Valkyr Prime, Venka Prime, and Cernos Prime have entered the Vault!
With this Vaulting comes the shift of the follow Syndicate sacrifices:

  • Replaced Arbiters of Hexis sacrifice of Cernos Prime Lower Limb to Sybaris Prime Barrel.
  • Replaced Perrin Sequence sacrifice of Venka Prime Gauntlet to Nami Skyla Prime Blade.
  • Replaced Perrin Sequence sacrifice of Valkyr Prime Neuroptics to Hydroid Prime Neuroptics.

Rhino Prime, Nyx Prime, Boltor Prime, Hikou Prime, Ankyros Prime, and Scindo Prime Relics have also re-entered the Vault! 

If you already wield the power of these Primes or have their Relics in your Inventory, they will remain after the Vaulting.
 

Fixes:

  • Fixed a performance hitch that would occur when using Revenant's Danse Macabre on some tile sets.

Nakak has discovered a new oddity - Once you’ve reached Observer (Rank 2) with the Quills, visit her in Cetus to uncover its mysterious connection with the Plains of Eidolon…

Since this is a miniquest, and therefore isn’t included in the Codex for easy tracking of steps, we’ve laid out the process below for you all. This contains spoilers for what to do in the Quest, but not for the lore contained in it -- read at your own risk!

Guide to Mask of the Revenant:

  Reveal hidden contents

1. Visit Nakak in Cetus and select the “Mask” dialogue option. Purchase the Mask of the Lost One from Nakak and equip it to your Operator. Listen to Nakak’s dialogue for hints on what to do next!
2. Once you have followed and completed Nakak's directions, visit Konzu to select a Bounty with a Revenant Blueprint in its droptable. Complete the Bounty until you receive a Blueprint.
3. Build the Blueprint and claim it from your Foundry.
4. Repeat steps 2 - 3.
          NOTE: The Revenant part you build needs to be different than the one you completed in Step 2 to proceed to the next stage.
5. Return to the Plains of Eidolon with the Mask of the Lost One equipped and find the item within the marked area. Follow Nakak’s instructions to discover more!

NEW WARFRAME: REVENANT

Introducing the 36th Warframe, Revenant! Afflicted by Sentient energy, Revenant rises from the shadows to prey on the weak and unwilling.

PASSIVE: Shield depletion smashes nearby enemies with a knockdown shockwave.

ENTHRALL
Convert a target into a zealous thrall. Thralls turn on their allies and enthrall through damage. On death, they disintegrate into a damaging pillar of energy. The thrall horde remains under Revenants spell until this ability runs out.

MESMER SKIN
Become enveloped in Sentient energy, which redirects damage and stuns all those who dare attack. Stunned enemies can be Enthralled at no energy cost.

REAVE
Dash through enemies as a wall of Sentient energy, leeching shields and health from any encountered, enhanced for thralls.

DANSE MACABRE
Erupt with a multitude of Eidolon energy beams and sweep a circle of death around Revenant. Incoming damage is redirected to the beams. Hold fire to boost range and damage, while also increasing energy consumption. Damage type can adapt to select defenses. Thralls killed by this leave overshield pickups.*

* To invoke a more Sentient theme with Revenant, the damage output of the Danse Macabre can adapt to certain enemy defenses as seen by Sentients in the wild!
3 special adaptations exist for the damage types of Danse Macabre:

Striking Armor will adapt Danse Macabre into Corrosive Damage.
Striking Shields will adapt Danse Macabre into Magnetic Damage.
Striking Infested Flesh will adapt Danse Macabre into Gas Damage.

This will be at a base 20% Status Chance, amplified by holding the default "fire weapon" trigger.

PHANTASMA
Irradiate enemies with a continuous stream of deadly plasma. Charging secondary fire releases a glob of plasma that erupts with homing bomblets on impact.

  • Vauban's Passive has changed! Vauban's new passive: "Deal 25% extra damage to incapacitated enemies".
    • Whether by Vauban's own CC'ing abilities, or the abilities of others, Vauban can amplify his damage against the incapacitated!
  • Tesla is now ‘held to charge’ for increased Damage & Status Chance.
  • Increased the particle FX size for a fully charged Tesla.
  • Repelling Bastille Augment now pushes additional enemies outwards every 4s.
  • Fixed some particles on the projectile not using Energy colors for Clients.
  • Vauban’s Repelling Bastille Augment now functions as it did originally with the intended addition of pushing enemies on enter and every 4 seconds after.

