123Olympian
I have seen too many nerf threads as it is, from nerf Nova to even nerf the forums. As people said Nova and Vauban are going to be the new standard, then why don't you make that true? The plan is simpler than killing Batman. Mastery Ranks. Make the point of new warframes being new standards by having them only up for people whom actually played the game for a while and did not leach the whole time to get the warframe. For paying customers? That's what you chose as I don't want to get into that. If we have a requirement for Rhino then why not the other "higher tier" warframes as well? inb4 omgvaubanissuworthlesomgnerfnovaandnerfthreadsbecausetheytoomuchdmgsoutputomg Seriously though, there are other choices than spamming nerfs and buffs. Hayden11121
It's not nerfing, per say. It's balancing. Do you really want this game to turn into Maple Story? That screenshot is old apparently. So here is one of MapleStory, 2 days ago. Edited September 5, 2013 by Hayden11121
PsychedelicSnake
People will whine for nerfs and scream for buffs. This will happen no matter how many threads anyone posts to combat it.
NovusNiveus
Nerf the forums was me. No, I wasn't serious, though it amuses me that you might have thought so. I'm just having a laugh at the whole situation; my guns still shoot bullets. I pick my gear based on the sound it makes. Honestly though, all this QQ gets on my nerves. It's as if some of these people only have one key on their keyboard. Edited September 5, 2013 by UnearthedArcana

PsychedelicSnake
"Balancing." Balancing isn't instant gratification. It takes time. Sometimes YEARS. Until we see the whole picture, it'll seem like a senseless nerf or buff.
Hayden11121
"Balancing." Yes. It's the act of making things fair without power creep. Let me ask you, if every gun was as OP as Acrid, and every frame could destroy things like Nova, would you enjoy the game for more then 30 minutes? Sometimes I swear F2P games attract the most mentally unstable people, because if you think 1 shotting things makes for a good game that you play for more then 15 minutes at a time you are sadly mistaken. Bakim0n0
It's not nerfing, per say. It's balancing. Do you really want this game to turn into Maple Story? I actually agree here... there have been give and takes that have mostly made frames have a more defined role in a team.
Angius
People will whine for nerfs and scream for buffs. This will happen no matter how many threads anyone posts to combat it. Some of people will also whine for buffs and scream for nerfs. There were, are, and always be people, that don't like something, no matter if it'll be nerfed, buffed, or left without any changes. Sixty5
Balance is an important part of any game. The changes are a step in the right direction IMO.

It often takes a while before everything is perfectly balanced. Keep in mind that you're currently playing a beta.

gallowsCalibrator
I wonder what Nerf thinks about their name being used as a term for making things worse in every game ever.
PsychedelicSnake
I wonder what Nerf thinks about their name being used as a term for making things worse in every game ever. Nerfs are often attributed as being wholly bad, but this is not always the case. Say something instant kills no matter what. Nerf it = good thing. Say something instant kills no matter what. Nerf it = good thing. I don't mean that. i mean that things that are nerfed are literally worse. Whether or not the nerf was good or bad isn't what I meant. There are good nerfs and there are bad nerfs, but at the end of the day, the nerf made whatever its subject was worse than it used to be. BadAimbot
Warframes are supposed to be balanced with each other. Each one is supposed to be viable in some way and not outclassed by another. DE has stated this before. Why else would they be trying to balance Mag, when she is a starting 'Frame?
MisguidedGT
Let me ask you, if every gun was as OP as Acrid, and every frame could destroy things like Nova, would you enjoy the game for more then 30 minutes? That's a fair question, IMO. Destroying things with reckless abandon can be fun, but I do think there are some things in the game that are out of balance, and the game suffers if all sense of challenge is lost. In an ideal world, we have a range of choices we can make that suit different play styles and are also effective. I'm ranking up Twin Gremlins at the moment, and I think they are going to become my go to secondary. I know they aren't as effective as Kunai/Hikou/Despair, and certainly not the Acrid, but I think they will be effective enough that I will enjoy using them. Bakim0n0
I wonder what Nerf thinks about their name being used as a term for making things worse in every game ever. I doubt they care. The whole reason the term came to use in the first place is because of what Nerf products are. You shoot your friend with a gun, they pretty much bleed and die and such... nerf gun? soft foam bounces right off. Same concept with the way it's used for games. I do wonder what the company Wang thinks about how that name gets used...
shut
It's not nerfing, per say. It's balancing. Do you really want this game to turn into Maple Story? Holy crap, that's an old screenshot. To give you all (especially you, DE!) an idea of what the infamous "power creep" does to games, allow me to bring forth something a bit more recent. This is a screenshot from two days ago, on what was once the hardest boss in the game. It didn't survive the hit.
