AllFiery
This idea is probably going to be ignored like most of them, but I might as well try. Also it has probably been brought up before... if so, I would like to be one of the people who supports it. So, I have this idea about giving Warframes the ability to walk on water with the cost of their energy, similar to what happens in Naruto. (they use chakra instead... it makes sense if it’s applied in-game since we’re space ninjas after all.) I’m thinking of removing the magnetic proc of the lakes, ponds or any bodies of water in the Plains of Eidolon during the night and instead, we have the ability to walk on the surface at the cost of -15 energy drain per second during the night or more if that’s still not enough... but during the day, I recommend making it lesser, like -5 energy drain per second. If people aren’t really into walking on water and would rather fall, then it could be used as a toggle option. but if the option button is off, then the waters during the night will still drain their energy, but without the magnetic proc effect... I mean it’s so annoying, you can’t even see how much energy you have left... maybe that’s the point, but I don’t care. But still, “Magnetic Water” sounds ridiculous, even for a sci-fi world... make it emit radiation instead during the night... it makes more sense if the waters are radioactive, but doing so may attract trolls that kills other players, so this may be a bad idea? Or it can be a risk? If it’s a bad idea, then make it proc something else rather than those... like electric or something. Or maybe the energy drain is good enough. Walking on water can also be fun when fishing, I mean I can imagine myself chasing a fish while holding a spear on the lake’s surface. To make fishing more challenging, the fishes could use a panicking feature where when the player walks on the water, the fish will immediately freaks out, but if the player is completely still, newly spawned fishes will be calm, until the player moves on the water. Of course, the player can’t stay on the water forever, once their energy reaches 0, they will fall in the water and respawn somewhere on the side of the lake, pond or on the shore. This feature can be helpful at times like when you’re eidolon hunting and one of your team mates are bullet jumping towards the place where you have to place the shards to make the next eidolon appear... if they fall, there’s a chance they’ll spawn back and try the bullet jump again, which really affects the time heavily. With this feature, it can serve as a stepping stone for a second bullet jump in the middle of the lake, thus saving more time. (I wish you really read the whole thing without getting bored... most people don’t really read all of it and just comment on that particular point where they stopped reading... but anyways, tell me what you think, if you think it’s dumb then... I don’t know.) Edit: Also, is this the right place to post a topic like this? Because I just guessed and I’m still not sure. SpicyDinosaur
No offense but a lot of that was extraneous to what you want, could you do a tl;dr with just what you want. I mean you can technically kind of walk on water on your operator when void dashing. Umm also, this isn't, like, Naruto, k? We are space ninjas. Totally different. DarkSkysz
Water walk would be cool...we all know other ninjas can also walk on water using 'energy'... Or, if they don't make such a change. There are arcanes that negate magnetic procs. Edited August 26, 2018 by DarkSkysz

I don’t really care about the magnetic proc during night, DE can choose it to stay. All I want is the convenience, it’s just annoying when you got blown away and landed on water then respawn somewhere inconvenient.

Well, I just want to add more convenience in terms of traveling, going around bodies of water takes more time especially for people who doesn’t have archwing launchers. Also I think it’s fun. 24 minutes ago, SpicyDinosaur said: Umm also, this isn't, like, Naruto, k? We are space ninjas. Totally different. I mean it could be used as a reference, I’m not saying it’s the same, just similar considering we have kunais, shurikens and skills that kinda acts like our jutsu or whatever, but Naruto isn’t really the point here. But I'm still not...do you just want a water walking ability? How would we get it? Why is it necessary when you can void dash or use archwing just as easily? I was joking on the last quote. 😛 I tried to make it obv but I failed. 😞 1 hour ago, RustGear said: wait for the k-drives Are those the Back to the Future 2 hoverboards? Yea those will probably do that so there's that.

SpicyDinosaur
You peeps put an awful lot of faith in those hoverboards, but Marty McFly had to draft behind a truck holding on with both hands to get any speed.
ReaperOfTheSouls
This is going to make fishing so easy, Step one: equip your fishing spear. Step two: walk on water just avove the fish. Step three: aim everywhere, you will never miss it. Even if you will allow the fish to run away it will make no sense. And btw even of his punish, i love the idea of magnetic water, the night in poe should be hostile, so you have to be carful even if u MR 24. And walking on water only allowed to jesus