Visit Simaris and acquire the Ludoplex -- a new home for all of Warframe’s minigames -- through Standing. Choose from Excalibur, Volt and Mag, each with their unique Ability. Unlock additional Frame Fighter Warframes by discovering Fragments throughout the Solar Chart.* If the scanned Warframe’s Prime is in your Inventory, you can toggle to the Prime version of the acquired character - custom Fashion Frame applied as well!

*With the addition of Frame Fighter Fragment spawns, we have changed the Spawn chances of Cephalon Fragments if you don't have your Personal Quarters unlocked, to a 100% chance of a Cephalon Fragment spawning, instead of 50/50.

NEW OPERATOR AMP COMPONENTS

Rahn Prism: Pulses void energy through a fine-cut pavilion to riddle targets with flashing fire.

Phahd Scaffold: Launch energy discs that ricochet off victims and surfaces, vectoring toward a new target with each strike.

Anspatha Brace: A dual-purpose brace that reduces void energy regeneration delay, and decreases regeneration time, though not as quickly as a single-purpose brace.

NEW DOJO ‘NATURAL’ DECORATIONS
Bring the outside inside to complete your hermit Dojo oasis! Choose from many nature themed Decorations such as (but not limited to):

  • Asteroid Rock Wall
  • Waterfall (Gentle)

  • Spinklat Plant
  • And so much more!

Additions:

  • Added new Lotus Transmissions for Kuva Siphon missions when attempting to destroy a braid. The new lines better emphasize the clouds being integral to success.

Operator Amp Changes:

  • Mote Amp:
    • Converted to reflect the Beam behavior changes introduced earlier in the year
      • Damage increased slightly as part of the conversion
    • Added +10 meter Range when Gilded
  • Raplak Prism:
    • Damage increased from 1000 to 3000
    • Critical Chance increased from 30 to 38%
    • Critical Damage increased from 2.2 to 2.6x
    • Fire Rate decreased from 5.42 to 2
  • Granmu Prism:
    • Radial Damage increased from 1000 to 1400
    • Radial size increased from 3 meters to 3.5 meters
    • Direct Impact Damage decreased from 1200 to 1000
  • Pencha Scaffold:
    • Added a 2 meter Punch Through
  • Klebrik Scaffold:
    • Converted to reflect the Beam behavior changes introduced earlier in the year
    • Damage increased slightly as part of the conversion

Capture Mission Changes:
Capture Targets now have a 1 minute Bleedout timer after being downed for 30 seconds, upon which Lotus will now alert you that you’re running out of time to capture the Target. Capture missions had become an unofficial Endless mission with the tactic of leaving the Target squirming on the ground for hours while players dealt with the never-ending horde of enemies. The Bleedout timer has been added as a countermeasure to fix the unintended Endless Capture missions.

Changes:

  • Updated the ‘High Contrast UI Theme’ based on feedback in an effort to better aid colourblind Tenno.
  • Submitting message when typing in the Chat window with a game invite open will now prioritize the Chat window over the game invite. This also applies when viewing the in-game Market while typing in Chat.
  • Weapons displayed on Hok’s Entitlement screen now show more information (Mastery Rank, Forma count, etc) to better reflect which weapon in your Inventory you’re Entitling.
  • Personal Platinum and Credit values now appear in the Arsenal UI when in Cetus or a Relay.
  • Empty Inventory Slots now appear with an ‘Empty Slot’ UI text for better recognition.
  • Increased the gain on the ‘Your Creator’ Somachord tune.
  • Improvements towards the Ki’Teer Sekhara being placed at your feet when equipping it.
  • Slightly tweaked the loading spinner to increase visibility on certain backgrounds.
  • Updated text across a wide range of text for better consistency, syntax, terminology, and grammar.
  • Optimized the Chesa Retrieve Precept to reduce significant frame-rate micro-stutters.
  • Made some micro-optimizations to the Helminth Charger Proboscis Precept.
  • Made some micro-optimizations to the Helminth Charger Trample and Huras Hunt Precepts.
  • Made some micro-optimizations to the Sahasa Kubrow Dig Precept.

