  1. I think you imagined that...

But i saw some impact proc and nothing else yet. (or maybe i imagined that too)

I wouldn't be surprise if it deals only puncture.

Like we already have impact & slash frame.

The design of the arrows being a simple point does seem to favor the Puncture type but it is possible that it actually draws from the damage type of the bow in use. What really surprises me is the fact that this information has not been datamined yet.

  2. With the fact that Ivara's bow seems to utilize EVERY single rifle and Bow mod under the sun at the moment, I was curious on what on what damage type it uses. It has a low status chance so I have yet to find the exact type and I want would like to know if I should add a Slash + Fire mod or 2 Element Mods for max damage. (BTW, I am using Dread)

  3. It's about here that you should have stopped and rethought what you think about mastery limitations and "weapons for starters."

ok, how about this as a counter argument to "weapons for starters". The Ninkondi basically out perform all whips with its 35% status chance and Electric damage, allowing easy Corrosive and Fire combo to take down groups of enemies and it requires a Mastery Rank of 2. It has range equal to every weapon in the whip class yet does their job better with wide multi-hit strikes.

  4. Before I start, I want to say that I have nothing against the new weapons DE has made. Heck, the Mios instantly became my #1 favorite melee weapon of all time. But it's just new weapons are showing off some problems many of the older weapons or entire weapon types have which need to be fixed.

The Mios in particular shows off 2 flaws, machetes and whips. It's clear that the weapon is a fusion of both weapon types but with damage which easily surpasses the machete line while the hook whip end out ranges any other whip, there is no reason to use either weapon class as long as the Mios exists. So why not change this? Machetes have been known as one of the worst weapon types since they are slow and deal low to medium damage while whips are pretty short range for a weapon which is meant to be decent at range. Perhaps a 'rework' much like the heavy weapon rework, not really adding new mechanics but more of a second look at stats.

The Cerata on the other hand has some different problems. A new throwing weapon reminded us of the many flaws of the weapon type. The fact you need to usually need to use 2 mods just to make it decent at being thrown (you know, the entire point to the entire weapon type) making it a bit more difficult to mod for. Now I will be the first to say that I actually like throwing weapons and would hold my Glaive Prime proudly in battle. But even I know that there are so many flaws with the weapon. I have heard ideas (not mine and credit to those who thought of it) that you should be able to use basic sparring moves while the weapon is airborn (much like how you fought during the Halloween event earlier this year) while MGIBlaze has mentioned that the weapons should have a much better AI when bouncing to make the damage more consistent.

The Twin Basolk, which were kind of dead from the start with high status and low attack speed, shows us that the twin blade weapon class NEEDS a new stance. The class has so many weapons and yet it only has 2 stances, both of which feel clunky. Unlike the others, this is probably the easiest to fix as stances seem to be a bit easier to create than balancing an entire weapon type.

  5. And if you don't like Draco you could go anywhere, they appear in mercury for crying out loud! (after 20min of survival in apolodrus, but still)

Actually it seems (and I could be completely wrong about this) that it only drops on Ceres. Draco is just already so popular that it shouldn't be hard to find a team.

  6. By round 20 on Draco, you are most likely facing lv200 opponents or something.

Most people rarely go past 4...

What's stopping you from trying again once everyone backs out after Round 4?

  7. no, Scorpions are an Uncommon Enemy, you see a pretty good number of them through the course of a Mission.

Yeah, you can easily get about 3-5 Scorpions per wave on Draco. That means by wave 20, you have killed anywhere from 60-100 scorpions. These aren't exact numbers but you get the point. If you really want the stance, it should only take maybe a day max.

  8. I just wanted to thank DE for adding the stance for the new weapon and its stance, "Defiled Snapdragon", which is dropped from Scorpions on Ceres. It may have a low drop chance but Scorpions are a reasonably common enemy to find. Why am I thanking DE for this? Because the lase few stances (especially for new weapon classes) have had a bad habit of being dropped from units which have a much lower spawn rate. High Noon, Four Riders, Final Harbinger, Gaia's Tragedy, all of which for either new weapon types or meant to help weapon types which could really use some love

  9. Hold RMB and E at the same time to initiate the whip throw?

That could work, but let's admit that it's already an insane and awesome weapon, it doesn't need to start stepping on the toes of Thrown Weapons to prove it to us.

  10. You do know that "Charge Attacks" are coming back right? Even thought the whip launch would be awesome, it can't work as Charge Attacks are initiated by holding down the "E" button (I believe, need to check last few Dev Streams).

  11. I personally think he is a pretty strong and fun frame. He can pick and choose his battles, save team mates if he can react fast enough, and synergies perfectly with channeled ability teams. I believe he is mostly fine as is with only one small problem, his Rift Surge only increases his damage. Why not allow it to affect all team mates in the Rift as well?

  12. I will admit, Volt's 4 needs a change. I could say why but DE has stated several times that they are already looking at it so I would love to see what they give us.

