For starters, if you're in PoE then afaik you can't pause time even in solo, due to the way the plains has a built in shared clock for all instances (i.e. the day/night cycle). Secondly, if you're having the problem anywhere else, what nodes/missions/planets do you have the problem on? Does it happen every time you try to pause, or apparently randomly? Does it happen in all solo missions across the starmap? Speaking for myself, I've not had any issues outisde of PoE with pausing the game in solo mode, but then I don't visit every mission node on a regular basis, so knowing if it happens on a specific node would be a key piece of information. Think I had the same issue in today's sortie spy but haven't stopped to elaborate further. Happened yesterday, too but can't remember which node it was exactly.
