Saryn Prime Plains of Eidolon Miasma Bug

I recently started using Saryn Prime for more missions and found that when I use Miasma (4th ability) on Plains of Eidolon the damage numbers appear at the spawn door, not around the affected enemies. I have ran multiple missions with similar results, so I don't think it was just a one time wonder bug. I see the spores properly display damage on affected targets, just not Miasma. I am unsure whether this includes normal Saryn because I do not have access to her. 

Edit: Attempted in free roam and seemed to work fine. I notice it most when using it on bounties requiring defense of a specific location.