  • Fixed an issue where default Loadouts would save localized text in the database, which could include illegal characters. Players with such a loadout would find the name displaying incorrectly when playing in other languages.
  • Fixed numerous broken lighting textures in the Infested Corpus Ship tileset.
  • Fixed dead enemy corpses sometimes appearing as giant black squares.
  • Fixed a blocky volumetric light during a cinematic in The Sacrifice quest.
  • Fixed the Little Helper Hat not sitting correctly when equipped on the Helminth Charger Metus Kubrow Skin.
  • Fixed the Metus Kubrow Armor clipping on Kubrow butts.
  • Fixed the Nossos Syandana being offset on Hydroid.
  • Fixed Mirage's Eclipse ability causing some Syandanas (eg. Repala, Vasa, etc.) to change colour to match her Warframe Energy.
  • Fixed the Dax Nikana Skin not properly applying the chosen Energy color.

  • Fixed offsets for several TennoGen Syandanas on Banshee Prime.
  • Fixed projectiles that have trail FX sometimes stretching wildly when they kill an enemy.

  • Fixed wonky door holograms being offset in the Grineer Sealab tileset.
  • Fixed getting stuck in a small pile of debris on the Infested Corpus tileset.
  • Fixed Hok facing in the wrong direction when viewing the Zaw creation screen.
  • Fixed wonky FX when casting Mirage’s Eclipse on certain Armor Attachments.
  • Fixed sometimes getting unintended colors on Venari when using the Randomize feature.
  • Fixed inability to colour some lines on the Spektaka Liset Skin.
  • Fixed Old Man Suumbaat Decorations appearing too close in the in-game Market diorama.
  • Fixed Ki'Teer Sekhara so it appears properly when equipped.
  • Fixed clients not being able to hear pitch changes on remote player weapons.
  • Fixed Kraken sounds not being muffled correctly during stealth effects.
  • Fixed "Falcon" Operator voice missing dialog during first mission in The Sacrifice quest
  • Fixed missing Lotus VO in sections of Vor’s Prize quest.
  • Fixed Ordis saying idle VO lines during Vor's Prize.
  • Fixed sometimes getting an incorrect Lotus transmissions when playing a Kuva Siphon mission.
  • Fixed Nekros’ Shadow of the Dead Infested Brood Mothers producing looping/stacking maggot sound effects.
  • Fixed Drop Ships not playing incoming sound.
  • Fixed volume being too low on Shield and Health bullet impacts.
  • Fixed sound spam when auto installing mods.
  • Fixed returning to an unfinished Observatory when you launch a mission from a finished one.
  • Fixed Grineer textures popping out of view in cinematics.
  • Fixed Grineer Dropships not having their escape FX.
  • Fixed some enemies walking slower than intended.
  • Fixed issue where enemies would spawn in alerted to players in Mobile Defense.
  • Fixed a script error when entering Operator Void Mode.
  • Fixed a script error when casting Rhino’s Rhino Stomp ability.
  • Fixed a script error when casting Ivara’s Prowl ability.
  • Fixed a script error when casting Rhino’s Rhino Stomp ability.
  • Fixed a script error when attempting to use Hok’s ‘Donate’ menu.

Conclave Changes:

  • Reduced the damage of Vauban's Tesla in Conclave.

THE PYRUS PROJECT: COMING IN THE NEXT UPDATE

As noted in the status thread, The Pyrus Project will be coming in the following update! To reiterate, with cert deadlines we were unable to complete bug checking and quality testing required to get The Pyrus Project into this update. We thank you for understanding and look forward to when you can help rebuild the Strata Relay in the next update.  

 

September 13th - Hotfix #1

  • Fixed an issue with Nyx Prime and Rhino Prime accessories in the market that required us to temporarily remove them from the market. They have since been re-enabled. 
  • Fixed an issue with not being able to fully pause in Solo missions. 
 

September 14th - Hotfix #2

Revenant Ability Changes:

As mentioned in the status thread, Mask of the Revenant: Update 23.5.0 includes up to the cherry picked goods from 23.6.0, which meant that the Revenant changes from PC Update 23.8.0 were not included since they went live after the build had already been sent to cert. Well, since Revenant is new for our console players, we wanted you to enjoy him in his new form sooner than if we were to wait for the next major update. So! With that said, this hotfix brings you the changes listed below for our new beloved bearded Teralyst vampire Warframe. Specifics per ability follow below.


