qweztu
DE knows what updates they have done to make the game easier to play and what updates they have made the game harder to create a game they will be satisfied as being complete. And with this recent trend of easier difficulty through better weapons and mods, no doubt there will be repercussions in some other aspect to balance out those changes as it's illogical to lose all their fans through making this a simple FB game or something. An example of a positive change: Auras changed to give positive mod points. >> -benefits newer players not blessed with potatoes moreso than potatoed veterans (37/30 vs 67/60 mod points) -starting to level a Warframe from lvl0 is more fun because the player does not feel so sad/weak/useless leveling up -older players talk 'bout "game's too easy" with 7-14 more mod points, which only really allowed auxillery mods to be added onto a Warframe, mods like uhh... that health&shields mod, or maxing out some mods or something. Psychologically the potatoe vet will feel better with the extra mod power, however much the actual aid is. In this addition of mod points, the game makes players happier to progress through the game and end-gamers can fully flesh out their Warframe and feel badass. >> -DE is one step closer to creating their intended gamer experience Now is one of those moments where DE will balance out their easier changes that (I hope) many players have accidentally forgotten about, not accepted as the chosen dev route of DE. (Prime, Vandal, Wraith weapons, Aura change, better mods, fixing mods, etc.) You will no longer be an almighty god casting your deathly spells and then standing around doing nothing because everything poofed to molecules. You will use your skills to augment your fighting capabilities with your weapons. This is the path that DE is taking on the game experience. I(we?) can only hope that DE is going to continue their awesome balancing because there are many more large changes to come until Warframe is a solid gaming experience. Nova will get the balance hammer later, as Vauban will get a change many months(?) after initial release. (ps. please tweak Superjump so that the player regains control of Excalibur if they stopped moving upwards :)) Regarding the specific changes in the Warframes, I'm sad that I won't be able to try them out for a long while because I already created and sold Mag and Trinity (I'm sticking with two Warframe Slots) and I won't be able to make the other Warframes any time soon. Anyways, I'd like to commend DE on their updates. I implore that my fellow Tenno think with open minds regarding updates.

Let me bring up 2 warframes as examples.Rhino: Good balance of skills, good damage, utility, and benefits entire party. Good stats. Alt helm makes up for his only weakness, his speed. Ember: Skills consist of, 25 energy dmg, (soon to be) 50 energy dmg, 75 energy damage, 100 energy damage. S#&$ stats, low shield, low hp, average run speed. Skills all require ember to be in close range to fully benefit. Did I mention she would be shredded to S#&$ trying to use them? Beautiful balance. Splendid. Complete damage system overhaul to fix the fact that armor and resistance scaling makes most abilities and weapons useless. Not to mention many abilities are getting damage INCREASES. We will feel more like gods from an ability standpoint. How weapons will work, we'll just have to wait and see.

Ember also has the ability to have 92% damage reduction at 50 (base) energy cost, which is pretty darn amazing to me. For that alone she is one of my favorite frames, since WoF is also an amazing ability against low-leveled enemies (any below 70).

Overheat's damage reduction is getting nerfed in favor of more damage dealt.

Have you seen the latest live stream? THEY'RE BUTCHERING HER. Only thing she'll be good for is making Kentucky Fried Chicken, good thing shes in uniform. The only thing Scott is drastically changing is her survivability with Overheat. And it actually kind of makes sense to buff all her damage to counter that. More things dead=less things to kill you. Ember is the poster child of "best defense is a strong offense" (I know the saying is backwards but it works in this case). I don't think any acceptable level of damage increase can make up for the lost survivability, but that is just my view of it. Nova will always be better at the straight up damage 'Frame than Ember will be.
