  1. Banned for chastising treachery, we're Tenno. We do it all the time (you help out some Corpus in one mission, and then some Grineer in the other).

And banned for keeping this game going. I cone back to these forums after like 3 years and this is still a thing lol.

  2. I don't particularly dislike people who cheese. I know that I've cheesed a ton, and I did it because I didn't know how else to successfully move on in the game. Now that I'm a bit more experienced, I can play the game without constantly relying on some crutch ability or tactic all the time. I gotta admit though that cheesing isn't really related to experience, but that's just how it played out for me.

I just don't do it anymore since it's not too fun anymore. I've always had the feeling that a main purpose of the game is to explore different options of gameplay, and cheesing prevents me from doing so. I still do have a combo I fall back on (Excalibro, Grakata/Phage, Dex Furis, Dragon Nikana; Exalted Blade and Radial Blind for days...), but I only really go for it if I'm desperate.

  3. Not anymore. I used to drink coffee every morning, but ever since I got in college, I got lazy and I stopped making coffee. Even when I did make coffee, I drink it with milk and sugar (usually half milk, half sugar). Now, I just drink it to stay up, but I might even stop doing that because the last time I did it, it made me nauseous for hours.

  4. How much memory does your computer have in total? Sometimes you delete a large file(s) and don't notice the effects because your HDD is still filled to the brim with all the other stuff, you know?

You should also consider the possibility of a virus infection. It sounds like your computer isn't running all that fast, and storage shoulnd't cause that (unless you legit have like no space at all). Also, run a cleaner and see if you can get rid of unnecessary temp files hogging up space. The one packaged with Windows should be enough (you do have Windows, right?).

  5. I basically agree with the OP. I've always thought that Tenno technically have all the abilities of our Warframes, but they need each Warframe to focus that energy into more of a tangible and specific outcome instead of just spewing energy everywhere. The Void warped their bodies in a way that allowed them to somehow change their form and fit into the Warframes. To me, this isn't even all that unbelievable, since we're already jumping around making swords and clones of fallen soldiers pop up out of thin air...

I personally interpret Ember Prime's entry as the child just spewing energy without control, which the woman (whose name currently escapes me) interpreted as a burn. Kind of like how you can get "burned" by being exposed to a very high amount of concentrated radiation, but no actual "fire" is involved.

Rhino Prime's entry could just be an early Tenno that was using a Warframe prototype. It's entirely possible that the fitting of a newly-formed Tenno into a Warframe that isn't even fully functioning is an extremely painful and scarring experience. Add in the detail about the first Tenno could have been unstable children, and a disaster of a scale present in Rhino Prime's entry is just bound to happen.

  6. There could be some sort of button on the trade offer, like a button that says "OBJECT" or "NEW OFFER" where you could propose what YOU wanted to give, and that could be either approved or denied by the host of the trade.

    Very good, very good.

I think this idea is pretty solid. You sir, you deserve a cookie.

  7. This is actually not a bad idea... I'd say that you may still run into the problem of the prices falling since everyone will be a lot more aware of what the other guys are selling the items for. Honestly, I feel that our economy right now actually runs on the lack of easy information... But yeah, it would make trade a lot easier and pleasant. Plus, you still get to trade things for things.

Got a question though: let's say that you post a trade in your system that basically goes like "Loki Prime Systems for 50p." Would there be a way for me, as someone who doesn't have that much plat, to work out an alternative deal? In other words, does this system allow for negotiation? And what would that mean for the original post you made?

    Hope I'm making sense here...

P.S. Rant rant all you want, but I'm just giving more of my personal view on an automated trading post more than that other guy. cough cough

Lol. I just came back from that thread. Worst mistake of my online life.

  8. Wasn't really responding to what you said. Was responding to the guy's "why not have normal sized weapons" comment.

Jet Kittag is classified as a Hammer, that can take in Hammer mods, because it's a Hammer, so it can use Hammer stances since it can take in HAMMER mods.

Oh, sorry for being nosy then.

And hammers are heavy, right...? lol

  9. Archwing guns are obviously artistic direction and they come with INFINITE bullets. If you really have the need to connect the dots on archwing weapon size, they also have built in ammo factories. What I was pointing out in your flawed argument, even now, is that things are connected to animation because IT'S A GAME. If primary weapons had weight based off their looks, switching weapons wouldn't be equal throughout the whole arsenal.

You can be choosy all you want about what YOU choose see but weapon size is about art direction not "weight".

Let me just weigh in again since I was the one that made the Archwing comment... I honestly don't mind it all that much. If I (or anyone else, most likely) cared about logic and physical realism in this game, I would have quit almost instantly. The size of the Archwing weapons would be the least of my worries. I just pointed that out because I went through three years of high school physics and I'm a science nerd, so I tend to notice that kind of stuff. I just wanted to to point it out for discussion. Sorry if I lead you to believe otherwise.

