He plays the constant wailing moans of eidolons. Hes a better DJ/party host that Octavia ever could. A little bit of sentient stuff combined with vague connections to vampire ideas. When people called the concept "Vlad" I had other things in mind. So I definitely think the OP isn't that wrong either. It's more fun to think of him as the dancer in the club that Octavia runs with her friend Mirage (and Rhino as a bouncer).
