Fortuna for me is a bit of a let down

Really?  You're going to quibble on that?   You're still saying it was a let down, even if you're qualifying it with "for me".   Negative criticism about a product not even released.   Great for getting attention (if that was your goal), misleading and worse than useless as feedback.

I think for me fortuna is a bit of a letdown because i had hoped that long teased content which i personally was excited for didn't make it into the final product, i never said fortuna was "bad". And clearly you didn't read because lemme quote my own post

" Fortuna is looking to be super awesome but i do wish that they had finished some of the smaller projects."

So where in that did i say fortuna as a whole was going to be bad, i even opened up with saying that i wasn't judging it

Yeah i can see what you'd say that.

Only for me this feeling of disappointment overcame me when i saw the very first live archwing trailer thing. I felt like i was the only one in the twitch chat like "nooooooooo"
So basically it's pretty much how i feel about railjack, it looked insanely boring piloting the big ship.

I thought we were getting some crazy expansion on the starmap like you could actually pilot your little ship around to navigate.

i don't mind that they are going this direction but i still to this day really don't like playing archwing. at all. in fact i just don't anymore. i remember them saying it's completely optional and it seems we are getting further from that every update. Which is fine.

Just not for me.

and that's okay. i don't really like plains of eidolon either, but i stomached playing it, it's getting better i feel like i have to use archwing in it though to get anything done in a reasonable amount of time. Hopefully fortuna will make me like the open world direction.  I for one, just don't really like all that many open world experiences.

i was hoping for some small changes on the shooting model this year and maybe a little gore 2.0 Melee 3.0 is the most exciting for me, because it focus's on the core experience overall

to me the most exciting stuff is the stuff that affects the overall gameplay experience.

I've long asked for a career goal challenge system with some rewards to keep players interested in a feeling of progression whilst content droughts are a thing.
The feeling of progression is HUGE for me. Prestige system(doesnt have to be called prestige for all you who freak out and scream go play call of duty when that is mentioned) (outside of forma) (cosmetic) that is supported in the UI for those who like to show off what gun/frame they have spent ridiculous amounts of time using. just little stuff like that goes a long way.

at this point DE should really really really hire more people so they can keep their content flowing, right know, and with no offence, they are just going to release a bigger plains of eidolon without the eidolons (cuz the big boss spiders are not finished yet) with the same type of missions (rescue the native, EsCoRT ThE DrOnE, defend the console, and kill everyone, i think playing those same types of missions for 5 years is starting to become tedious) fishing, but with robo-fishes, and wander around looking for poop...

oh and fashion frame for MOA specters (not like kubrows need attention or anything right?) with hoverboards (you cant shoot while ridding those... how exciting..)

right i also forgot the mastery fodder personalized secondary weapons

railjak on the other hand sounds kinda exciting, and i think thats the original direction for when they wanted to implement archwing to the main game, you being able to go from normal ships to archwing mode

and of course the new war, where theres finally (i hope) going to be an all war fighting hordes of sentients, not going to risk it and say also tau system cuz that still seems really far in the future seeing how slow are they managing content flow nowdays

seriously, if you cant release new stuff in time, hire more people, is not like money isnt comming in so you can pay them

OP, most of your replies probably should've gone into the body of your thread opener and you may have avoided half of the replies that way. I get what you mean but you probably worded it in the worse way possible. Could've probably just said, "damn man, I wish if Railjack and Melee 3.0 shipped earlier but oh well. Looking forward to Fortuna this week". Gets the same message across but without the negative connotations. Eg, it's the difference between saying, "your product sucks" and, "your product could be improved".

Every game you see developed goes through this process (except maybe Ubisoft games, which are so sterile in their adherence to formula that they might just skip it). The bigger the game, the more ideas are played with, refined, replaced, or simply thrown out because they don't work as desired or aren't worth the time and effort compared to other features or projects.

DE is unusually forthright about this process, and talks extremely openly in devstreams and other social media with the explicit understanding that the stuff they talk about is subject to any revision up to and including being removed outright from development. This is pretty cool, and we love getting these kinds of updates, but in order to make this work we need to take a little responsibility for how we receive this information and what we expect from it.

The Tek mod set seems like it might be nice. That set bonus though, depends a lot on what that damage type is.

*facepalm* Let *me* break this down barney style for you, since apparently you didn't bother reading *my* post.

I never said your post was the problem.  I said the *title* was the problem.   Your post itself makes it clear that Fortuna is "looking to be super awesome", but you are getting replies based on the negativity in your title.   The title is what people are responding to - it's the first thing people read, and it colors all the perceptions of the content behind it.   Had you put a neutral or constructive title on the post, you would be getting no grief about the post now.

Instead, you chose to put a title on it which is clearly negative and judgemental, even though you completely contradict it in your post.  (Which I read multiple times in it's entirety before I even chose to write about it...)   Fortuna is not actually a let down at all -- it's your expectations of what should have been released with it which is the let down.   Now... you can continue to complain about how everyone is taking your post wrong, or you could, perhaps, take this as a constructive criticism for future posts and choose a better title next time.

DE made it clear, that Railjack is a separate, big project and thus it will be released later.

As for melee 3.0 - it's a massive overhaul for the most important system in WF. And because it's the most important, DE is obliged to do this without making melee useless.

DE made it clear, that 2-handed katana as a new type of weapon is getting its release along with melee. 3.0 to avoid releasing it just to have to rework it.

I take some solace in the fact that this is apparently just the first update to Fortuna, Rail Jack though was said to not be included with Fortuna since Summer, I would not expect that until spring next year at the earliest.

As for Melee 3.0, i don't want them just dropping that in without putting up the workshop they suggested that they were going to do, first, along with more demonstration.

Seems like people forgot the Revenant Nodachi is a completely new weapon type, yes the weapon is ready, but it's ready for melee 3.0, there's no version of it that would work with our melee system atm and that is why it hasn't released yet.

Clickbait title makes you look like you're judging the update before you play it. Content of thread suggests you're just sad that not everything devs have been working on (melee 3.0, Railjack) aren't coming out with the update. Consider editing your title to be more in line with what your points are.
