Ability To Preview Clan Emblems

Such a feature would benefit every clan owner that is hesitant about adding/updating their clan emblem due to the fear of it not looking as they expected it too look in-game.

This feature already exists. Check your profile on warframe.com. Go to: account management -> clan settings. 
It's clearly stated there:
You will get a chance to preview the image before it gets submitted with your platinum

Well, there is a preview, but it doesn't accurately reflect how the emblem actually appears in game.  Specifically, brightness and partial transparency are not depicted accurately.

I had an reasonably simple idea a while ago for how to fix it, but it went nowhere.  

Without that, there are some basic rules of thumb you can follow that should make it work out okay
 - Scale your brightness so it maxes out around 190/255
 - Avoid large areas of partial transparency
