Joystick button configuration keeps changing while in missions.

Often when im playing the button configuration will change which throws my character into a cycle of continuous special ability usage, it wont allow me to do anything until all my energy has been used up and when i have no energy it will keep trying to use my abilities it can be very frustrating at times cause its happening more often
