Covert Lethality for dual daggers

With this new Twitch Prime bundle coming up, I think that the Fang Prime deserve a quick bandaid buff to them by allowing all dual daggers to equip Covert Lethality on them. The whole weapon category is completely useless. This would make the weapons even somewhat usable in stealth missions, because at their current state they probably cannot even kill a level 70 enemy with a single stealth finisher. I know that Melee 3.0 is coming, but if you're going to give us a ''free'' weapon with Twitch Prime, at least make them somewhat more useful than just straight up mastery fodder.

The problem is that Covert Lethality adds a flat damage bonus, not a percentage damage bonus. The mod would be disproportionately strong on dual daggers due to their extremely high attack speed.

Dual daggers would need their own mod in order for it to be balanced.

true. But the point still stands- They need a new mod. Leave the instant kill on stealth finishers, but reduce the damage bonus proportionately to the attack speed. Alternatively, change covert lethality damage bonus to a %.

Dual daggers don't have extremely high attack speed, they're pretty much medium and barely go beyond 1 AS. Single daggers are as fast in most cases and only Accursed whispers from Spinning needle stance delivers a lot of hits at once.

Covert lethality could perfectly fit to dual daggers since they're mostly terrible weapons. The only difference between both is that dual daggers are meant for dealing with more opponents than simple daggers but overall daggers are more powerful for now - so Covert lethality wouldn't be OP on dual. Raw additional damages won't make them too powerful because their scaling is atrocious (lack of viable crit. build or low status effects).

It wouldn't be overpowered at all, it would be on par with everything else that people currently use. You can mod ridiculous attack speeds on weapons that have massive damage at base, and those weapons also have 6 meter base range. Fang Prime wouldn't be able to reach S#&$ even if you have Primed Reach and a 2+ 1- riven for attack range. Fang Prime also has base 5% crit and 5% status so you currently cannot reliably build anything on those weapons other than just flat damage.

I have a fang prime riven with -122% range.

it should, in theory, hit enemies in a very small area behind where the attacks hit.

i have never noticed a difference.
