Can't glide in melee mode

I use a 360 controller, and I barely use melee mode. Months ago when using it I hated that glide is LT when holding a gun, and RT when in melee mode, so I switched the bindings. Hadn't used melee mode in a long time, and the other day I tried using it, and realized I couldn't glide or block at all (neither LT nor RT work). I checked my bindings, and the visual UI for the controller bindings didn't have "block" anywhere (not even on LT). I click on LT to change the binding, and inside the new binding UI it said block was bound to LT (which is weird that it didn't show up in the visual part). I tell it to bind to LT, and try it, and it doesn't work. I come back into the bindings screen, and block has reverted back to not being bound to anything. I bind it to LT again, and try it, and again it switched back to not being bound. I did this a few times and messed around with it, and it finally stayed bound to LT, BUT I still can't glide while in melee, and I can't block at all.

I'm having the exact same problem. I also use a 360 controller. The left trigger works perfect for everything else (aiming, aim gliding, bringing up chat when in my orbiter) but for some reason when I equip my melee weapon my left trigger does nothing at all. I usual have block set to left trigger and can't block or glide but I then tried switching block to right trigger and attack to left, I could block just fine then but couldn't attack. For some reason it seems only when the melee weapon is equipped the left trigger becomes useless.
