    2. allergic to more or less all types of pollen (outside sucks)

    3. allergic to more or less all types of mold (anywhere sucks and I can't take some antibiotics)

    4. allergic to milk (no dairy)

    5. allergic to citric acid (no citrus)

    6. lactose intolerant (more no dairy)

    7. colorblind

    8. left-handed

    9. red-haired (my skin is trying to kill me and pain killers at the dentist don't work)

    10. congenital absence of wisdom teeth

    11. I have a half-written book about a character named Volt Cruelerz (hence my username).

    12. I have no idea if/when I'll finish writing that book

    13. My girlfriend and I met in marching band.  I was her section leader.

    14. Exceedingly introverted (I rank in the first percentile).  As a result, all group projects/activities are wildly unpleasant.  It's not that I can't work with other people.  I'm generally a pleasant person with them and will work quite productively.  I'll just hate every moment of it.

    15. My best friend (who happened to be co-section leader in the aforementioned marching band) has social phobia.

    16. Discussing gameplay for me is more fun than actually playing the game (this is true in every game I've ever played).

    17. The only game I have ever played online with friends more than once is League of Legends.

  2. I don't really get people that complain about stuff that is good in a game. This is no DOTA or other copies where you need balance. This is you against AI with co-op players. Sure you can argue saying there is PvP also, but that's not really the object of this discussion.

    first off, necro...

Anyways, if you want further information on balance and need for it, please see my profile. Click the relevant link I have posted there.

Aside from that, please let this thread rest peacefully.

  3. Why did you completely destroy Ash? He's completely useless now. WTF?!

I just tried using bladestorm, it barely attacks 5 enemies, it suddenly jolts you back to your orginal position. it does not work.

*EDIT* I'm not trying to say I don't appreciate your enthusiasm for changing things around, it's just that somethings are better left alone.

The same number of enemies are being hit...  It's just that now you have clones...

  4. Not a fan of the Blessing change.  IMO it needs a nerf, just not that one.  Personally, I'd have gone with a flat 3 second invulnerability duration that can't be increased with mods to give players a chance to play preemptively against a single incoming heavy attack.  Then have the planned damage reduction apply.

Not a fan of Volt's shield change...  Still hoping for a floating shield.

    That said...

    HOLY CRAP TOGGLES!

  5. Medic Osprey

Behavior: flies to the aid of recently downed crewmen to revive them them to 50% after channeling for several seconds.  When crewmen are healthy, it will fly about, helping MOAs instead.

Attacks: If it has no nearby damaged allies, it will fly to the player and latch on, shocking the Tenno every second until it removed via a melee hit which will detach it from the player and damage but not kill it (unless of course you've already worn down its health).

  6. - i'm glad that Black Energy is a possibility now, as that makes better customization. some Powers need to have their Energy use tweaked though, but that's nothing that major.

    - i'm not sure a 'blank' option is really a good idea though, without any visual cues, that's a lot of feedback information that isn't there. that negatively impacts the Co-Op experience, IMO.

so perhaps being able to increase Transparency so that it is harder to see(but still visible), would be more ideal.

    transparency packs?

  7. It appears that certain parts of the community will rage until the nerf is delivered. Therefore, I started thinking about what kind of change would satisfy the raging waves, based on what they are saying, and also not completely break Nova's playstyle (or at least the way I see it).

A side note on that bracketed part: I do "bullet time" Nova build that uses high mobility together with mprime slow to avoid most of the damage, flank groups of enemies and pick out the most dangerous targets before they can react. The only "durability" mod in the build is redirection, yet it performs great in most core gameplay parts, like survivals/defense up to 40 without Trinity. I also primarily use sniper rifles.

You can see that with such setup the chain explosion of mprime is crucial for clearing up masses of light enemies, as snipers are ill suited for that purpose, and using AMD requires standing still for a long enough time to be gunned down even by slowed enemies (and then it'll just explode on the ceiling due to buggy tracking anyway).

Back to the point of this topic: the main complaint seems to be that mprime kills the enemies too quickly, without letting them have shooty fun with their own weapons and abilities. So how about we have the explosion of mprime happen with a delay after enemy death, instead of immediately? 2-3 seconds sounds about right, with perhaps a 10-15% increase of explosion radius to compensate for enemy spread. (Incidentally, this will also help your neighbourhood Nekros to have his fun with the bodies).

Tl;dr: Modify Mprime to explode with delay after each enemy death instead of instantly.

This wouldn't really do anything because those enemies are doomed anyways...

Perhaps a better solution might be that any damage enemies take during that delay gets distributed to neighboring enemies when they explode according to some coefficient.  At max level, maybe 25% of the overkill damage gets dealt to surrounding enemies?

  8. https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/225204-how-to-solve-the-change-from-stat-helmets-to-non-stat-helmets-without-penalizing-new-players/

There's one I found, first page of the Warframes & Abilities section.

It's a complex alternative system, but it can appease many players who want both looks and stats, and allow new players to acquire the stats by a new acquisition method. Meanwhile, swappable Arcane Seals would alleviate the problem of warframes being overpowered just because they posses helmet buffs that are way too imbalanced. Like Vanguard. It would also allow new ways to tweak warframes besides mods, if mod-space is tight.

Let's take the concept further. How about exchangeable warframe cores? For example, Rhino Prime has +10% movement speed from the Original Rhino, changing his sprint speed from 0.9 to 1.0 base. If this was a core that could be implanted into other warframes additively, it would be fair because everyone can use it. So if you don't want to reforma from your old Rhino to your new Rhino Prime, you can just swap the prime core into it. Or you can boost Saryn from 0.95 base sprint speed to 1.05 base sprint speed. Or even boost Loki's speed with an additive contribution of +10% sprint speed from the core you found in the void, and he'll have 1.35 sprint speed. He's still the fastest, and it's fair because everyone can use this Arcane Orokin Swift Core they found in the void on any warframe they have. Catchy, yes?

I don't think you realize it, but you just agreed with me.

    The State of Stat Helms
Helms are headed in a new direction

The underlying choice to remove stats from helmets has been well received by many players, because it means any helm can be worn without worrying about modifiers. But the implementation plans are still not being considered the best idea by players. Responses to the removal of stat helms have been split between some suggestions that we remove stats from helms entirely, and other suggestions that we include ways to add stats back on in the future. For now, the future of cosmetic items will be purely cosmetic.

The original announcement can be found here:

Maybe it's just me, but I've seen no such split.  I've yet to see an argument against having the existing stats added as a unique swappable modifier that is independent of the cosmetics of helmets.

  10. Name: Spawner/Spawnling

Behavior: a large, lumbering 4-legged creature that walks about and periodically deploys "spawnlings."  It will not create spawnlings unless it is threatened.  No more than 5+log(level) spawnlings will exist at a given time per Spawner.  Spawnlings may be produced every three seconds.

Attacks: being larger than a Tenno, Spawners will attempt to kick us and stomp on us if we are knocked down.  Spawnlings have small spikes on their front legs that are used to stab players.

    Environment Restrictions: none

  11. The oldest one that I still have?  Burston.  I sold my starter weapons and my Braton after getting access to the Burston.  It was the (as I recall) only weapon I ever pro'd (if you weren't around for it in CBT, the pro system was the precursor to potatoes).  As a result, it accounted for something like 20% of all my kills last year.  I don't think I've pulled it out of storage since getting the prime, but for nostalgic reasons, I'm not letting it go.
