Floating Heads on Vent Kids

Has anyone noticed that the Vent Kids have floating Heads, that are not connected to their bodies, but held by some construction? 

I wonder why

Their heads are not "floating", its just that even the children have cybernetic parts and probably, eventually, they will change their normal heads for those things we see in the other people of Fortuna. This is their "neck" and the rest of their head is sitting on top of it. No one have any idea as to WHY anyone would want to do that, but its probably something forced on them to facilitate brain-shelving.

Yea thee are cute a the first,but then when you see closely then you realize that they are creepy dolls... 😁

They are detachable, and the one floating on the board has frustum culling issues that clips out the head when you get close.

Given that Thursby had a robot head even though the rest of him was organic, I think it might just be a thing the Solaris DO. Similar to how the majority of Cetusians have masks with them at all times, even if they're not wearing them.

Glad i'm not the only one who thinks they are creepy as hek. Basically they're all little Frankensteins Monsters who got decapitated and their heads reattached to their bodies... or someones body.

I assume it's part of preparing them for future augments when their bodies are more developed. Plus they probably have their lungs removed already, allowing them to actually survive going topside,

Also if you angle your camera into their chests you can see an empty cavity similar to the other Solarians, textured and everything.