By the way, isn't the Jet Kittag classified in game as a heavy weapon? As in, you have the ability to put stance mods for heavy weapons on the Jet Kittag, thus meaning that it is heavier than other weapons? Which makes the whole building requirements thing a moot point anyway?

  10. I'm on board with putting up a leaderboard showing how far someone had gotten on T4 Survival or something would be pretty cool. If they could develop some other interesting metrics with which we can compare each other, I think it could bring a new reason for players to develop their skills in Warframe.

However, that's about all I'd do in terms of your suggestions. Sadly, you have more of a PvP mindset, which is in conflict with Warframe's PvE focus. The point of Warframe is to make you feel ultra badass by killing hordes of enemies with your near-godly ninja powers. You can't really do that in a PvP setting.

Plus, the exclusive gear for better players thing would probably make the community start the third World War with itself. Remember the whole Exalibur Umbra Prime fiasco? Or the fact that some people are still salty over Exalibur Prime being exclusive? This community doesn't handle exclusivity all that well at all. Let's not add another differentiating factor here.

I say that your suggestions could be used to inspire more engaging PvP content within Warframe, but not really the entire game in general. But hey, that's just my opinion.

And by the way, I think it's awesome you're actually good enough at a game to get money from it. And you're not snobby about it either. That's actually pretty cool. I don't know what these other guys are getting their panties in a twist about...

  11. When I'm bored, I read. Usually, I'll peruse tech sites and blogs, or see some science news. If I'm really bored, I'll read some Politico. I've also got a book I gotta read for college called "The Other Wes Moore," which is basically a biography for two guys who happened to be named Wes Moore but had radically different outcomes (one's a Rhode Scholar and the author, the other's locked up as an accessory to the murder of a police officer) dispite facing similar challenges in inner city America. Very interesting read. I also read webcomics, including My Life with Fel, TwoKinds, The End, Blindsprings, and others.

Then there's my crime shows: Bones and Criminal Minds. Love these to death.

There's also my anime when I remember to watch it. Right now I'm watching Blassreiter.

By the way, you should try playing Skyforge. It's freaking amazing...

  12. Short answer: heck yes.

For the Tenno to handle heavy weapons like the Fragor or the Galatine the way they do would require a huge amount of strength. Plus, the fact that they can make them move even faster if they wished though the use of mods shows that they can at least push themselves to superhuman strength

given the correct set of mods.

Plus, I think it would also take great strength to cut metal robots or solid armor in half in the way we always do. Seriously, we cut those things like butter. It would take lots of muscle to pull that off.

Probably because the grattler is a space gun. It probably weighs nothing in space. Logic.

Can't forget about inertia though. If the gun is of a great mass, it'll take a large force to move it, regardless of the presence of gravity. It's Newton's second law of motion. So if the Grattler is heavy, it'll still take a lot of strength to handle it around since it has a large mass.

On an unrelated note: is anyone else bothered by how ridiculously large our Archwing weapons are? Like I mentioned before, the force we would have to use to swing those giant swords around would have to be riduculous due to their weight. I guess you could say that they are composed of very light and strong material. But even then, why is it that our weapons on the ground are normal sized but the weapons in space are super huge? Why don't we just use the huge weapons on the ground and pack maximum damage, if these Archwing weapons are so light anyway?

  13. I don't know if they did change Iron Skin or not, but it would help if you were more specific. What levels do you play at? Are those strength mods maxed? When did you think Iron Skin wasn't getting "cut through like paper"? When did that change?

    Plus,

Iron Skin only absorbs a fixed amount of damage.

When enemy levels start climbing, so does thier damage.

While Iron Skin stays the same.

  14. I honestly don't think this is necessary. I just added an Exilus slot to my potato'd Excal. While I can't really comment on its cost to obtain (since this Exilus slot was free), but I can tell you that I didn't think the drain was all that detrimental. I could have just added a forma and a maxed Rush would have fit in my Excal. Not only that, I didn't even have to use any forma to put a Thief's Wit on Excal, which I wanted to do for a long time but had to sacrifice a more important mod because I didn't have the slot for it. Honestly, I think the Exilus slot does the job it's supposed to do pretty well right now.

I'd argue that it would be better to just lower the requirements to acquire an Exilus Adapter blueprint instead. Maybe half the amount of standing it costs, or make it need one forma instead of two. Making the slot negate mod drain is a bit excessive in my opinion.

  15. I play this game because of many reasons.

It has some of the most fun gameplay I've ever encountered in a free-to-play game. It probably has one of the most fair free-to-play systems out there, where pretty much all the loot and gear can be attained for free with a ton of grind or bought with cash and nothing that affects a player's performance is solely available for pay. It has a huge diversity of weapons and gear, so it's hard to get bored. It has a really nice community. It has devs that seem to care about the community no matter how ugly we can get. It has some beautiful graphics. And lastly, it has Tyl Regor's sexy voice.
