where he moves slower, but bullet jumps super fast.

  6. Both these things bug me so much on weapons that I want to love using, but it's like driving in a car you like that makes a small annoying squeaking noise when you take a turn...

Drakgoon thing confuses me, is the barrel just supposed to always be red as a design choice?  I thought only Wraith weapons and such were un-customizable

And the Pox, when you aim and throw you see they are flying the wrong way and knowing that eats at any OCD-ness

  7. I thought it would be fixed by now but... does anyone else notice how the Pox throw the wrong way?

Like I throw them and then while a projectile in the air they fly sideways...  I bugs me everytime I see it lol

  8. I've enjoyed some parts of the update, but it really was too much.  Compared to other "major" updates, this one held practically 3 times as much weight with star charts, Kavats, Prime Drops, Junctions, Archwing...  Oh yeah and market...  And the codex area scans...  And... wow I am just thinking of more and more stuff... Oh yeah holsters...

It was the first time DE tried out this SUPER MEGA ULTRA UPDATE form, and it seems like they learned this is not the way to go.

There is a bit of mess in many updates, but this heavy one means there are heavy issues that need quite some hammering.
I actually really hope for smaller updates later.  I'd rather see things grow like we have the whole time playing instead of sprinted out all at once!

Usually I'd be really on DE's side on these kinds of issues, but damn they need to not do this again and they have a lot of work to do on this update.  Hope they take it slow and easy now, and that they learned their lesson about this.

Thinking back to college courses and all that jazz, I know I didn't learn anything about proper software development and taking things nice and slow, but DE can be better than me!

Tbh i want a bamf dual sword stance to go with it the current ones are horrible

My main irk with the older dual sword stances like Swirling Tiger is that the first two attacks still use animations like we are taking the sword and dagger out from our backs all the time like the old days...  Dual swords definitely need some animation love.

  10. It is at a rate right now that makes failure just feel boring.  I've literally had to wait for enemies to spawn after I kill everything and see only 6 reactants.  I think I've managed to close about half of the fissures I've attempted.  Even the ones I finished had a super varied completion experience.  Some were by the buzzer, some were super fast.  And when you can tell RNG is being bad, you just watch the timer go for that minute or so knowing you failed...

If I die or fail, I'd at least like to explode in a cool way or something...  Not just lose because my enemies are bad at dying the random way I need them to

  11. So I have posted a bit before as comments in hotfixes for a couple months now about how there is:
"Still no fix for the red color of the Drakgoon barrel tip"
And there still seems to be no one noticing that or mentioning it.

I know that functionality is more important than art and animation bugs, but as a guy who loves the customization aspect of this game, and has loved all the shotguns this is still tearing me apart.

NOW, there is even a new awesome mod from this event for the Drakgoon!  I want to use it so bad but all I do is stare at that barrel because I am crazy and cannot think about how that red clashes with my black, blue, and gold!

Please!  If you're going to make more cool stuff for a gun and still pay attention to it, can we let people do the same thing with every other non-event gun with this one?  Can I please color this?  Or have it match one of the other tints?  Or make it not red please?  Just for me?  :D

It'd driving me nuts, and I know all ya'll can see it if you made a mod for it just now!

  12. Still no fix for Drakgoon outline on the tip of the barrel always being dark red and unable to be changed.  Tiny thing, but it always is the first thing I notice as a stickler for customizing and I never use it because of it :P  First thing I check every hotfix lol.

Thanks for the Sortie reward changes!  I started doing them again with less fear of so many barrels....  So...  Much....  Karak...  Need...  Lenses...

  13. I don't know if anyone suggested this before, let me know!  I'd want to see it, it would probably be cooler, I struggled to come up with an Ult.  Ant Man has been my favorite Marvel hero since Irredeemable Ant Man so I think it'd be cool to get a tiny perspective on the world of Warframe.  It may be weird, but I always thought shrinking was such an awesome power.  Since Warframe is all ninja, I decided to go with thinking about Issun boshi as inspiration; samurai may be the opposite of ninjas, but it is closer to ninja than ants XD.

Stat summary:  High shields, low armor, low health, average speed

Passive:  Moves and attacks slightly faster for 5 seconds after wall latching or bullet jumping

    Powers:

    1. Magic Mallet:  Toggle being super small or normal size (Think Mini Hydroid glitch that some have seen).  While small, Issun is invisible to enemies but not quiet.  Move speed is reduced, but bullet jumping is faster and Issun is allowed to jump on the air as many times as he likes because of how light Issun is and Wall Latch is unlimited. Changing size stuns nearby enemies very briefly.

    2.  Needle Strikes:  Issun targets enemies in an area (Think Ash Ult mechanics) and jumps from enemy to enemy while small and attacks their critical points  with a small needle blade doing several effects and small amounts of damage.  Enemies with firearms will be confused and fire randomly at other enemies and have weapon misfires from sabotage.  Melee enemies will be cut by the needle and bleed as well as do some self damage when attacking.  Eximus enemies temporarily have their effect disabled.

    3.  Resize:  Issun slams the magic mallet onto the ground creating an area that makes allies' weapons larger and do more damage while shrinking nearby enemies weapons to do less damage.

    4.  Body Snatcher:  Issun shrinks and goes into an enemy, hijacking their nervous system and motor controls to move them and attack using their weapons, when finished borrowing the enemy, Issun grows from inside and explodes the target, causing nearby enemies to run in fear.

The camera would probably look like as though you were using undertow as Hydroid when Issun shrinks.  I think after designing this idea that maybe needle strikes would be a better ult and body snatcher would be cheaper and be the second ability; then make Needle Strikes more costly but add more effects and damage.  The idea of shrinking and jumping onto enemies messing with them and cutting them up as they struggle to even hit a tiny bug is kinda core to this, so maybe that is more "ultimate" of a spell.
