When building in dojo space, objects lack a texture past a certain point

When building outside of certain dojo rooms (aka space). Some objects start to appear completely black and lack textures. This greatly limits creative building! This only seems to happen from a certain point on. Imagine the "no-color-zone" like a bubble around the dojo, if you pass it, ugliness.
