Make old prime weapons better.

Prime weapons should be the best (other than modular weapons, I guess) But every time a new prime weapon comes out (esp. melee) they get stronger and better.... which is understandable, DE wants us to pay money on these so they should be exceptionally good... but I think prime weapons should be somewhat equal on terms of overall performance, and only differ in playstyle, and have advantages only in a few certain occasions (measuring to other prime weapons). Just like older Prime warframes got some armor/energy buff after the first different stat prime frame came out. It was a really good idea. 

TL;DR: Give some love to old Prime weapons so people can use them instead just let them have a useless collection.

Definitely I wasn't talking about Tigris prime... but hey did you know we have Boar prime too... It should be almost as good as Tigris prime... Both are prime shotguns... but it isn't near to it.

They are Prime in relation to the weapon they are Primed from. Prime does not mean just the freaking best in the game forever.

Boar Prime is MR 11

Tigris Prime is MR 13

And since they have rebalanced guns to better represent their tier, Tigris is simply a higher tier Prime

Boltor Prime MR 13 - Sybaris Prime MR 12 

Sybaris is much stronger

Soma Prime MR 7 - Latron Prime MR 10 (or Bruston Prime MR 12) 

Or just compare Soma p - Boltor p

You compare apples and pineapples. Soma is Hitscan while Boltor has slugs

As for Sybaris you forgot Dex Sybaris which is neither and as strong as the prime variant, just a sidegrade

DE balanced it around the MR. That's why Soma Prime (MR7) is weaker than the normal Tenora (MR10).

Then you need to learn how to build it properly. Boar Prime can be almost as good as Tigris Prime. One has higher Damage and only 2 shots, the other is fast firing with a high magazine

They have done this already. Some weapons are stronger than other and it's only based on their mastery requirement. They aren't old, they're lower tier. For instance the boar prime is almost as old as the game but it's an excellent shotgun sitting at MR 11.

i dont own any prime weapons beacause of my rank being 6 right now, i guess my suggestion and improvement for warframe is to make these weapons more intereseting as they level up / rank up, and to make cosmetics alittle more fun.

maybe be good idea to also make up some level 1 / prime weapons with low requirements: like attaining rank 30/MAX on any weapon, or being gifted something useful, a free mod, or silencer for a pistol, laser sight, or hud/ui feature, as for each warframe a unique weapon blueprint unlockable, and other level up items or special abilities, i see the prime LEX coming up in two levels, but really i dont see what is better about it, it just looks more armored, what if it had a better radar and special slots, rail and ammo / attachements, a melee attack or guard, or energy ability/enhancement and secondary fire when crouching, or sprinting feature. 

also pickign up a new weapon and changing them at any point is a bit confusing, the presentation is short of ownership and rights, and materials there just isnt enough hints or visual guides for palyers who are new to the game to have a easy time learning the systems, blue prints are expensive and annoying lack of usesage for re-doubly-kubrow is not happy.

at least give the MAX rank weapons a unlockable set of skills or passive traits, and cosmetic pass or item such as some special slot for a mod/attachment(s). Rank ups should aquire access to special gifts and blue prints or mods / mail or foundry and scavenging parts / coordinates, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------some sound effects and animations could be improved the load outs and shops, relays and a new earth boutique/ weapons specialist / cosmetic shops plenty of room in the relays and towns,***********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************            The rewards and equipment unenroled and factioned operatives / tenno can find when visiting each planet or mission should involve some radiant guidance hinting at visiting factions and earning new gear, parts for exchanging without signing a contract, the player should be able to aquire warframe upgrades and special machines, and coin/currency as they participate in each missions/bounties, there should be more weaponsmith and machinist who are willing to exchange goods, with faction labaled weapons, and tittle based gear/equipment/ and cosmetics for joining, improving tittles, and add additional prime to trade/exchange or earn from missions&trade orbs for schematics/mods.

  • orbs dont have any guiding or lesser rewards, so player get items that they cant use for years to come.
  • leveling up should unlock parts / default mods for each weapon.
  • MAX rank items should gain features, passive traits, ability, crouch skill, zoom and sprint powerup, non-combat upgrade/functions for map/creedance/rep
  •  Unlockables  /mastery rewards / unlockables.

Well the could rise the MR requirement... but yeah I forgot about MR I was MR 20 since 2016 and I started play again after a 1,5 year pause and now I'm MR 21. I don't really check the MR level of the weapons, that's definitely my bad here... but then what I say is that they should rise the MR level of some older prime weapons. Clearly MR is not something hard to rise... like Fang prime MR 0??? (And dual daggers should be able to use Covert Lethality) I mean who is MR 0... the starters who didn't do 3 missions... If someone does all the low level missions on starting planet, does the first junction, makes all his base weapons and warframe lvl 30 and weill be MR2 only 1000 Matery points away from MR 3 That's like the first 2h of the game. How someone would get a Fang prime at that time... (with Twitch prime I know... but normally)

My Latron Prime, Braton Prime, Soma Prime, Burston Prime and Sybaris Prime is collecting dust in inventory where I bring Tiberon Prime all the time.

Since Semi Auto - Latron Prime
Full auto - Braton Prime/ Soma Prime
Burst - Sybaris Prime/ Burston Prime

Damage wise kind of give and take as discounted versions of the other weapons

I am effectively carrying 5 weapon's equavalent that 
I can just forget about using the other weapons

Since versatility and convenience seems to over-shadow the shortcoming of individual aspects.



Extensive investigation 

Using Crit Hunter Munition build as base line all identical builds used to test out the differences between weapons
Serration, Split Chamber, Shred, Point Strike,
Vital Sense, Argon Scope, Hunter Munitions, Vigilante Armament


On semi auto (Tie with Latron Prime)
The same build lose out to Latron Prime in terms of
HM's slash proc tick (2000+ on Latron Prime vs 1200+ on Tiberon Prime)

However it is noted that Tiberon Prime have roughly 50% more crit chance so
the slash proc is occurring more frequently so the number of shots required to drop level 125 corrupted bombard
remains nearly same.

On Burst ( Tie with Sybaris Prime)
The same number of burst required for Tiberon Prime and Sybaris Prime
seems to kill enemies equally fast, though noted is Tiberon is 3 round burst vs 2 round burst on Sybaris Prime.

But one thing I noticed is 2 shots from Tiberon Prime semi auto seems to equate to 3 round burst damage output, 
given the versatility of Tiberon Prime it is possible you switch to semi-auto and give 
a 2-round semi auto fire as opposed to 3 round burst in shortage of ammunition.

Burston Prime got out-gunned and the result is rather embarrassing.

On Full Auto (Tiberon Prime wins)
Braton Prime is clearly under-powered when using a Crit + HM Build, but status build seems to be
even weaker on Braton Prime. 3 mags of 75 rounds (225 rounds) to take down 4x level 125 corrupted bombard.

Soma Prime has significantly higher Crit on a full auto platform, but it has relatively less base damage so
a 250 rounds or so is required to take down 4x level 125 corrupted bombard.

Tiberon Prime has an intermediate crit chance between the Braton and Soma, 
while the base damage is much higher than Soma, 2 mags of 42 rounds (84 rounds)
is the average it takes to kill 4x level 125 corrupted bombard.


Versatility modes (Tiberon Prime)
- Double Tap on semi auto 
this is equavalent to the Sybaris Prime's 2 round burst, however the obvious advantage is 
the manual control over the 2 shots, that is something similar to using Duplex Auto
but with much more user control.

Now the strong part of the Tiberon Prime is you are just one alt fire away from changing between
fire mode that can easily rival a primed weapon