ENTHRALL:

THRALLS: We have made changes to have Thralls have more value in life AND death - just as Revenant did. The general rule Thralls will follow is they provide CC in Life, Damage in Death. The goal is simply to have an easy supply of Thralls to make use of in both Life and Death. 

Currently Enthrall has the following uses: 

WHILE ALIVE:
You can get up to 7 enemies Crowd Controlled - they won't attack you or allies and will draw Aggro from AI.
It spreads / is transferred - the Enthralled state is contagious!
You can Reave Thralls for greater scaling Health and Shield Leeching.
If Thralls are killed by Danse Macabre, overshield drops are created. 

AFTER DEATH:
It creates a damaging pillar, and that's it. Not useful enough in death at all!

ADDITIONAL After Death:
We've added the following with this update: 

  • While active, the pillar creates homing projectiles similar to the Vomvalyst attacks and Revenant's Signature weapon, the Phantasma!
  • The pillars can now be exploded to output their damage radially if hit by Danse Macabre.

MESMER SKIN:

On the development build before release, Mesmer Skin was recastable but we removed this due to balance concerns. But, our gut reaction was right and thanks to your feedback we've changed it back to how it was and you can now recast Mesmer Skin to recharge it! 

REAVE:

  • Lowered Energy cost to 50.
  • Revenant is now fully immune to damage while Reaving - it's meant to be a life-saver! 
  • When Reaving Thralls with Mesmer Skin active, it restores a charge.
  • When Reaving Allies with Mesmer Skin active, it adds the protective energy to your allies who happen to be in range. A small protective bonus!
  • When REAVE is cast while in DANSE MACABRE, Energy cost lowered to 25. This allows for quicker, risk-free placement of Revenant for tactical maneuvering.
  • The Direction of Reave now follows last Reticle aim point which makes casting more responsive to intent. 

Revenant Fixes: 

  • Fixed Revenant’s Danse Macabre not breaking containers in range. 
  • Fixed issues with Danse Macabre causing small to big hitch on tile sets with open skies.
  • Fixed multiple script errors with Revenant. 


The following fix will be coming in a future hotfix! 

  • Fixed Gara’s Mass Vitrify blocking Revenant’s Danse Macabre lasers.

Valkyr Prime, Venka Prime, and Cernos Prime have entered the Vault!
With this Vaulting comes the shift of the follow Syndicate sacrifices:

  • Replaced Arbiters of Hexis sacrifice of Cernos Prime Lower Limb to Sybaris Prime Barrel.
  • Replaced Perrin Sequence sacrifice of Venka Prime Gauntlet to Nami Skyla Prime Blade.
  • Replaced Perrin Sequence sacrifice of Valkyr Prime Neuroptics to Hydroid Prime Neuroptics.

Rhino Prime, Nyx Prime, Boltor Prime, Hikou Prime, Ankyros Prime, and Scindo Prime Relics have also re-entered the Vault! 

If you already wield the power of these Primes or have their Relics in your Inventory, they will remain after the Vaulting.
 

Fixes:

  • Fixed a performance hitch that would occur when using Revenant's Danse Macabre on some tile sets.

The whole community knows, and has also said and repeated over and over again, that your works are excellent and very appreciated.
I really appreciate your work and the effort you take to make warframe a better game.
Unfortunately I can not say the same thing for your latest work "Chroma prime"
For a long time the players who use this warframe were waiting for its first version and hoped that an appropriate Rework would arrive with it too.
But obviously not.
It is really a shame that even for the release of its first version you did not give a Rework to one of the most loved warframe of all.
We all understand the reasons behind the nerf insult of about 7 months ago (it has been said so many times that I do not want to repeat it).
So I did not expect an epic rework ... But a generous increase in the armor provided by vex armor definitely.
Now it makes no more sense to play with Chroma the damage bonus is extremely low, but it would have been bearable if accompanied by a high resistance, which is missing from the warframe.
So, from level 45 you already see the weakness of Chroma, so much to think "but why should I use it instead of others?".
I'm not saying to bring everything back to before the nerf, but certainly to restore all its resistance yes, because what has hurt the real Chroma players (not those who hide behind the excuse "you're not building him properly") was the useless and huge nerf to his peculiar ability, the resistance.
The choice of digital extremes is really horrible not to allow this to Chroma because it shows that De does not listen at all to the voice of his community, but continues to churn out new content that, although beautiful, would be better accompanied by good warframe (and not the nidus site or the usual valkyr).
For this it would be appropriate and absolutely welcome a buff in the coming days (although a doubling of the buff damage vex armor would be welcome and would make it perfect, balanced and suitable even at high levels of endgame) of its resistance, so as to report in life the dear little dragon loved by everyone.
I really hope that DE wastes 5 minutes to read this comment and understands my thinking as many other people who would just go back to play with one of the warframes that have made the story of this game, and maybe bring it to even higher levels of 45 without being a ball at the foot for the team.

