A question about arcanes

Recently I just built an arcane for my operator. Anyway I slotted into one of the arcane slots and I'm wondering. What happens if I stick a new arcane in that slot?

Will the old one return to my inventory or will it be used up kinda like a forma is?

I would just go ahead and find this out myself, but I would rather not waste resources on the discovery if I can avoid it.

Arcanes are interchangeable, kinda like mods.
It'll return to your inventory, you don't have to worry.

arcanes are now interchangeable it use to be only syndanna and helmets that could equip them.

Only the scarfs and helmets could be equipped with arcanes huh? Well now I'm glad I've ended up building an arcane after this update is already long gone.

Yeah, the change is nice so you aren't stuck with the same fashion frame because of that arcane living on a single syandana
