DE name tag

I want to use the name(DE) at the beginning of the clan tag, but I don't know the rules, I wonder if there is a disadvantage

It's short for "The" and you know it, plus I'm hardly the only person to have it.

A bracketed, capitalised DE on the other hand... A bit too close.

Yea, I just thought it was a little ironic. 

On topic though, monkey is right, a capitalized DE in brackets or parentheses is just too close. 

Something like de- might be allowed though.

i've seen players with [DE] in there name before but... not sure if they had there name changed by mods or not

I would run it by support but I would put money on it it wouldn't be allowed as you'd be impersonating a DE employee. You could do what the first poster did with De, you could probably get away with DE so long the DE is not separated from the name. EX: DEUSERNAMEHERE Though that may be a stretch
