What Is Endgame?

Question

Okay so I'm 110 hours in, been playing for going on 3 weeks now, have 4 level 30 frames some have been forma'd, Same with my guns... I'm wondering what is considered endgame here. T3 runs? Farming Raptor? Dojo PvP? I've yet to run T3 Def but any other T3 is pretty simple run. Farming Raptor is a joke with a Loki. And I've yet to join a clan but not really interested in PvP. I've also nearly completed all the missions.

So am I missing something else here? I'm still having fun doing all this and grinding out my frames to 30 again and again, but there must be something else to this. I'm hoping they're going to make bosses require a bit more strategy than just spamming powers and shooting too.

If they go WoW on us and keep putting in better weapons and higher level enemies then this is as good as the game will get. It's all downhill from here with nothing but an ever-increasing gap between the new player and the old.

If we're lucky they'll set a cap like lv X being the max level enemy in a 'normal' mission. Endless stuff being exempt of course. Then we'll have a bar to compare things to and the game can be about variety and tactics.

I think Phobos was a good, GOOD, indicator. They did not push on the max level of the map or make it gear gated. We're still seeing power creep in the weapons with the Twin Gremlins being straight upgrades of the AKBoltos, but hopefully the damage type revamp will set some things straight and we'll see weapons come back into line.

Bosses which require strategy and tactics, who have more phases where each phase requires a special action to be performed take months of programming. And this game is still beta. Lots of new things will come.

More like days, testing included.

It could take a year if you don't put enough time in it, though, sure.

would be cool to see endgame content increase the squad cap to like 8 or even 16 to handle like multiple giant robots with many phases, who spawn lots of adds, or fighting against a whole army, dynasty warriors style, going through huge castles and killing hordes, and a few bosses.

I'd be fine if they went WoW on us.  You know what else WoW does along with higher hp harder hitting mobs to kill with your higher dps weapons?  Continiously more intricate fights with at least some new (and some that are recycled and paired with other mechanics to at least have a new combination) mechanics each time.  In warframe the difference is just higher level but identical mobs or very simple boss fights (though they're definitely working on that part) as you go from Mercury to Pluto.  The difference between a level 60 raid boss in WoW and a level 90 one isn't just the level, the new ones are incredibly more complex encounters in comparison to the original ones.

Warframe would just need to not follow WoW in making all but the most current content irrelevant.  Why is a gap between new and old a problem as long as both new and old have new content to enjoy and things in game to work toward?

Yeah I'd be down for something along the lines of WoW really. So long as it's different than what it currently is, which is stand around, mash 1 or 4, shoot your gun.
