Please make mining lasers go through pets

I shouldn't be punished for bringing a pet instead of a sentinel just because Fluffers McWibblefloof decides to have an AI hiccup and spin around in circles right where I'm aiming. Sometimes they just randomly run around in circles when I stand there, and they never stop. It happens very often, and it's mightily annoying.

Visually they go through, but they interrupt and block the actual mining.

I'd rather have mining lasers do some damage so I can break containers and such when I don't have a melee weapon equipped

i had doggo cause a problem once or twice, but since i don't need to move the Laser anymore, i just keep Mining regardless of what doggo is doing and it just works, idk

The problem is them blocking the laser. It's no good being transparent if the laser isn't going through them. For example:

Here, there's a heat node exactly where my laser is. I know because I aimed at it just before my cat got in the way. It is now blocked.

oh, i saw just now.

if you were already shooting the Laser and Mining, the Companion doesn't interrupt. 
but if you try to start Mining with it in the way, THEN it does. ok.

The companion can interrupt it while the mining is in progress, too. This was just a lot easier to get a screenshot of.

I can attest to this atrocity that the pet will interrupt whenever it feels like it, just like a real cat.

never had this happen. i only posted because seconds before i got blocked by trying to initiate with my Companion in front of me rather than already in progress.

please be turned off when you have a Mining tool etc equipped?
