Planes Drone Escort

So i am used to enemies spawning outside the level where you can only hit them with explosions or other AOE attacks but today in the planes i had something happen wich almost ruined the mission for me.

I was escorting a drone near the shield thats around the planes, when it just went trough it and went 50M away from me and just stopped cause i couldnt get close,
The enemies however could just keep spawning inside the shield and i while i could shoot them i couldnt get the drone to move eventualy i managed to get close enough by using my archwing to just push against the shield but it was tricky as i was constantly bouncing off the shield
