Why the silence about melee 3.0?

Why have we heard basically nothing in a long time about melee 3.0?  We've seen very little of the actual usage but what we have seen looks like it could be shipped out right now.  So why was melee 3.0 not a part of this update?  Will we see it sometime between now and Fortuna or will we have to wait till that drop or even beyond?  Being as this is content that affects the base experience of the game, it seems like something that should be prioritized to get out as fast as possible so people don't feel as though they've had a lessened experience for playing through everything on an outdated system.  (Obviously speaking primarily about new players with that one as it's too late for most of us)

This was answered on a Devstream. 

TL:DW - They're still tweaking it, and they feel it is not ready.

Maybe it's fine to be vastly different. They did the same with parkour 2.0

What did we see? Melee 3.0 working for 2 weapons/weapon-types?
That doesn't mean it works for all the weapons out there.
Something that wasn't adressed so far is the future of dual wielding.
And there may be other things DE has plans for.

So no, we saw nothing ready to ship. We just saw something to show us the idea of melee 3.0. Nothing else.

It's been put lower on the priority list and Fortuna is now their main concern. Steve said so on his stream.

They talk about it constantly. There isn't any silence on it. It is ongoing and is a major overhaul, it's taking a long time.

You would need to actively avoid anything the devs say here, on twitter, or on the devstreams to think they have said nothing in a long time.

Except for the fact that the thread isn't about "when is 3.0 going to be here" its "Why hasn't anyone said anything about 3.0"

For those playing at home. Silence is usually a good indicator of many things happening at once. No time to tell the masses. Things are getting done.
