The title says it all, please let us queue up to 24 hours worth of a single item in the foundry. Sitting in the foundry for 10 min to build 100 Ciphers or any number of other items is not fun.

the annoyance of waiting is there to tempt you into spending Plat on Rush items.

a queue would only reduce that motivation.

If you queue 10 Ciphers it is still going to take 10 min. I don't understand your point.

The annoyance of having to walk back and fourth to the Foundry every minute to claim and activate each new cipher.

Some Players are actually willing to spend the plat to Rush them so they don't have to go back and fourth opening up that menu each time.

another factor is Engagement

Having to manually activate and claim every item in the Foundry instead of Automation

means the players are constantly Engaged with it and the opportunity to spend plat on Rush jobs, or by altenratlvely outright bypass via Market Purchase

Engagement can be subtle, but its good marketing psychology.