Fantastic update! The “quest for Revenant is somewhat poorly done as returning to the Plains between acquiring parts isn’t specified and Konzu doesn’t have much to say regarding either the mask or the new Warframe, which is frustrating and a little sad. 

The new Vauban Deluxe Citadel Skin is great, and really accentuates the “Booben Train” vibe in proper steampunk fashion! His weapon skin is also great, but the color channels do not translate when applying Warframe colors. The antique, metallic sheen is also NOT present on the parts of the weapon skin that have direct counterparts in the Warframe skin. It really ruins the overall look of the entire set. 

It might have “supposed” to have been designed that way, but the overall “alabaster” appearance doesn’t look very good. The real problem is that this is a deluxe skin bought for the soul purpose of how it looks. 

This problem is very similar to the Inaros Ramses bundle with the Scarab Syandana and Kopesh Greatsword skin at first not having the appropriate metallics on the skins. Thankfully these were quickly fixed, but the Mortier Heavy Blade Skin AND Marquis Sugatra in the Citadel Collection have yet to be! 

The problem is the Primary color channel on both the Mortier Heavy Blade Skin and Marquis Sugatra don’t have the antique metallic effect similar to the Tertiary color present on the Vauban Citadel Skin. I’d like to list the actual differences between the two skins and their color channels, but everything except the Accents and Energy portions on the appearance tab for the Mortier Heavy Blade Skin are wrong. It would be great if you could have someone look into it otherwise keep up the great work as Fortuna looks extremely promising! Congrats on the Chroma Prime release as well! 

 

In my less than humble opinion it would be great to change his #1 to something that doesn’t tickle the enemy though; more damage please!

September 26 Hotfix #4 is now live!

  • Gram Prime Riven Disposition now matches vanilla Gram.
  • Fixed Rubico Prime icon having an incorrectly placed magazine.
  • Improved visibility when aiming with the Imugi Prime Armor equipped on bulkier Warframes (Rhino, Chroma, Atlas).

Yeah... About that... How bad exactly is Gram Prime going to be ner- err, I mean "balanced"? I'm going to preface the following statement by saying that - in no way do have an issue with this as it's a PvE game and while some semblance of balance is needed, there's no point in "balancing" weapons to the point that they're about as effective as wiffle bats and bb guns - but Gram Prime is a textbook example of "power creep".

Again, I don't care, infact, I love that it's strong. I always liked the way vanilla Gram (mmm, vanilla grams) looked, but there was no point using it over vanilla Galatine or War. The problem is, I'm worried it won't stay like that 'cause as it stands, it 💩 s all over Galatine Prime - a weapon heralded as the best melee in the game if you're excluding Zaws - AND it has a strong riven disposition due to its vanilla version.

If the disposition is lowered, that only screws over players who rely on their "God roll" rivens to use vanilla Gram since disposition is tied to the weapon name and not the variant (Prime, Vandal, Wraith et cetera). I know what someone who isn't seeing the bigger picture would say to that, "why would anyone still use vanilla over Prime?", to which I say, MR lock (which can be bypassed through Prime Access, but not everyone is going to buy that) or no luck farming for it and zero plat to buy it.

If the damage is tweaked, potentially no more hideously glorious power creep which depending on how much is tweaked would either

A) close the gap between Galatine and Gram, giving you a not so obvious choice of which one is "better" (though with the riven disposition, it would still be Gram, but riven would be the key word there as you'd have to have one)

or

B) essentially be right where their vanilla versions are at in that Galatine > A paper with a sword drawn on it >>>> Gram

I'm very curious as to what the future of this weapon's stats will look like.
