VentKids race displays inaccurate gate counter and the race never ends

After reaching the final gate, the timer continues to tick down and disappears when it reaches 0, but the kid never comes up on the screen telling me how i did, the gate counter stays up (reading 20/11 gates when there may have only been 8 gates) and the objective still reads "Race through the gates".

 

EDIT: I believe this happens when you fall off your board, but the race should probably fail at that point, rather than still have the gates up and have this glitch