As for his 1. I have to say that it isn't weak, it is probably one of the most powerful 1 abilities in the entire game. Yes, you can't instantly kill everyone in sight with it but let's be honest, the damage isn't what makes it great. No, what makes it awesome is the Crowd Control. The electric proc from this ability stuns enemies, leaving them vulnerable. Yes, enemies have to be decently close together for the stun to bounce around but the fact that it's so cheap removes that little problem.

  13. Actually Toxic makes more sense than Corrosive as Chroma is based on dragons from D&D. In D&D, the color of the dragon's scales determines what it uses for its Breath Attack. Let's focus on the 5 colors of evil dragons, Green, Red, Black, Blue, and White.
    Red uses Fire
    Blue uses Electricity
    White uses Cold/Ice
    Black uses Acid
    Green uses Acid

Acid, Fire, Ice, and Electricity, the 4 main elemental damage types. In Warframe, we have Heat, Cold, Electric, and Toxic. Yes, it may not be as direct a transition as the other three but it would have felt clunky if DE gave us 3 base elements and 1 combined element.

  14. The revive thing is being reworked - soon it'll be 4 revives per mission, not per 24 hour period.

No one is denying that there aren't P2W mechanics in place already, many are simply saying that we don't want more.

To be fair with DE, it's much more like "Pay to Speed up" than "Pay to Win" as you can't technically buy the most powerful things from DE. But there is a very large flaw with this idea. Draco. Seriously, within 1 hour you can rush anything from Unranked to level 30 so it would be pointless to even add it into the game as no one would get them.

Also, it's an obvious "noob trap" as before you find Draco, it is very tedious to level up everything.

  15. I actually like the idea of having 4 revives per mission as it would help support more Solo play. With only 4 revives a day you become afraid to use them so you feel you NEED to get team mates who end up run and gunning when you want to stealth it up ninja style. This would make it MUCH more forgiving to play solo which is awesome.

  16. Yes, there are many about how archwing is boring and a grind but this is not one of those threads. I will admit that they can be a bit grindy but there are some simple ways to help fight fatigue with archwings. Now majority of archwing weapons are obtained from farming parts in endless missions. To me this is bad, yes it's much like the Void but we have Duckats to deal with drops we do not want, yet there is nothing we can do for duplicates other than selling for a few credits. The way you fight this is to move many of the weapons to the shop like the Knux. The current system is a negative loop where people are stuck "I have to farm Archwing to get things to have fun in Archwing".

But this would simply make many archwing missions feel like they have no real meaning, to help with this I believe some new mods would help which can be dropped as rewards on endless missions. These mods won't be power mods but more along the lines of interesting mods such as Heavy Impact or Thunderbolt.

Another way to help is how much experience is rewarded at the end of a mission. Currently leveling an archwing is x10 more difficult than leveling a Warframe (not using Draco or other farm spots). I believe that simply increasing the experience given would help fight fatigue as there is little in variety for missions so if you want to level from level 0 and play the same tile set countless times.

DE couls also add a new mission type, using existing tile sets. Fleet Sabotage. Start off like the "Eye of the Beast" event where you're fighting your way to the ship, then instead of entering the core normally, you go into the hanger, becoming a Sabotage mission on foot, using Grineer ship tiles. Find the core, bust it to pieces, get out as normal. It would be an interesting way to combine archwing and Warframes.

  17. The AI needs to be a bit faster on the uptake. I have had times where I dash through the door, bullet jump and glide across the room and they are STILL looking at the door for a couple seconds before realizing I am behind them. It would be nice if they would use cover better so we had a point to the jumping around and the speed. Seriously, how many times have you wiped out an entire wave in a couple second who were standing around like idiots with perfectly good cover around them? They have the self-preservation of lemmings.

  18. Are you kidding? I have been looking for the parts since it came out and I have yet to even find a blueprint. You need an insane amount of luck in order to find the pieces. And why is it that we can find the BP when we can simply buy it with credits?

  19. It would be one thing if this was only cosmetic but seriously, the ability to call down health pods is strong, especially since the normal Liset's ability is only good on Spy and Rescue missions. So it's not only better, it's darn near impossible to obtain. Seriously DE, stop making things near impossible to get even when farming for something. I am not asking for it to be easy but at least bump it up to 10% chance being in a rare case, they're hard enough to find as it is. Or another idea that was mentioned was to allow it to drop like Vauban in mission alerts.

  20. I believe that DE should at least DOUBLE the drop rate for Forma blueprints. Now torches and pitchforks down people, there's more. While yes it may flood some people with Forma, it would help those who can't spend 12 hours straight to farm a few blueprints. But what's the catch to help people flooded with Forma blueprints? There are two options.
    1) Allow us to trade Forma Blueprints. I would gladly buy a few for 5p a piece. It would also help lower level players get into the market and the economics of the trade chat.
    2) Allow us to trade in Forma Blueprints for Ducats. Again, 5 Ducats as they would probably be a much more common drop now. This would allow people with "too many" Forma Blueprints to sell for Ducats and buy that new Primed mod or past Event mod they've wanted.
